Rudra's eyes, heart and every nerve in his body was giving away. But his resolve was not. He knew what he was seeing in Paro's eyes, her words but he didn't want to know it. He just wanted to see how far she would go for him and if that 'far' could take Paro away from him. He had brought Sumer's proposal for Paro but he couldn't let Sumer touch Paro. He staggered, his knees went wobbly and in a weak moment he told her that he knew she won't marry Sumer, she won't marry anyone else.
In an equally weaker moment, he gathered her in his hands and reminded himself that she she was a beautiful woman and it was wrong for him to love her. When Paro confronted him, he looked for corners to hide in the haweli. He composed himself to reinforce his pretentious ruthlessness and returned to her to gift her the wedding dress that he had kept in his almirah. When Paro confronted him again, Rudra staggered again and repeated his inner voice to her - Prove it to me that how far you can go for me, oops, my forgiveness and please pay attention to option 2 only - Don't marry Sumer and leave my haweli because i cannot afford to fall in love with you...
And among all that I have mentioned above, the only TRUE moment was Rudra's moment of weakness and confession when he told Paro that he knew she will not marry Sumer , she will not marry anyone even if that means leaving the haweli with or without his forgiveness.
Hmm. Yesterday, we were all making posts about Paro being put through a test. Today, the writers make you realize that the dilemma, the pain, the angst , the frustration is sometimes EQUAL for the examiner as well. Paro could see how difficult it was for Rudra to take Paro's name in the same breath with another man. She saw he was scared to attach himself to her when he voiced his fear of falling in love with her internal and external beauty. Paro knew this is not what Rudra wants and she kept questioning him - "Santosh milegaa aapko?" ...Paro got the truth from him after enough cross questioning - He just wanted her to leave him , he just wanted her to go away because she is making pathways into him that he cannot handle. She saw it in his eyes, his face , his vulnerable voice when he told her that he knew she will not marry anyone.
On the other lovely hand is Paro. Transparent. Virginal. White. Total baarish ka paani and how. She is in love with Rudra but she cannot fathom this feeling like a woman. She can go to any lengths for Rudra but she cannot reason with herself that why she wants to do that. Even while Rudra has turned on his ruthless side, Paro is being patient, calm and water-like , more concerned about her own feelings than realizing the tight spot where Rudra has put her. The girl is in a transit zone of emotions and she is so white that the darkness of her situation and complexity of Rudra's psycho-emotional state is not hitting her. You can't even say she will realize anytime soon that she 'LOVES' Rudra. The childwoman that she is, she will only think that its only Rudra's right to be with Paro, Why make it so complicated? Isn't that the rule of soulmates in the universe's codebook? ...
We had said it yesterday that Rudra has figured out Paro's feelings and that is why he was so sure in that weak moment that Paro will not marry Sumer, That is why he knew he can stretch her emotions to the limit using his name and the forgiveness packaging, That is why he weakly emphasizes that beautiful women are nobody's own. His heart has understood that Paro has become his and that is why he wants her to get out of the haweli at any cost. Hopefully, without marrying any other man or being with any other man.
A complicated gamut of emotions for Rudra. And just a wait of heartwave flashlight for Paro.
The precap may make you want to pull your hair out. You may talk about Paro embarrassing Rudra or Paro having no self respect. But from where am seeing, i am only seeing a soul-virgin falling in love and seeing it as the only way love functions by the law of universe. White love. Maano ya na bhi maano... DEEWAANGI ise hi kehte hainn. Chaahne waale ko sirf chaahat dikhaayi detti hai , baaki ka furniture toh frame mein aata bhi nahin hai. Like Katrina said in ETT - " Jis mohabbat mein deewaangi na ho , wo mohabbat nahiin."
And who says pursuit, passion , proposal are territories of men? A woman can fall in love first and she can bare her soul first... and its something beautiful and pristine. That is the honesty of heart and soul , way beyond he vices of ego, arrogance, pride, fears and insecurities. You love because you love. Its that simple for a simple heart and a clean soul.
P.S- Sumer had the best dialogues today. I was on the floor with laughter. 😆
