And taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed?
Of implication, insinuation and ill will, 'til you cannot lie still,
In all this turmoil, before red cape and foil come closing in for a kill
Come feed the rain
'cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust
It's all a game, avoiding failure, when true colors will bleed
All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need
I lust for after no disaster can touch, touch us anymore
And more than ever, I hope to never fall, where enough is not the same it was before
Come feed the rain...
'cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust
Can you ever be sure that the train you board will land you safely to your destination or the cab you pick will safely land you home?? No, that can't be guessed and that's the reason why life is so uncertain! If we go play by play for the entire episode we'd find the same uncertainty ruling our protagonists lives. Paro has begun her journey not knowing where will it land her? Will she land with a thud or fly gracefully like a swan is known only to time. And time doesn't speak in her favor as of now.
For starters, Paro is made to sit in a caravan that is all decorated but still lacks the jovial mood that carries a bride. Its here that we are readied to witness what awaits the lot. There is a very interesting tale in Hindu mythology that speaks of Goddess Parvati's widowed form!! Dhoomavati, as she is known, is a hollow, sringarheen(beauty-less) form of Adi-Shakti and she rides a wagon that is dilapidated with a crow always hovering about it. Now if I take you back to the entire scene, then I'd ask you to take a close look at the wagon, it was covered with a white streamer, a color that is forbidden for newly wed!! The parallelism is quite evident there itself. The entire scene spoke what was about to happen next! Brilliant move by CVs!
It then immediately switches over to the mighty BSD forces making their entry and stopping the forces from crossing over. It was a very well shot scene and I suddenly was reminded of the movie "Border". The entry of the soldiers was epic by any standards. Blurring the scenes, and using silhouettes against the desert sun was a visual delight.
But what caught my attention was one particular scene when BSD officers are shown throwing covers and jumping onto the ground! It was very similar to Rudra's entry in his absentia(Paro's dream sequence guys!). I've stated this before that Lord Rudra is always depicted as shaking his matted locks in anger, not only this his followers, the ones who go with Him to battle, too shake their mated locks!! The scene was a beautiful rendition of the same! I particularly liked it over the entire episodic showing.
And finally the most awaited crisis rose its head and we saw the very reason that would tear apart both Paro and Rudra only to join them later on. The ensuing battle that was much awaited has finally begun. I almost knew that BSD wouldn't find a thing in the caravan, simply because those were trained soldiers who knew theri hideouts. But then that was smart move Major Ranawat!! Yes, in places a bride's trousseau is not opened as it is considered as a bad omen, and what better place to hide cash and cattari that they were smuggling?? And that was it, the final siren to the beginning of the battle!! The enemy soldiers taking their place, the counter-fire by the BSD forces, the collateral damages on either side and an innocent dame caught between the two sides fighting it out was perfect! I loved the way the entire action sequence was shot! It looked perfect and without going OTT they managed to capture the essence of it all! Brilliant!
Sanaya was perfect in her portrayal. I loved the way she shook vulnerability in her gestures. Add to it the constant flashing of her dreams and facing reality of Rudra was a marvel again. But again her accent irritate me as she was back to square one! But I'll let it pass for she was brilliant.
Aashish too was fantastic. He channels an animal like energy and looked just perfect while barking orders. There is something about his eyes that play a constant fury and that just gels with the entire on screen persona!!
Vishal was so subtle in his scenes! I love him, its a shame that we'd not get to see more of him! I'll really miss him loads!
A special mention for the guy who plays Aman. Man he is perfect!! He emotes perfect to the T. Its a treat when he comes on screen. I'd love to see more of him! He is brilliant in whatever little that he has to play!
Creatives, DOP and the music composers I love you too!! You people have made it such a fantastic watch. Thank you!
The promo made my chest swell in pride hopefully the episode will give another proud moment!!
P.S. A very happy Lohri, Makar-Sankranti, Uttarayan, Onam and Pongal to all of you!! Have a blessed day ahead!!
P.P.S. I am a Goldie???
