heyi think we are confusing arranged marriages and forced marriages , i realize khat panchayat and caste based wedding are still a reality , but what you mentioned is arranged marriages , where the family ensures the guy is right or the girl is right , not a fan myself but it is in no case similar to what is shown in the show , where a girl is kept captive and given a option to either sign something she believes is false or live with a man who she believes is her husband's killerhere she knows it is wrong ,in the former the parents or the people involved in the 'forcing' ensure it is right for the child (most cases) a more cultural factoras i mentioned not a fan myself but i dont think it is even comparable to this story
To sum it up (Not taking any sides)- I think what he did was wrong but I also think she can stop it if she wants to...

I am going to make an incendiary statement here. so step outside the realm of drama and think in real life terms.
What Rudra is doing to Paro is called sexual harassment.
Unwanted sexual advances, not reciprocated, encouraged or liked by the recipient, who is in a weaker position in the power equation.
We know Rudra is the next best thing to happen to Paro, but Paro does not know that. To be in a strange house, with strange people and forced to go into an unwanted marriage and deal with sexually charged advances of a overwhelming man. it has to wreak havoc on a supposedly 21ish year old girl.
Ofc, we don't want to call it that because then it breaks our nice little romantic bubble. Time and again we romanticize and justify unwanted male attention as a prerequisite to love story (movie RRajkumar for instance).
Had Rudra been a bald, ugly man, none of this would have been very appealing to any of us
Your post is BANG ON SJ.
There is nothing appropriate about sexual intimidation or sexual harassment. It is not, never was, and will never be anywhere close to romantic...and I for one don't enjoy any scenes like that...irrespective of how attractive looking either one of them is...or how sensually the scenes is shot for a viewer ... as I already wrote in my post, as well.
While it is true that not everything that the characters do will be appropriate ...They should be careful not to offend the viewer's sensibilities in such a way that turns people off. One way to move, where the character has to do something inappropriate for the story is to make the character aware that what they are doing is inappropriate and not be so blase about it...

I don't think we need to analyze and read between the lines. If we start analyzing every single move made by the characters it will be hard to make serials or movies. We are not expecting any social reformaties watching this serial. We want to entertain ourselves watching shows that have potential. When we know the lead role intentions is just to intimidate to achieve his moto is to make her sign papers and avoid marriage, we just have to see how it goes.

I couldn't agree more, lets leave it as entertainment and draw no conclusions or lessons for real life. However, viewers do like to talk about the show, some via hilarious posts, some via fanfictions, some via analytical discussions and some via fangirling.all part of forum ecosystem.

I agree, she needs to explicitly ask him to stop sexual advances. On the flip side though, she is supposedly a naive, gullible and simple girl who has barely seen any world, and has hardly any exposure to male company. Its legitimate that she is confused about appropriate reactions. However, that theory is also debunked because at other times, she shows iron resolve and will power to fight a much more powerful man like Rudra. All in all, Paro's character is a highly unspecific, and contradictory narrative. I don't think the makers have thought through her character beyond trying to set the stage for forced physical proximity between the leads and pass it off as hot romance. This is hardly new, all "intense" love stories follow the same formula.
