Hi Eve...Wonderful post dear...but I am sorry I don't agree. He is an abuser and has been from the time of the interrogation...it eases sometimes and erupts back...it's manipulation at its best..the worst fact is that he has increased his physical proximity with her which is considered molestation and to a degree of sexual harassment and I have no qualms in admitting that I truly hate Rudra's character. He not only needs to be court marshaled but charged with abusing a suspect...I did write a letter to the channel yesterday and have asked them about the glorification of abuse...I also asked them about the military laws of BSF which Mr Tiwari has so aptly admitted in portraying as BSD...how far will an officer go get coerce information/ submission from a helpless suspect or witness? Is raping a woman suspect acceptable as a form of interrogation or gathering information? In my profession that is what Rudra is being doing... Psychologically raping her little by little until she completely breaks down...and all in the name of patriotism/border security. I hope I get the answers soon.

What is abuse? Psychological abuse

Any act, including confinement, isolation, verbal assault, humiliation, intimidation, infantilization, or any other treatment which may diminish the sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth.

This is sometimes called emotional abuse. Some researchers refer to it by formal terms such as "chronic verbal aggression".

Psychological abuse can make the person feel "less of a person". It diminishes the person's sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth. Abused people often find that psychological or emotional abuse is the most hurtful form of abuse.

Psychological abuse may make a person fearful or cause the person mental anguish.

This is what abuse is in psychological terms.

Has Rudra being doing this to Paro...Yes, he is. Is he an abuser ? Yes, he is.

You and I come a long way Eve...in the past we have not always agreed but have always had mutual respect and admiration...that will never change for me😊...but I am afraid I cannot agree with you on this. I have seen what abused is too close to not recognize it. You know I am a romantic at heart and have waited for their lovestory even after all the horrific interrogation...but I am afraid I can't accept him as Paro's better half anymore. This was suppose to be a love story and I never had a problem with pain or separation in a lovestory as you have aptly mentioned ...but this is not the case here...it's abuse and I have zero tolerance for that.

Rudra was abandoned by his mother...yes, he had a difficult childhood and that is extremely unfortunate...but there are thousands of children in the world growing up without parents...without a steady home but does that give them the right to be selfish and hurt others...No. It does not absolve him of his behavior towards Paro.

Hey Rup...my post would have been incomplete without comments from you. You and me share that kind of an equation where we agree to disagree yet agree in our disagreements (OK even I didn't understand that 😆)
Lets just say that we are looking at the same view but from different windows. We just have different perspectives. For you the truth is different for me the reality differs. Rudra for you is an abuser, for me a protector. Paro for u is a victim, for me the female part of this love story.
I know your sensitivities and have know them for a while now, so will accept them the way they are. And respect them too. I have always said it and will say it one more time...its a fictional show at the end of the day. A figment of someone's imagination is not worth losing good friends. Its sole purpose is to entertain...period.

U r a fantastic writer! U have such an amazing way with words! if u r not into writing, u definitely should take it up professionally. I am not very good with words but enjoy reading your posts & have read all of them! I read a lot of Rudra bashing posts yesterday & kept wondering if I was the only one who was looking at things the wrong way? cos i could always see how decent & good a human being he was!He could have done any number of things as she was at his mercy. But never did he cross that line of decency. Even in past 2-3 episodes I could feel it, so palpably, his need for her to not be hurt & burdened by the feeling of guilt ,when she realizes later on, that she has all along been standing on the wrong side of the fence! One could feel his frustration at her for not being able to see what he thought was clear as the day!
You've put it all down so well! Am just so glad some others also can see what i can!

Nice topic, beautifully written. To me Rudra is Paro's protector and can't see her hurt and Paro insticntively accepts him as her protector and trusts him too. But both all strong willed and will go any lengths for what they feel is right.

Eve...what a beautiful take on the show and a balanced view. Like you mentioned, it is your perspective on how you would like to look at an action. When we take an action stand alone and form an opinion, it will certainly be biased.
Specially liked 'While some prefer to see the pain he unintentionally caused to her hands, some choose to see the life of hell he saved her from. He for some is a sexual abuser, for me, I am just glad that in spite of all the powers the man had to ruin her life, he does not touch her at inappropriate places, or sexually molest or rape her and never will. While some concentrate on Paro's helplessness, some end up counting the multiple ways the man has helped and cared for his enemy, from stabs, to slaps, from hot packs, to ointments. '

I wonder how the so called women torch bearers conveniently forgot how he took care of her all this time without laying a finger on her with the wrong intention. Again the glass half empty outlook.
