Completely agree with you...
I always do that...

I think its a good relief from all those rona dhona, OTT saas bahu family drama, with no action, other than when the females are molested by goons. Sometimes we do want to watch some action mystery drama, ...and Yesterday's epi was okay I think. Not too much Not too less.
Well when children are concerned, any responsible parents would be the best judge and change the channel accordingly.😆

this is a story happening in the border, so yes there will be violence cause yes its reality and do happens in the border,
i havent seen much of a violence in yesterday's epi, comeon even the promos have warned us that this show will have violence and even ST said that in a lot of interview , atleast these violence are much better than the once shown in BW and kids watch that also and i dont think they will get scared when they see SRK or salman khan kill people😆

When its movie, we know exactly what to put and what not to. but considering soaps t always just heavy on jewellery and dialogues- they r considered safer. feeding the girl to the crocodile was gory and I am sure there are laws against showing such stuff. (Not just for the gore)

what were u doing letting ur child watch a show with a tagline, 'a love story written in blood on the sands of the desert'😲

it can't get anymore obvious! my parents had way better control over me when i was younger! if they already knew something violent was gonna be shown they didn't call the channel to stop airing it.. either they sacrificed their own viewing of it or just put me to bed or kept me out of the tv room at the time!!

sheesh that is what my aunts n uncles do to my little cousins even now!!!

PS: i am not defending the violence here.. just telling that kids shouldn't be allowed to watch it from what i have experienced in my own life!

Everyone has their own parenting style but my view is that a child who is too young to watch action scenes with blood and gore at the level of that shown in Rangrasiya (which is the same as BW movies that our kids see and that too on a big screen) should be in bed by 9.30 pm. It's up to parents to censor what their children watch not the channel or the production house. 9.30 pm is a reasonable time for this show to be aired. This is not an attack on the TM, like I said we all decide what's best for our own children, this is just my opinion.

I think they are showing the violence to show the differences in Rudra and Paro's lives too.
Paro is sheltered and trusts people whereas Rudra is faced with fighting with terrorists and evil people in general. that is how Rudra's character is shaped making him ruthless and suspicious of people in general.
they were also establishing Thakurs character as a ruthless person who will go to any lengths to get his way. The crocodile thing was actually shown in the dark so it didn't really bother me.

Blood and gore will be toned down in future.

I have kids, they're in bed way before RR airs. They do not watch any serials.
But I also censor what cartoons they are allowed to watch.

I'm here to watch something different on tv, Army officers, Border security, bloodshed is going to b part and parcel of this show. Even though I was peeking through my fingers watching the fight sequences😆

do you have a child?

do you live in a country like India where people are up late because they get home late? children also mean 10 -12 and they all are up at that time. so basically what you eant to say is pack up the kids and watch tv. is that the way a family functions? do you have a family and if so is that how you function? it is an undeniable fact that 9-10 iis prime time. So you want to tell the rest of India pack your kids by 9.30 because RR is violent and we don;t care if you watch with your kids but this is how the show will be
sorry no country works that way and no families too

For all the hue and cry, it was not that very violent. Its not the "Cabin in the woods" or " Hatchet" movie stills that they showed now was it? The shot was apt for the scenario with the right amount of action (thats what I call it). It was a filmy PATRIOTIC scene.. too filmy for my liking, but still. I agree that prime time is 8-11 in India. But you have so many horror shows also that have been aired during these times that might have far more psychologically disturbing content to kids(below age of 10).
Now, my question to you is - If this was a saas bahu drama/ people dying and coming back to life/love-hatred stories etc etc without a hint of violence(you will havew to define violence here), will you let your kid watch it? Do you think that is appropriate? Who says kids should not watch only blood and gore? My friend, the daily soaps are equally damaging.
Too lengthy. sorry. I could not stop myself.
