In tonight's delicious episode the CVs gave Rudra and Parvati much to think about. Reflections that awoke different emotions in them and roused them to different responses.
Paro's reflections about not accompanying Rudra to Jaipur, as she struggled to pull the bangles off her sensitive wrist, brought her no cheer. So she tried to mitigate her disappointment - she'd always known he wouldn't take her with him to the ball. And it would have been strange to accompany him to Jaipur. But her brisk talking-to gave her no relief. So she bent over the hard-hearted glass bangles encircling her burning wrist for one last tug.
Moments later it was Rudra who was bending over her hand staring at her angry burn with appalled eyes, barely comforted by her assurance that he was not responsible for the wound. His reflection as he gently stroked a salve on her reddened skin gave him no ease - it must have hurt her to wear the bangles earlier. Why had she not said anything?
A few more questions about the injury gave Rudra all the clues he needed. It was Kakisa who'd insisted that Paro should roll up her sleeves and expose her wrist, and Kakisa who'd organised the bangle ritual, Rudra reflected out loud as he tended to Paro's burn. Paro had not told Kakisa about the burn. Therefore it was Kakisa who must have inflicted the burn in the first place. And roused to action by his conclusion, Rudra strode off to deal with Kakisa.
Shortly thereafter, a chagrined and fuming Kakisa was left reflecting on Rudra's brains, that wretched girl's cunning in stymying her plans, and her own run of bad luck that had all combined to spoil the weather for her.
She'd have been cheered if she'd seen the clouds descending on Rudra's brows moments later. Seen the sombre reflections that stopped him in his tracks and made him lean against the wall for support as he realised the real reason for Paro's over-bright smiles and tantalising touches while he'd squeezed her injured wrist into bangles. And reflected on his own over-reaction.
A reflection that whipped him into inviting her to accompany him to Jaipur later in his room. Of course, he had to couch the invitation in concerns for her security if she was left to Kakisa's mercies without him to protect her. But it did the trick. Paro was smiling as she stuffed her dresses into their suitcase.
Much later it was Paro's turn to reflect on the strangeness of it all. The bell-boy to take their suitcase to their room, the lift, the sumptuous room, the key which could not be hung beside the door but which was a card that turned the power on...and off. And necessitated grabbing on to Rudra's solid arm and drawing close to his body for protection against the darkness. Such a welcome defence that it took her a while after the lights had been restored to let go of him.
But the most rousing reflection of all was to come just a little later when Paro unwrapped the myriad delights the room had to offer: the red roses, the card on the bouquet bearing both their names, the rose petals on the bed, the romantic swans, the TV, the air-conditioning, the chocolates and the champagne. It was the champagne that bubbled out when she popped the cork that had Paro dashing to the bathroom to moisten a towel in preparation to cleaning up.
And it was her accidental gaze in the mirror above the wash-basin as she directed the jet of water onto the towel that gave Paro a steamy reflection of the very male, very nude Rudra in the shower with his back to her. So steamy a reflection that Paro was roused into clapping her hands over her eyes in reflex, and forgetting all about the towel, into running out of the bathroom.
When finally she mustered up the control to close the bathroom door with her eyes shut, it was inevitable that she would fall into the arms of Rudra, who'd chosen that very moment to pull it open. A freshly-washed, still-wet-about-the-hair, deliciously fragrant Rudra clad in a muscle-defining tee-shirt and a towel about his hips. A Rudra so dangerous to her self-control that Paro preferred the questionable attractions of the bathroom to the unquestionable attractions of the bedroom.
There was no time for reflection when Rudra, in response to his CO's summons, rushed to join him downstairs, absently taking the card key with him and engulfing the room in darkness. That time would come later when the CO's wife noticed the key in his hand, and Rudra realised that he'd left Paro all alone in a strange, dark room.
Tonight the CVs gave us what we wished for - PaRud on their extended honeymoon in Jaipur. There was oodles of romance as we saw Rudra caring for Paro in just about every way there is - physically easing the pain of her burn, and giving her as much happiness as he could emotionally. Giving her the trip to Jaipur that she'd looked forward to, reading out their names on the card, a tour of the suite and the chance to experience its new delights, the reassuring warmth of his presence in the dark and the rousing warmth of his reflection in the mirror. And there's more romance to come tomorrow. Those eight vows really might never have been. At this rate we'll be heading for an almost consumashun before PaRud return.
Rudra's realisation of Paro's burnt wrist today rather than on Friday was eminently satisfying. The deferred delight more than made sense coupled as it was to Kakisa's comeuppance and the Jaipur trip. Screenplay remained spot on throughout the episode. Acting honours are shared by Sanaya and Ashish for turning in heart-warming performances. 👏👏👏 to the cast and crew for brightening up our Monday with an episode that calls for repeated viewing.
After the precap, tomorrow can't come soon enough!! 😆

