The one thing I didn't like about the show

I wasn't going to say anything about this, but since no one else has, I think I should.
I love the show, but I really don't like the fact that they put in the plot about Pakistani's smuggling weapons into India and using the excuse of a wedding. I'm sure they could have come up with any other story instead of that.

Let me just say that I'm Pakistani, and I watch a lot of Indian tv, but the one thing I hate is when this whole india-pakistan issue is used in shows and movies. There are already enough problems between our countries, so we don't need to add fuel to the fire with these kinds of stories.

As far as I'm aware, Pakistani shows don't do that. They don't try and show India in a negative light the way Indian tv sometimes does to Pakistan. If a Pakistani show was to do that, I'd say the same thing.

I understand that they want to show patriotism and all that, but putting down Pakistan is not the only way to do it. India and Pakistan are like two children from the same mother. Let's not try to ruin things and bring stir trouble between each other.

But they never said that the smugglers were from Pakistan, did they? They always stressed on the fact 'border k us paar' (I am very bad at Geography by the way .. lol )

There not showing Pakistan and India, there showing some other made up village/country. Well that's what I gathered.

They never mentioned about the country here .. so its open for debate actually 🤔 ... They only said other side of the border , so it can b any other country as India shares its border with many other countries .. so its not necessarily Pakistan only ..

CVs were smart in this case not to mention any country ...

Also here its like two country's people r shown equally involved in this smuggling .. that does not make any country bad as u will find such corrupt people or such backstabbers in each and every part of the world ..

Sarhad ke us paar. I'm pretty sure that means Pakistan.
I knows it's just fiction, but I just don't think it was necessary to bring that into the story.

I read the dialogue writer's interview and he said that the Geographical locations that are shown in RR, are only a creation of fiction.. Never once did they say that the smugglers were Pakistanis or anything like that..

Errr, No one ever mentioned Pakistan in the show.

They said "Sarhad".

You do understand India shares sarhad with other countries as well?

its "sarhad par"...never have they mentioned pakistan or any other country for that matter...i think CVs were pretty clever with that...to assume its Pakistan or any other country is upto the viewers and their imagination i guess...

and they didnt only show the "sarhad par" fictional country in negative light...they also showed the thakur was apart of the smuggling, who is Indian...
