Dear friends,
my desire of having a rose tinted love story died an early death on the previous thread, courtesy to a certain suspended Major Rudra pratap Ranawat and I did shed a tear or two bemoaning the loss. But there it ends. Now armed with refueled effervescence, courage and witty humour I am ready to face the latest variety of (supposed)hate marriage that Rangrasiya presents to us.I will raise my lovely arched brows when a drunken banna will throw tantrums, tut tut when he will pretend to be a big bad monster while being a cuddly bear all along, giggle when an exasperated paro, fed up with his acting sessions will throw some water to bring him back to senses. and most importantly I shall patiently wait for that day when each of the despicable 8 vows of inflicting pain and misery to Paro will be happily replaced with 100 vows of love, faithfulness and bliss ...And I know you r waiting too !
So, on this new thread, let us suspend our Rationality, logicality, feminist streaks, urban thought process let the creativity of the writers sway and hypnotize us and carry us to an imaginary world of of a different era . let the characters of this romantic play, mesmerize us ,intrigue us,plague us, as they truly are,not as we wish them to be.they do not necessarily have to mold themselves according to our expectations.

And v v importantly, Pursuit thread is a strictly non-basherz zone. so if you are frustrated with the portrayal of Rudra, Parvati or simply annoyed with the CVS or storyline, I am very sorry to say, this is not the right thread and I hav to show you the exit door ! Please dont force me to be impolite. I am usually very very sweet and amiable ! am I not, friends?

And with this note, I welcome you to the latest Pursuit thread !! Drinks are ready !! just run to get it !

Cheers !
Shreya RC 😃

An earnest request to you all. gossip, poke, wink, but subtly and please avoid making direct references to any actor, director, producer or production house,TRP Issues or any post or topic that is / was posted on other threads. this I will not allow ! we are here to pursue relief from ongoing tension, not to submerge ourselves into controversies.whatever you want to say, write under veiled inferences. do not attack any member personally on this thread.Enjoy yourself but please dont offend others.

at last your house warming gift is ready !
presenting

April 9th & 10th marked the marriage of Paro-Rudra. Two intense episodes that a true Rangrasiyan can ever forget! The story, the act, the vows left us spellbound. The marriage is done. Let Rudra call it a JUGAD. Let him Vow that he will never be her's. The fact remains that Paro is now Sreemathi Rudra Pradap Ranawath. The chotti Bahu of the haweli, the DIL of the rightful owner of the haweli. Infact next Takurayan in making.

To the first night of their journey together, Rudra brings distortion, mockery, restlesness ( symbolised by alcohol) where as Paro walks in with Purity, eternal life, fertility & abundance ( symbolised by Milk).

The game of wills & wits begin. Where is this journey heading to? Which Vow will be let go first & how will Paro win Rudra? Your guess is as good as mine.

One thing we all can look forward to is an intense, passionate, romantic story of Rudra-Paro, revealed to us bit by bit, day after day, for unforeseeable future.

Thank you Shreya, for the pursuit thread, where we can get together and ponder on the days episode. Share our happiness and take out our frustration.

Welcoming you all with the image of the 8th VOW. The conflict of mind v heart is very beautifully captured here. Enjoy! Let the fun begin

The famous 8 vows custom made for his very own Paro by Rudra Pradap Ranawat.. As I understood is as such,
1) you will not expect anything in return for the blind love of yours.
2) I shall never trust you, just as thou never trusted me
3) I will never fall prey to your beauty
4) like my pleas were unheard, I will for your life, shut out yours
5) Our relationship will be the worse than the worst nightmare you ever had
6) I will match your stubbornness with mine.
7) You will never find happiness with me and I will keep happiness away from you.
8) I shall never be yours.

Pri, the floor is all yours. Hit us with the 8 vows and its implication .. Rudra style.. 😉..

Thanks indeed for the thread Shre and that lovely gif and welcome note Radz😊.
The marriage we witnessed was indeed as Rudra termed it a jugaad marriage!

Nothing was as it usually is...no pandit...havan kund was improvised from a masala vessel and clothes and wood from a broken chair...although he did pour ghee that he took from the pooja ghar and he lit the fire from the holy lamp as well!
The mangalsutra was the raksha dhaga reinforcing that Rudra whatever he may say will always be Paros saviour!
Only the sindoor he filled in her maang was the real thing...claiming her as his and making her his wife!

Now coming to the most important jugaad of the marriage...the vows...eight in number that Rudra took...none of them the usual vows that bind a couple in matrimony..but radically opposite!

When we see the vows he took they are a reflection of the fears he harbours towards commitment In general and the misconceptions he has towards Paro!
Let's try to see why he took each of these vows in particular...where these stem from..and since these are jugaad vows let's also see how they can be broken as against actual vows which would be fulfilled!