Sabs ... Visiting after a long time ... Your writing ... Really don't need to see anything ... It is so intricately detailed. The bathroom scene was especially well expressed ... 😃 Wonder why??? 😆
But my fav part ... Loved the blue bold ... Something so endearing, so charming about a young girls discovery ... To see life though a fresh set of eyes ... Eyes that are not jaded ... Her curious, tentative, explorative steps of into this foreign land, with of course her new hubby ... It doesn't matter if it is a few hundred miles from where she lives ... The joy of simple pleasures ... That should make for some really great viewing ... Chocolate ... Spilled fizzy drink ... Even a freshly showed man ... Strange dark room ... Worried world savy groom ... Hopefully a resourceful bride ... Tailor made romance ... Enjoy your show Sabs ... 😛

I liked the fact that Rudra was more or less given an order by VK singh to bring Paro to Jaipur. He would have, in his customary Jallad manner. However, the revealment of her suffering and Kakisas hand in the plan made him realize that a) she would be physically indeed be in danger if he left her alone and B) a thought that he refused to acknowledge to himself, but changed his behaviour from ultra rude to gruff (think icecream melting in the sun!) ... The thought, more of a feeling, of attachment, of am understanding, as Damayanti sa said of the depth of Paros feeling for him. And he changed his behaviour.

I loved the military flavour he put into his responses to her... Showed her stuff in the hotel room gruffly, but not offensively. And his khoon ka jalaana dialogue showed to Paro most effectively that the Rakshak part of him was well and truly entrenched. That spark is enough to refuel our lovely Paro.

Paro was delightful! Cute to the core, not over the top at all. Sanayas comic timing, her expressions and her reactions are formidable. And that bathrobe clad streaking across the hotel lobby is going to become a classic, baisas!

Tvbug, you give us such utterly lovely rreading material!

Thank you, Oldestfan. 😃 Delighted that you liked my writing. Always a pleasure to increase yours with my words.
You make some great points:
@ Rudra's change of heart: I like your slant on it - protection and guilt yes, but guilt for what? For his loss of temper and vile accusations yes, but also because of his realisation of how much she cares for him and has suffered for him.
@ khoon ka jalaana dialogue refuelled Paro: Well it certainly told her he cared. That's what I like about Rudra he may deny but isn't sophisticated about it. Very soon Paro will see through a lot of his bluster.
@ Sanaya's comic timing: Absolutely agreed! It's so easy to go OTT and spoil the fun. But no false notes from Sanaya. She was spot-on throughout! And yes the bathrobe hug deserves a place all its own in the honours list!! 😃

Thank you Kaykay. 😊 Delighted that you enjoyed my take. It was indeed a lovely, feel-good episode. And Rudra's reaction, his quick conclusion about Kakisa being the villain of the piece and going to read her the riot act, and then the invitation to Jaipur - everything was worth savouring. One of the good ones!!

Poona!! 🤗 I know you've been busy, so thank you for dropping in and for your wonderful comment!
@ Bold: How beautifully you've given us the essence of the charm - the innocent and the jade. And the world through her wonder-struck eyes. What a delicious contrast indeed! That and the fact that although he has seen it all he doesn't try to spoil it for her, and that while he is so much more experienced in the matters l'amour he doesn't try his luck with her/force/seduce her when she is so vulnerable and totally dependent on him. There's a sense of a force tightly leashed, although the starting to slip the leash already. Waiting for it all to unravel - I believe that's on the cards tonight!! 😃

Sabs...wonderful words as usual! Bringing out what went on in such beautiful expressions...
I was pretty impressed with Rudra's diagnosis of the whole chaal by Kaakisa in a controlled manner...he guessed that it was more than the choodees that she was talking about...the hurt when he said he wouldnt take her to Jaipur, and something else...which he was intent on finding out and he did! She was also adamant about not spilling the beans or venting her frustration, but his concern melted her resolve!

