Paros angst and anger over Rudra's declaration was countered by his own breakdown in front of her!

She has the upper hand because the marriage is the only threat he has...if she calls his bluff what will he do then...and she does seemingly...calmly...quietly!

And he is already sharing his pain with her...so maybe some understanding if each other is on the way too!

Sumer has kicked off the other angle of the story...till that merges with the haveli scene Paro and Rudra interactions will be good to watch!

Balanced episode ... good episode. Both sides shown .. both are right in their place, and yet both are wrong about each other ... they have a long way to go.
What I found interesting is that slowly Rudra's layers are all being revealed to Paro ... she knows his past in detail now, and today he bared his soul to her ... while her character had already started peeling off in front of him ... in the middle of hate, they are getting to know each other and also get familiar ... he holds her hand without a second thought, and she lets him ... she holds his collar and she actually gets away with it. 😛

Marriage was his last throw of the dice ... and she's calling him on it ... can't wait to see how this will go. Good that we have the Thakur/thakurain's men entering the picture ... that will give the story another push forward.

Well written post! Liked your analysis of the episode. 👏
It's a catch 22, not just for Paro but for Rudra too...he doesn't want to marry her any more than she does. Who will back down? Today we saw a feisty Paro, a girl who has not had time to grieve for her first husband whom she thinks was innocent, put into a situation that opens up her mental wounds...the thought of the pheras/ mangalsutra/ the very idea of marriage again must be so traumatic for her. So she did what anyone would, she fought.
And Rudra, he is thinking of his fallen soldiers, losing the job that was everything for him, so he pushes too, pressurises her into giving him the evidence he sorely needs. I loved the episode, it was just too good today!😊

Lovely take Diya and I enjoyed the episode. Whenever we get a substantial scene of Rudra and Parvati together the episode becomes better than usual.

We are at an interesting place in the story, a dramatic highpoint, with both Rudra and Paro fighting for their honour. Each has their version of truth and both are loyal to their beliefs. Never expected Rudra to bear his pain in front of Paro and it had quite an impact on Paro, slowly she getting to see the deep wounds.

Paro too is distraught, she would rather die than sell her soul to the devil. Liked her dialogue about not wanting to sign a false testimony, it is NOT ONLY blindly protecting loved ones BUT ALSO refusing to do what is wrong.

Sanaya and Ashish were fabulous.

Mohini is relentless in her mission. Wish Aman had such a lucky break as Sumer in getting evidence. Would really like to see Thakur back on screen.

Rudra realizes threat of life means nothing to Paro as compared to marrying him, confirmed by Paro's words, have a feeling we will revisit this again in future in a different context.

Thanks, U ... and very true ... when an episode is well balanced between Rudra and Paro, it is always good. Glad we got both sides today ... they are at an impasse, with neither one willing to back down, both are convinced they are right ... what's more, they are both fighting for what they believe is right ... he for the honor of his dead soldiers, and she refusing to do what is wrong.

@red ... hmm, you could be right ... or will that change? Waiting for things to unfold further ... now that the search party has entered the scene.

Great post, Diya. You've said it all, ab main kya boloon?
Dialogue of the day- Rudra Pratap Ranawat, aap ko kaisi patni chahiye?
Maasi/Kaaki/ Dame Evil Spice- yes, he is your nephew. So remember that before playing mind games with him in the future, OK?
And what a premonition for her, her laadla lal told her that one day this pride and overconfidence would get her in great trouble. I see a foreshadowing of things to come . After all, he is her pride and joy and she's over confident of her power over him. And he is selling her house without her knowledge.
But Sumer donning the role of Devdas was really funny to me. It's irking him so much that Paro is marrying Rudra. She should marry him instead, he even has flowery shirts to accommodate the titli.

episode was nothing to write home about . the quiksilver mode of the bg music really grated on my nerves. also the sharukh-like breakdown of ashish. almost transported me to kal ho na ho -movie feel.

is rudy such a pansy hearted jallad that he cries everytime he gets upset? yes, like you said, his abandonement -wound is being broken open and washed with antiseptic.. it does burn. I accept that. the cover of his mother's palm was lifted from hi s head then, the cover of the BSD's hat is being lifted now.. but really, is his mental state so fragile that he breaks down in front of his captive? (or is it that like i said before, is paro that single person that bypasses rudra's defenses, simply because he has janam janam ka connection with her?)

really liked parvati today. sanaya has added another feather in her crown.

Very balanced episode today ... the highlight was the PaRud scene ... she gets more than a glimpse into the man ... and Rudra doesn't mind breaking down and crying in front of her. He started off talking about his soldiers, but then broke down to describe how it would affect HIM too ... on a very personal level.

Paro's dilemma is still so difficult ... while she can sympathise now with Rudra's demand ... but how can she do something wrong? She can't sign a false statement ... she is too honorable.

Both are right in their place ... and both are wrong. What a situation to be in.

Rudra now faces loses everything he holds dear, everything that holds him together ... Paro just went through the exact same situation a few days back. She found the strength to pull herself together ... but how will he?

Was that the Thakurain's man? Need to re-watch that episode to check. Even more interesting ... will the thakurian enter the scene now?

The show is picking up again ... even Masala kaaki was tolerable 😛

Masala Kaki's defeated/ bowled out face is something worth watching.. But she is active as usual.

I think that man was appointed by thakurain when Thakur's man told him to leave. If Thakurain gets hold o Paro before Thakur, there might be some rift emerging between them.

Amazingly written take Diya, you always capture the essence of the episode perfectly...even one who doesn't watch the show would be able to follow your posts easily. I agree with everything you said of course hehe.
Finally after many days I felt like commenting on the forum today because I really liked the episode a lot. Ashish and Sanaya were both on fire. I have to especially mention Sanaya because she had the tougher job of portraying her emotions with her expressions...and she nailed it...as a fan of hers, I am really proud of what she's doing on this show.
