Hi Sush! Wonderful post dear...Rudra/Laila equation is not working for me...today we found out that it was 8 years longs ( a very long time to have a live- in )...any one would harbor feelings for their partner...one becomes a habit for one another and although Rudra is very much committed to Laila although subconsciously...she is the only woman he has been with for 8 years and that itself is a huge commitment. Today I didn't feel that it was only a physical relationship...he cares enough to eat at her place. The last scene confused me, I felt there was love and concern in Rudra's eyes for Laila.Yes, Laila is desperate and possessive...of-course, it's very normal to feel that way because she has been loyal to him. There is too much history among them and right now

Right now I cannot visualize Paro and Rudra's lovestory from any angle. also noticed that he doesn't manhandle or is cruel to Laila ...the way he is with Paro. I am seriously pissed at the way he manhandles Paro. Today's episode have left me very discouraged.

What a letdown of a Super Bowl. Most people left after the halftime show.

Major is definitely aware of his petite guest. We know he was attracted to her when he rescued her. I don't think there is any doubt about that but he thinks she is guilty.

I can't believe Rudra would have a bandhani print kurta😆 . Also I did not get why he went to Birpur to get her clothes from Laila. Isn't Birpur far ? What happened to the stores in Chandangarh? He could have taken her in the morning..

Loved rudra and his dad's convo. Father knows best!😉

Yup...Vera,...it started bad and never picked up ..I mean things for the BRONCOs.

So, he goes all the way to Chandanpur to Laila ...and all he wants to do is eat food and get his guest some clothes...???Hmm...😆

True, he became aware of the petite guest the moment he looked at her in Birpur...

Hello!

If I may address what you wrote Priyanka I too agree there's a slight disconnect there. Yes, he cares for Laila and is very much involved with her and it puts a damper on the relationship all of us watch for. Having said that I think maybe the cvs are trying to show the magnitude of change ( awkward phrasing) that Rudra will go thru to get Paro. She's not going to roll over or welcome him with open arms. He's in for a a helluva fight for maybe the first time in his life. Yes, he's physically fought but mentally emotionally he's stunted. He needs to grow.

As for the manhandling I think it's borne of frustration and anger. As Sush posted he simply doesn't know what to do so he expresses his feelings the only way he knows how. Is it right? He'll no! Would anyone else other than Paro take it? Unlikely but change is a coming. 😊

Nice take!! Nothing is permanent except change...so slowly changes have started to happen in PaRud story...she accepted the new challenge and started adjusting to her new ambience and he trying to maintain hard ...his hard exterior in front of Paro...actually he doesn't know how to face Paro...Disher and Paro's scenes are good and heartwarming...They both are good actors...

Hi Priyanka,
You saw love and concern for Laila in Rudra's eyes? All I saw...was a remote look and may be a bit of a guilt or even pity for her...

Laila is dominated by him ...so he does not need to manhandle her much ( infact I thought Laila was manhandling him today...😆)...

He is really trying to dominate Paro and being rough ...because he has not been able to dominate her spirit...It is all because he does not know what else to do...and it fits his version that she is guilty of something...

I don't understand why they are showing Laila now. I thought Rudra-Paro love story won't start till later so they would show Laila later on once their love story starts. An eight year relationship..yikes! What is your take on that ?

Yup...8 years...is quite something isn't it? It says to me that

1) He never intended to marry anyone...he is too afraid of getting hurt like his dad did and he did too...
2) It would explain why it would be so difficult to want to have anything with Paro...
3) It sets the stage for the revenge Laila will take...because her pain is so great...she will rat Paro out...to Thakur...

Nice topic. Loved reading it. Paro the ever hopeful, and Dilsher noticed this nature of Paro in his short aquaintance with Paro, and suggesting Rudra that she is one for him. Loved Dilsher/Paro scene today, the smile on his face seeing Paro in the changed attire, awesome.
And coming to Rudra, he is sure lost, why would he go to buxom Laila to get clothes for our petite paro.

Yes a lovely episode sans the kaki business. A lot of people seem to hate Laila-Rudra scenes. And yet if you think about it - it makes so much sense.

A boy raised to distrust women. This is the only kind of relationship he is likely to make given the kind of childhood he has had. And really, from his side, there was no emotional involvement. In general, men are blind. They do not feel the way women do. I doubt he spent 1 second thinking how Laila felt about him. As far as he is concerned he has said he is not involved with her and has a on-need basis relationship and so it is as he has said. He gave it no further thought.

Laila on the other hand, has developed feelings for him. Because of this long association and her feelings, she has claimed him as hers. She will definitely turn negative and again it makes sense.

Paro will teach Ruda about life and change him. He has already started to feel something - too slight yet - but it is coming.
Laila will make him realize his mistakes. He is going to learn this lesson the hard way. But that is how you develop a character. Not simply flip flop all over the place trying to make everyone happy. There has to be a slow, steady progression on all fronts - A journey of love lost and gained.

Very well said @vjak! The character sketch is being done very well...a man who hates women...is likely to have the relationship he has with Laila...but it also means that he will not be a simple ready to fall in love guy for Paro either...
