Before writing this post, I have a confession to make. Just now, today, I finally took a moment to look up the proper spelling of Ashish Sharma's name. I've been watching this show for two weeks, and I didn't bother before --because that seemed like I was committing.

Having come to this show from IPKKND, I knew what Sanaya could do, and after that show went belly-up I swore never to get that..invested again, you know? I mean, Barun broke my heart. There, I said it. So with this one--I was back, but I never planned to be completely on the bandwagon of the guy AND the girl. I was dating and having a good time, but sure as hell not buying a ring.

But today's acting, its intensity...Ashish mera band baja diya and I could no longer keep up the pretense. My god. I'm not even talking about the potential of the Paro-Rudra chemistry..though..eekkk!!!! But just the face-off between him and Thakur! A true actor knows when to let his emotions, his junoon, his everything out, and when to keep it JUSSTTT under the surface.

This episode had so much potential for overacting. And if he had done any of that..phir bhi chalta tha--it was a pretty strong scene that could have disguised some hamming. I can imagine how Shahrukh would have played it--so much scenery would have been chewed up all over the damn place, we'd have holes on the TV screen. But here is this guy, who's not that well known, who's done some smaller, or at least, less known things..and he was MASTERFUL. I literally watched the episode twice, the second time, consciously trying to keep my eyes off of him, look at the background, the colors, anything but him. And I couldn't.

He was subtle, and yet, so damn clear with the shifting of his emotions..anger at Paro, shock at her village's betrayal, snide sarcasm at the Thakur, triumph at Aman's arrival, even pain for Paro's last, desperate pleas. So many things, within twenty superb minutes of acting.

Big league acting, from a method actor with incredible magnetism and potential. Ashish Sharma. Naam to suna hoga. Aab pyar bhi kar lo.

missing you on PhatPhatiya napster
and yes, Ashish is da bomb - fabulous acting today.

our loyalties will be under question but Ashish/Sanaya will draw me out of my hibernation and write TFS part 2 with many many chapter 41's in it. 😆

True, Ashish Sharma is incredibly talented, he is slowly unleashing his true potential inch by inch.
Can you believe it all these years we didn't even know an actor with such an immense talent exists.

Aap ka naam bhi humne suna hai. Today's episode was amazing.

I usally used to watch this episode in bit and pieces because of Sanaya, but today I couldn't stop myself from watching the whole episode. It only happened because of Ashish Sharma. I have loved him in Chandragupt Maurya too. In that show he was more like a side kick to me and Chanakya the real hero who always guided his student.

Agreed, agreed agreed. Ashish was great today, so was Tarun.

BTW, now that you are shopping for a ring, any chance we will get to read FFs on Paro and Rudra from your end? I was a huge fan of your work from the earlier show, hoping this show will hold your interest long enough to get you writing again :)

Thank you for your kind words! I am so touched by the fact you may recall my previous works..and absolutely, like serialjunkie the master herself, I am turning some ideas over in my head! But I'm going to be finishing Perfection before I start anything new.I have a few chapters for that still to go, (and some written already) and I have sufficiently "punished" IPKKND for hurting us all in my messed up head to finish what I started before working on new stuff!

He is AMAZING as Rudra..! I was actually surprised why I never spotted this actor of THIS great caliber, and who is out and out, a true perfectionist..!!! ❤️
He is SO amazing and plays his role to the T ..!!! I am SO SO glad that he is the one playing Rudra as he brings every single aspect of his character onscreen and that too SO beautifully..!! 😳