1. You will never ask me for anything in return for your blind love.

Rudra has very low self esteem and does not believe he has anything to offer in a relationship especially one with a girl like Paro who will give her all to it! He fears he will in no way match up to her!
His job is the only thing that makes him feel cherished and wanted. This belief stems from the fact that his mother abandoned him so he feels there must have been something unworthy about him!

Having said this he proceeded to give her the status of his wife and called her Shrimati Rudra pratap Ranawat...so his action directly belied his words here!

2. Just as you never trusted me you will never ask for my trust

This one is the product of his hurt feelings from the time when Paro trusted Tejawat to the point of attacking Rudra and going away with him! He believed she would not do that and place her trust in him but she did not..however once she learned the truth she did come back but his hurt remains! This vow is to remind him that she did not trust him at one time and convince himself that he must not trust her so that he is not betrayed!

This is a tough vow for Paro as his trust issues run deep...starting with his mother and now her...but she has shown the patience and resolve needed to convince him so with time she will make sure he trusts her and the fact that she trusts him!

3. Your beauty will never attract me to you

This one is a direct result of what Dilsher drilled into him from an impressionable age...that beautiful women never belong...to anyone ..be it their husbands or their families or their children. And Paro is beautiful...Rudra has said it a great number of times...so he does not want to form an attachment with her lest she betray him like his mother and he has to face that pain again!

He is already attracted to her and denying it to himself and the world..now that he is married to her and she is committed to staying with him always he will slowly be convinced that not all women even the beautiful ones are bound to betray!

4. Just as no one listened to me when I lost my respect and my soul was shrieking you will shriek your entire life and I will not listen.

Rudra felt really alone when he was suspended and stripped of all that he was proud of because of a distorted version of the truth that got published in the paper...he believes that Paro is responsible for his condition as her actions were what led to the article.Nothing he said could convince his seniors of his non culpability in the issue so he is bitter and wants his revenge from the one he considers responsible...!

Here it must be said that once he knows who was responsible for the article he should realise that Paros actions were naive and were taken advantage of by his own brother who wanted his pound of flesh from Rudra!

And Paro has just had to take his name for him to appear as her saviour so this is a vow he is going to find difficult to stick to...the one he is likely to break first!

5. The nature of our relationship will be worse than your worst nightmares.

This is to scare her and part of his need to avenge himself...shattering her rose tinted views about love and marriage! He believes she was the one responsible for the most precious thing in his life being taken away so he will take away her dreams and replace them with scary nightmares!

Considering both have managed to calm the other one down during their nightmares this one will be literally tough for Rudra to fulfil!

6. I will answer your stubbornness with my stubbornness.

These two have always challenged each other so this one is a no brainer. And it was Paros zid that they are meant to be together that Rudra could not relate to and that paved the way for this entire situation. So he tells her that he can be as stubborn or more...!

This should be an interesting battle of his wills versus her conviction!

7. I will make sure there is no happiness in your life.

This one is of course because he believes she has made him unhappy from the time she entered his life. He quoted various instances from his POV to illustrate this.

Staying together should change his perception that Paro is bad luck for him! She is meant to and will fill his life with happiness as he has never known! And he will gradually learn to reciprocate and make her happy so this vow being broken is a matter of time!

8. I will never be yours.

A lot has been said about this vow and the fact that he held her closer than ever when taking it! Ths is more a resolve to himself than her...she wanted him to accept her and marry her and make her his...so he turns it around and says as a special vow that he will never ever belong to her or be hers..basically in a attempt to make her realise that she got what she wanted but the most important ingredients will always be missing and she has no choice but to bear it!

The fact he held her close is already a step towards weakening this one...he is in a really confused state and his actions don't match his words when it comes to Paro however he is very stubborn so he may continue saying this while behaving in a contradictory manner!

So...there we have it...the eight vows of Rudra...that form the base of this marriage orchestrated by him!

What do you all think..how will each of the vows he took be broken ?? Do tell!

The Vows:

First Vow: Pehla phera! Pehla vachan, Ki tere andhe pyar ke badle, tu mujhse kabhi kuch nahi chahegi.

Second Vow: Doosra vachan! Jaise tune kabhi mujhpe vishwas nahi kiya na, vaise hi tu... tu kabhi mujhse mera vishwas nahi payegi.

Third Vow: Teesra Vachan! Tere iss roop... yeh teri is khoobsoorti ke jaal se main hamesha door rahunga.

Fourth Vow: Cahutha Phera! Chautha Vachan! Jis tarah mera samman cheena ja raha tha, meri aatma cheekh rahi thi, pukar rahi thi, lekin kisi ne meri cheekhe nahi suni, waise hi zindagi bhar tu cheekhegi lekin.. Lekin teri pukar nahi sununga main.

Fifth Vow: Panchva vachan! Hamara saath Paro, aisa hoga jaisa tune kabhi apne daravne sapne mein bhi nahi socha hoga.

Also a hidden Ninth Vow: Sober or inebriated, i will never drop you😆
