This industry people have set trp as a benchmark for a show to survive, which is, atleast for me, is completely wrong.

I am not complaining, just stating my views n venting my frustration out. It feel so wrong when you work n dont get recognitition. Same happening with online n overseas viewers.

As of now, online viewing is not recorded and there you have a choice to skip ads. So, sponsors don't consider internet viewing. Prime Time is the most sale-able time to air ads, so the money that the sponsors pay to air ads during hit shows is GIGANTIC.

Its sad , but, at the end of the day, what is emotion and entertainment for you, is pure business for TV people.

Vicky do you reckon that it needs another time slot? Given that it is up against 2 long running shows with loyal fan base and one of them being a romantic family drama?

It does , but its a prestige issue for Colors. Prashant Bhatt, especially is the fighting kind. He stands by his shows and protects them. And trust me, ST, for all the abuse that he gets by psychotic fans is a FANTASTIC story teller. Give him a chance and some time to prove himself.

If nothing else, saas-bahu is the last resort. Anyway, RR is just one month old .Let Prashant and ST put their brains together. Am sure they are working already.

What I see normal public needs time to warm up to a show... All the popular star plus shows have been running for ages...colors popular show is BV and simar both been on for ages..

Saraswati Chandra was a flop but it went on and started getting audience..

Colors by bringing in bigg boss does not help in building a loyal audience... No bole tum was a good show had a loyal audience my hubby used to like it first season when they started again... The loyal audience was lost..

If they have invested in a show kept them continue properly for a year...

One thing though I think its pretty obvious to the channel n everyone that at least the overseas and online audience is huge.

And it has been topping Colors UK charts for weeks now.

Those data should be of some use

Also here is the thing the overseas viewing. don't we overseas people too pay for the package? watch the same bloody advertisements? we can't fast forward them in real time TV!

its so unfair!

I wish they had Colors official live streaming that is globally accessible and much more rigid ways to measure the viewership and join advertisements to it. Then its a definite way of making sure the said viewers will also watch the adverts!

anyway.. RR is ok TRPs for Colors i think. For a young show it has already got a stable loyal audience. And that is actually very good as far as I see it.
