As usual Apt title, beautiful analysis.
It has definitely been the Pied Piper effect with Parud
For Paro since the day (or even before this) she openly accepted him openly as her protector.
And Rudra from the moment he placed himself inherently as one to safeguard her.
The dance was on the surface was everything - sensuous, electrifying, goosebumps...at the time the it was a subtle preview of their connection & life.
Rudra is the commanding force & Paro the calm one. He has never failed her yet, she has immense faith in him. Also the entire build up of their intimacy to th dance allowed her to let her guard down. So when he asks her to surrender she is more conscious of failing his image. Just like he was angry at those people staring at her after he rushed up.
Although Rudra has successfully controlled his attraction towards Paro till now, here was a moment where the time, place occasion all merged in such a way that the 'stormy' feelings that were simmering within him could find release within the realms of boundary.
Paro may be oblivious to the attraction aspect betwen a man & a woman, yet she is unnerved by that scorching gaze, affected by the touch of his hands & the harsh impact of his body. In her innocence , she followed his lead, yet was aware of the sensations of unaccustomed feelings. Her hesitancy showed in her eyes ...
The direction of the sequence was too good, the viewer could feel the zing in those touches that Rudra planted on Paro...
A special mention to th tea scene & how he took care of her inexperience in these gatherings...as well as remembering she didn't take milk but only sugar.
I love VK Singh wife..she is very astute when it comes to Rudra, & Paro. She has soft spot for him so would naturally be equally loving to his life partner.
