Rudra ... caught between a court martial or marriage ... oops, for him, the way things are going, it will be court martial and marriage ... poor guy loses on both fronts. A court martial he doesn't want ... and a marriage he wants even less.
Rudra banna, you should have thought twice ... no, a hundred times ... before engaging in a game of bluff, or blackmailing a woman far stronger than you. And I'm not talking about Mohini here.

Paro ... betraying the memory of her dead husband, or betraying her village, consigning her father figure, her mother figure, and her adopted mother to destruction, for a crime she does not believe they committed.
Maybe she decided that respecting the ephemeral memory of a husband who was that for barely a few hours was less important than fighting for the safety of a living family, who has looked after her all her orphaned life.
Maybe, despite repeatedly calling him a jallad, she does see the signs of some goodness in him ... in the way he stood up for her against his aunt, the way he has behaved ever since she came back, with utmost decency. And in the way he described the dead soldiers ... and his own trauma.
And maybe she's just calling his bluff ... because she knows he wants this marriage even less than she does. 😛

The episode

Mohini kaaki is down but not out ... she may have lost a battle, but the war isn't over yet. And she doesn't believe the story of any engagement or fiancee ... so Sumer has to continue the investigations ... most unwillingly.

Paro-Rudra face off ... Paro may call him a jallad, but she is not afraid of him ... not a bit. She wants answers, and she wants them now.
And she gets them ... the reason why Rudra is so desperate for her to bear witness ... to restore honour to his dead soldiers ... and to save his uniform, the only thing he lives for, the only thing which makes life worth living, after the betrayal of his mother.
Loved the fierce, angry Paro ... Sanaya rocked! And the change in expression from fury and disgust, to shock and distress as she hears his impassioned spiel about his soldiers, and himself ... and sees the hurt, defeated, vulnerable man inside. Is that the first time Rudra has shown his hurt to anyone?

Rudra storms out in tears ... he just bared his soul to Paro ... and it left him raw and bleeding again.
Before a wound can start to heal, it has to be scraped raw and emptied of all the poison and dead tissue.

Paro devastated ... should she sign or not? Her pain is fierce, but Rudra's pain is even more than hers, and not for himself, for his men. Is her betrayal of her village worse, or the dishonor to the dead soldiers worse?

She bares her pain to Dilsher ... the only other person she can speak to ... what should she do? Can she bear to give herself body and soul to the man she hates, her husband's killer, to save her village? She can't betray her village, but the alternative is worse than death for her.

Mohini kaaki repeats her instructions to Sumer ... find out about this dhuan kumari, or don't bother to come back home. She isn't convinced at all about Rudra's intentions ... after all, he's her nephew ... twisted thinking comes naturally to him.

Sumer follows instructions very sulkily ... but strikes lucky ... or rather, the Thakur's men strike lucky. And Tejawat will be on the trail again.

And in the dhamkedaar precap ... Paro calls Rudra's bluff.

Superb take Diya
Loved the episode
I was literally giggling and jumping up & down after the precap, never expected that.
What fabulous actors we have in this show taking it from strength to strength.

Loved the part today when she slowly lowers & loosens her grip on his collar when he asks her to sign the papers.

Thank you!

I loved the precap too! 😆 Never expected that ... we've seen quiet sobbing suffering heroines, we've seen loud fighting ones ... but this quiet fighter Paro is fabulous!!! She just never gives up!

Ashish and Sanaya are powerhouse performers ... they lift the show to another level completely!

Yep, her grip loosens as the penny drops, and she realises why he has said yes to the marriage ... and then of course, he tells her in full detail. He bares his soul to Paro ... he seems to have no problem in telling her everything.

Very nice take Diya!
The episode was really good. I am happy to see that a girl like Paro has taken such a stand. Her righteousness never left her, even not before a broken soul like Rudra, whom she unconsciously considers her protector. Not only that she thinks about the safety of her near ones, today I was really amazed when she asked herself, why would she testify in favour of a false allegation!

Rudra's character has been once again very well portrayed. His emotional breakdown in front of the heroine was definitely a change. He is so much determined in his motives and actions that she doesn't care what Paro would think seeing him crying. He is just himself. His desperation and helplessness were vivid on his face today.. Wonderful acting by Ashish!

Is that man who bumped into Sumer Thakur's man or thakurain's? I though he was appointed by Thakurain which means she will be entering the scene soon!

LOL ... Sure you can ... both are right in their places, both don't know the whole truth, only we do 😆

Besides, if Paro signed the paper ... then Tejawat would be behind bars, Paro would be safe to go home, Rudra would be back in the BSD with full honor ... and Rangrasiya would end 😆 So obviously she's not going to sign!

Very balanced episode overall...and that was what was so good about it!
Paros angst and anger over Rudra's declaration was countered by his own breakdown in front of her!

She has the upper hand because the marriage is the only threat he has...if she calls his bluff what will he do then...and she does seemingly...calmly...quietly!

And he is already sharing his pain with her...so maybe some understanding if each other is on the way too!

Sumer has kicked off the other angle of the story...till that merges with the haveli scene Paro and Rudra interactions will be good to watch!

Lovely take Diya and I enjoyed the episode. Whenever we get a substantial scene of Rudra and Parvati together the episode becomes better than usual.

We are at an interesting place in the story, a dramatic highpoint, with both Rudra and Paro fighting for their honour. Each has their version of truth and both are loyal to their beliefs. Never expected Rudra to bear his pain in front of Paro and it had quite an impact on Paro, slowly she getting to see the deep wounds.

Paro too is distraught, she would rather die than sell her soul to the devil. Liked her dialogue about not wanting to sign a false testimony, it is NOT ONLY blindly protecting loved ones BUT ALSO refusing to do what is wrong.

Sanaya and Ashish were fabulous.

Mohini is relentless in her mission. Wish Aman had such a lucky break as Sumer in getting evidence. Would really like to see Thakur back on screen.

Rudra realizes threat of life means nothing to Paro as compared to marrying him, confirmed by Paro's words, have a feeling we will revisit this again in future in a different context.

Great post Diya. The episode was great. I loved Sanaya, Ashish and Ananya's performances today. Kaki actually reminds me of Cinderella's step mother, I was watching it over the weekend and I felt some similarities in their cruel nature to others and favoring nature for her own children. Sanaya portrayed Paro's dilemma really well. She's disgusted and pained to be blackmailed to marry her husband's killer and her captivator. She'd rather die that tie a sacred knot with a man that she truly detests. For Rudra is also bad as he is possibility going to lose his job, face public humiliation and marry a girl that is no different than an enemy. They are fighting fate without knowing that they are destined for each other much like their namesakes.

Thanks, Monica!
Very balanced episode today ... the highlight was the PaRud scene ... she gets more than a glimpse into the man ... and Rudra doesn't mind breaking down and crying in front of her. He started off talking about his soldiers, but then broke down to describe how it would affect HIM too ... on a very personal level.

Paro's dilemma is still so difficult ... while she can sympathise now with Rudra's demand ... but how can she do something wrong? She can't sign a false statement ... she is too honorable.

Both are right in their place ... and both are wrong. What a situation to be in.

Rudra now faces loses everything he holds dear, everything that holds him together ... Paro just went through the exact same situation a few days back. She found the strength to pull herself together ... but how will he?

Was that the Thakurain's man? Need to re-watch that episode to check. Even more interesting ... will the thakurian enter the scene now?

The show is picking up again ... even Masala kaaki was tolerable 😛
