Awesome OS! It's so true how a scent of smell brings back a lump of memories!

This is by far the most beautiful piece I have read on this forum. It has all the elements - Paro's soft subtleness clashing with his raw, coarse nature, and when intermingled something magical, sensual is created. And this piece was everything - lyrical, and these two objects gunpowder and roses gave a very refreshing aura to their relationship.

'Sandalwood and roses' seemed to remain with me after I read Combust...

And now you combined this with gunpowder...

Just loved the way you blended it all...'they' smelled of sandalwood, roses and gunpowder..

Also, the thought that his smell is fading and her own smell is overpowering now...seems to her like he is slipping away from her...very nice touch!!

Also loved how you incorporated the mirror apology in to this story...

His pillow, his side of the bed, his aftershave, his shirts...and the lingering fragrances... I think all us girls have a crazy fetish...<shaking head in wry acceptance>

And how do you come up with these pearls??

He never said much when he was there, but his absence spoke volumes..