Rudra was very unsure about Jaipur...Damayanti-sa's words had impacted him, then there was added pressure from Mr. And Mrs, Singh, so Kaki-sa scare and the protector thing was the catalyst and excuse for him to pack her bags along with his!

There is nothing more to say about Sanaya anymore today...she was cuteness personified. The strong willed girl had let go all her inhibitions in the glory of her love's recognition and acceptance atleast to the extent of being allowed to accompany him as WIFE officically. He has decided to to be nice for a change and without trying to sound negative, that scares me...there is always a dark shadow looming around when he behaves like this!!

Now, waiting for the big hug...and the fact that he did hold her instead of dragging her in or shouting at her for running outside was what gave me relief more than pleasure! So off to blissful dreams...until they last!

I'm on my phone so I cannot quote you.

When Rudra asks Paro if he was the one who hurt her I am taken back to the time when he tells her he knows the exact measurement of her wrists and she shows him the bruises on them. This time he immediately jumped to the conclusion that he'd hurt her and he didn't believe her when she denied it. Does he believe that she loves him so much that she'd lie? Maybe he knows that if she thought it would spare his feelings she would go that far.

Love your take on a towel clad Rudra and Paro's reaction to it (Side note: Was it just me or were we allowed a glimlse of black shorts through the steam covered glass? 😆 Maybe I should go watch it again just to be sure 😳)

It was endearing to watch Paro hide the piece of paper that had their names written on it. Perhaps her only momento of their togetherness since they hadn't even had wedding cards made.

Lovely post.
Thank You! 😳

Sabs!!!! You are a die-hard romantic!! Aren't you?!!! Your writing is as romantic as the episode was!!! Kudos to you girl!! Love ya lots!! 🤗

The episode! Hmmm... what do I say?! No words can describe the emotions that I felt while watching it!! In one of my previous posts, don't remember which one, I had said that Rudra is going to play out the 8 vows but in REVERSE!!! Well, the journey in the reverse gear has begun!! Rudra's change of heart or change in behavior wasn't sudden! He was always possessive and caring about Paro. He just never admitted it to himself or her!! But all the care in the world for Paro has always been there! That is what even Paro knows and so she understands him as he is!! She knows real Rudra! In this Jaipur trip I so wish Paro brings out the best in Rudra and introduces this real Rudra to himself!! He is already being aware of many things now that he is in the close proximity of Paro!! Wonder when will that control slip!!

The scenes in the bedroom were cute!! Liked it so much when Rudra was non-judgmental and allowed Paro to enjoy things on her own!! Paro had a wonderful time!! She has collected sweet memories for lifetime!! Her real happiness was not in the material things! They were just means! Her real pleasure and happiness was in Rudra taking her with him as his wife and giving her a lifetime of treasure! Notice how she lovingly picked up the card on the bouquet with their names written on it and put it in the bag as a souvenir!! That is her real treasure trove! I immensely liked the fact that Rudra was never once rude with her! He may not have smiled but he didn't demean her! He truly cares from the bottom of his heart and his problem is that he is unable to express his feelings to anybody not just Paro!! He couldn't react or express to Mrs. Singh asking him about the arrangements in the room! Loved Paro's wifely touch when she inquired whether he had purchased any gift for Mr. & Mrs. Sigh for their wedding anniversary!! She is even ready to make something out of the colored threads and needle that she found in the room! Let's see what talented Mrs. Rudra comes up with as a gift for the Singhs! We are in for a lovely ride for sure!!!

Ashish and Sanaya were brilliant! Sanaya in particular! Her epic Khushi Kumari Gupta was not to be seen in Paro's guise and that was a huge success as far as Sanaya portraying Paro is concerned!! Had she aped any of Khushi's stunts here I would have been majorly put off Paro's character permanently just when I had started liking her! But Sanaya's restrained performance and just the right kind of fun was a delight to watch!! I am awaiting the moment when both Paro and Rudra will be more aware of each other as husband and wife in the true sense. Jaipur trip is the only time when they will get a chance to come closer otherwise once they are back in the haveli, the plotting, planning, and scheming of Kakisa would spoil all the fun for them. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Eagerly awaiting tonight's episode!!
