Beautiful post again ...love how you always title your takes with a RR ...it was definately an episode of rash promises.

Fabulous analysis Sabs.

Loved the nuggets at the end.

The RRash promises are just that.

The flaws in the characters.

Paro has already gotten under Rudra's skin. He's reacting the only way he knows how - by being a beast.

I know there is a fire about the Thakurani being Rudra's mum, but somehow it seem highly unlikely. Although it's food for thought that CVs feel that she should not know his name, yet.

It was cruel to say the least that Rudra had to resort to bullying Paro and deny her food. What good will that do? Except get her to the hospital as she will likely collapse with the stress added on.

But perhaps, there is a crucial reason for the hospital scenario? (Especially if she is attacked.)

I really liked Laila questioning about Paro. Her intuition is telling her something is different about this girl & Rudra's involvement.

Paro retorting to Rudra was a pleasant surprise at first. I didn't think this early she would come out of the fog of her entire existence turning upside down. Watching a stunned Rudra was worth it. She has lived in that village with the others under the fear of BSD. Somewhere she knows why they were majboor to carry out this act. Also she has nothing to loose anymore, the BSD have wiped every fragment of 'happiness' from her life.

Thakur needs to eliminate Mamisa. Her love & desperation for Paro, can become a weakness & pull Thakurs game down.

Me too enjoying the story...all the characters getting their relative screen space...

@Laila, so we are already seeing the triangle in action.

@ Paro, completely true that she has nothing to lose any more, and now with her back to the wall she is striking back.

@ thakur, yes Mamisa is the weak link now. So she had to go.

Thanks Vera, I think in these initial days as they set out the backdrop of the story, we will get a lot of information, which will taper off in a few months.

@Bold: Agreed! That's one of the reasons he wouldn't tell Laila why he'd put Paro in Jail.

@Bold: Yes, it seems a little obvious, but then that depends on if the CVs are giving us big and bold or subtle and surprising. Will be interesting to find out. Also, seems odd that Rudra would not recognise his own mom at Paro's Sangeet.

@ital.: Safe to say that Rudra was not thinking straight, or at all. Just reacting with his injured pride.
