Looks like I am late today, vicky !
accha do u think in fear of losing his position from paro's good book, rudra becomes deliberately offensive towards Laila when she tries to open the bag of their 8yrs old dirty bedroom secret ? well, according to the story, rudra is not even in paro's good book.she calls her stone hearted, murderer, jallad whatnot but maybe he, in some unknown corner of his mind,he rekindles hopes that oneday when paro will know the complete truth, these adjectives will be withdrawn with wholehearted apology and sheer embarrassment . but knowing Paro, he grasps the bitter truth that she is a woman of strict morality and virtue and if this lapse from his side is unveiled to her, he will fall in her eyes, perhaps forever !
A great post. Thank you.
My fave scene of the day was the one before the Haldi began... when his kurta was stuck in the nail. It was a small thing, a small irritant... Rudra would have ripped it out. This caught Paro's attention... and she immediately went to help him out. It had so much domesticity... and it came naturally to Paro. Watching Rudra withdraw his hand, made me realise... he was allowing Paro to take care of him... I can so see him being spoilt silly by Paro in the future.
Among all the shades of Rudra, his Rudra Dev' persona is the most endearing. The one he saves for his father and Paro. The slightly annoyed man, who just has to put up with the madness of his family, i.e his father and paro. So enjoyed his brief banter with his father. Dilsher, Rudra and Paro will make a complete and a happy family, I don't want Maya into this.
Then the Laila fiasco... watching him work into frenzy, worried sick over paro is always a delight to watch. The intimacy in that scene just showed how far Rudra-Paro have come... it was not romantic/sensuous... it was comfort, the trust. The fact that Paro allowed him that closeness... spoke for itself. She could have washed her face, but she allowed him... and when she looked at him, she acknowledged the awareness of their state and she didn't stop him. That scene was beautiful. It was a sore point that Laila witnessed it! And she literally pulled out a dragger! There would be no harm on Paro when Rudra was around, but it felt great when she called Rudra to defend her... and there he was. It was heartening to see him want to protect Paro's innocence... Paro really had no clue of the relationship between Rudra-Laila even though it was so blatant. It is never going to be pleasant when Paro gets to know of it... but hopefully she will remember this day. I wonder if she will question Rudra about that... and wonder how much Rudra will tell... will he atlelast acknowledge she has a right to ask... if not as his fiance, atleast as a victim of such dangerous hatred.
Another sight that melted my heart was watching him wrap her up before sending her away... he even walked her in with instructions as to where she was to go.
So he has the love word thrown at him... with so much conviction... he just might see it himself. There is so much already on his head.. he could do without this at the moment.
Hats off to the Sanaya and Ashish for pulling off the scene...

Yes...this point rankled with me too...suddenly Rudra became hypocritical in stopping Laila from mentioning what he had with her exactly...it was obviously to save that fact from coming out in front of Paro but to tell Laila to be respectful in front of Paro...just as she was about to reveal that he had a physical relation with her...isn't that like absolving him of those 8 years because he met Paro. This one point I don't get and didn't like...however Laila was that's how she was from when he knew her...this is not about him loving Laila back...but him chastising Laila in front of Paro to keep his slate clean...that's kind of out of sync with his character!Even the other day when we spoke of Laila's feelings etc...I mentioned he dealt with her questions very sensitively when he saw her tears...yet today he acted like it was something dirty and to be hidden just because he has moved on...and found true love!I know WHY he did it but didn't find it very appealing! Like the man can just forget what part he played in that relation for 8 years and move on is fine because he didn't commit to her but that ...she is better than the sort who has to hear such things from you...well then he is as bad as the woman he is talking to and not the woman he is defending right!
okay..I m new to RR..so can you pls clarify what you mean the last time he dealt with laila's questions? Has this confrontation happened before? Bcoz today he reacted as if it's the first time..I m confused!
