Nice post.
Loved Rudra today...all the painful memories of his mother are once again hurting him😭
Kaki / Maasi seems to have some hand in his mother's disappearance

Diya, the reasons I can attribute to villagers not questioning about girls disappearing are ignorance, illiteracy, economic dependence on Thakur, low status of women and girl child in general (Rajasthan has among the worst sex ratio in India and has high rates of child marriage and other social problems) and as you pointed out girls must be coming from very poor and helpless families which are eager to get rid of a mouth to feed and thankful for free marriage. Well, there are communities which still believe once a girl's "doli" leaves only her "arthi" should come back to her parent's home. In this story it is happening literally. Remember the "Ameena case", these things happen in real among the economically weak sections.

Beautiful post, Diya.. and the title is absolutely an apt one.

A visit to the past.. and the visit not only took Rudra down to his memory lane, it also provided us with some hints about Rudra's mother's supposed innocence. I have a feeling that she was trapped and was made to leave the family.. the conspirators were from both outside and inside the house, Thakur Tejawat from outside and Mohini kaki from inside. Mohini Kaki is a real villain!

Little Rudra is such a good actor! Loved the happy flashback scenes.

From next week, theres going to be lot of hungama when mohini's sons will be back..

And yes, i am eager to see how Rudra introduces Paro to the family. He cannot keep her hidden forever.

Great post Diya. I haven't watched the episode yet but I'm happy with how the show is progressing. We got a taste of Rudra's past in this episode. It's interesting to learn that he shared a loving relationship with his mother. Her betrayal must have hurt more for he was always given a lot of love and then she disappeared to never complete her role as a mother. I think Rudra chloroformed Paro as she will not be a nuisance to his plan and neither would she really know where he's taking her. Most kidnappers would tie up, blind fold, intoxicate or put their victim to a drowsy state so that they are not aware of their present location. Even if Paro tries to escape, if she's not aware of Rudra's village nor allowed to leave his home, she wouldn't really know where to go or how to leave.

Loved reading your take, as always well written. The story is progressing nicely, the cv's seem to be building it around all the characters not just parud. Bringing to light the fate of all the previous brides was good, looks like Paro's sister will come into picture next.
Loved the flash backs, Rudra seems to have had caring mother and loving childhood until his mother ran away.
I keep wondering about Kesri ram when ever they say Paro is their only witness, was he shot dead by Rudra???? Hope the writers don't forget that guy and Bindi.

great take, diya. so rudy still has enough claim on the haveli to come in and demand his own space. interesting.

from a previous episode, i remember the mami used to hate rudra's dad..
(detectivegiri:)was his moms disappearance staged because she was mistreated by ranawat ? the spotlight on the eyes raises the question again.. which mom has hazel eyes? not thakurain.. but then, an actor can act as if they have hazel eyes 😉
]

and, am i the only one who thinks rudy will steal that mangalsutra and tie it on her, while she was unconscious, "to keep the annoying q's to a minimum"?

Very nice take Diya. You always have the ability to get into the psyche of Sanaya's characters which only a few do and Paro is no different.😃 Her entire life has turned upside down in a matter of few days. The show has picked up steam from last Friday and I am looking forward to what unravels next.. so far very good.

Yes, I'm sure the girls either get sold into the flesh trade or are abandoned and left to find their way back across the border.

That might be the one thing that changes Paro's mind about Varun, and therefore about Rudra ... if the missing Nandu jija surfaces and tells Paro about the racket of selling brides for guns. And Paro will realise that her dreams of a happy married life would never have materialised even if Rudra had not killed Varun.
