Today's Take - A Festering Wound

A raw wound, never allowed to heal, picked at repeatedly, probed, gouged, till it bursts open again and again, letting the poisoned pus flow out ... but there is always more poison buried deep inside, more poison to be gouged and pierced ... the wound scraped raw again and again, the poison flow unending ...

So has it been with Rudra ... never allowed to forget that one incident which shaped his life thereafter ... neither by his father or his malicious kaaki ...

Today Paro got a hint of the skeletons buried deep inside the Ranawat family closet ... and more than a hint of the pain they cause Rudra ... a pain she felt in the way his grasp tightened painfully on her own wrist at the first mention of his mother ... a pain which is scraped raw time and again by his kaaki ... a pain she saw in his eyes before he shuttered them and told her to leave the room ... the family skeletons were not for her, for he and she knew that she was not family. And a pain she saw in his eyes again as he bent over the reminder of that time, a reminder of the only hint of gentleness, softness, kindness in his life from that time ... an old, forgotten doll.

A revelation today ... Chachasa is in touch with Rudra's mother, but doesn't know why she left.

An investigation under way ... into Paro's antecedents ... lodged by Mohini kaaki-sa. Agent - Sumer. He's more dangerous than Samrat, but fortunately he doesn't feel the pressing need for investigation, the sale of the haveli is more important. So his search will be half-hearted at best ... hopefully.

Paro almost gives away part of her background in answering Sunehri and Maithili ... how can she help it? Every bit of her is shaped by the people in her life.

And again, the PaRud interactions were the most beautiful part of the episode ... the silent communication through the eyes ... these two might hate and distrust each other, but their eyes are already finding ways to convey messages their tongues don't need.

Short take today - I had guests in the evening, so caught the episode late.

Thanks for the take Diya. It was heart wrenching to see Rudra relive his past as he's reminded of his mother's betrayal. It's good to know that he's safely kept Paro's doll. It is a symbol of a good moment in his past where a girl selflessly gave her doll to bring his some happiness. Even today, the doll manages to give him a hint of happiness.

Although short, that was an excellent post, Diya!

I loved how you described Rudra's wound. I was speechless by his acting today.. His capacity of showing multi-layered emotions through his eyes and expression.. I am simply speechless...

Paro has got some hints and i hope she will have more information about Rudra during her stay there .. and all dynamics might change.. She was helpless all through her life, but today she got a glimpse of helplessness that Rudra is hiding inside his terror demeanor.

That lady, Mohini is too venomous. How can she hurt that boy so mercilessly.. Terrible! I know its a show, but the thought of someone like her in the real life shudders me!

Loved your take Diya! It was a very interesting episode today with really good acting by everyone - Ananya, Ashish and Sanaya.
Loved what Paro told Sunehri about the differences between people and she almost gave herself away too by mentioning the thakurain. 😲

Rudra and the doll scene was beautiful.

Great analogy, Diya⭐️ It surely is his dukhti rag, his emotional Achilles' heel. Touch him there and he howls, most tragically. For tragic it is...a small boy deserted by a most beloved mother, and who received little sympathy but all the blame. Non-existent blame manufactured by his father and his Maasi, to perhaps hide their own complicity in the crime? No brutal military training, no violent ambush has been able to prepare him for the pain of this wound.
Ashish was masterful in the scene. ⭐️

.

That's why the father took him away frm the haveli forcibly when he did. MausamSa would hv damaged the young boy beyond repair. She is so venomous. Not that the father tried to make things any better but still taking him away was a good decision,

Methinks, they r hiding something abt the mother...or the real reason of her going MIA..🥱 Poor Rudra. You rightly called it a festering wound, and Kakisa knows that and keeps on making it worse.

True, Sidda ... the doll is a reminder of the only time someone tried to comfort him with smiles and kindness. He doesn't even know yet that the girl who reached out to him then, did so in the midst of her own sorrow and grief ... when he gets to know that, how much more affected he will be.

And today the same thing will happen again .. in the midst of her own grief, Paro will find the strength and heart to reach out and soothe his pain, putting her own on the backburner.

Thanks, Monica 😃

Ashish is doing a great job ... he shows the anger and the hidden vulnerability beautifully. Not just in the breakdown ... there he was able to show his emotions, and he did a wonderful job ... but even in the scene with kaaki-sa, he showed the torment of a man hanging onto his composure by the slightest thread beautifully!

Paro is watching everything, she is getting a more and more complete picture of Rudra ... I think very soon she will understand that his ever-present anger is a mask to hide his vulnerability. And her character is such that she will reach out despite her own pain and her own troubles, to soothe his pain and torment. I am waiting to see who makes the doll connection first .. it will be epic for both of them. 😳

Mohini is venomous to the core ... sweet poison is too mild a term! I'm sure her driving force in her desire to get rid of Dilsher and Rudra and take over the haveli in her name, is basically jealousy of her own sister, who got the owner of the haveli, while she got the simpler, milder younger brother, who refuses to betray his brother and take over the haveli even in his absence. She made the wrong choice, and she has regretted it all her life. It has poisoned her own life, and she is spreading that poison in the lives of everyone around her.
