I have refrained from giving sweeping statements for Sanaya so far despite being an ardent fan...I was so happy when she chose this role, because she was obviously stepping out of her comfort zone, and trying something very raw, very poignant and very heartbreaking...At the same time the fan in me was a little nervous if she can pull it off convincingly...About her acting talent I had no doubt, but the whole rural setting and the constant note of melancholy which this character requires would have been challenging for her and for us too...Because we know Sanaya Irani from her offscreen interview/segments...She is very urban, very bubbly and totally carefree and fun in real life. And when an actor as well known as her takes a role which is as contrasting to her personality as this,it becomes even more important that there is total delineation between the actor and the character!..Yes even khushi was from a small city,,yet there were many shades of character that were so Sanaya...her bubbliness and outspoken, fun loving nature was intact there...Infact Gunjan was more of a contrast to Sanaya than Khushi...Still Gunjan had a life far more sheltered ,and situations far less daunting than Parvati...And thet is what makes Parvati her most challenging role for me...There is only pain,no respite for her.
But with each passing episode Sanaya is doing me more and more proud...She is owning this character literally. What depth and maturity she is bringing in this character...Its like a poetry...And esp yday's episode...We have seen Sanaya act as innocent girl so many times if Gunjan,in Khushi...But yday in the whole scene with Varun and then in temple, she brought an innocence that was SO Paro, only Paro...An innocence mixed with pain of her tragic past, and yet interspersed with hopes and dreams about her future,as she listens to the kind of life her husband wants...And may I say a word of praise for Varun too...In just few scenes, he has made his mark..as a very sweet, understanding and sensitive who cares for his and his beloved's dreams and wants to share life with his partner in truest sense...
And then the scene in temple...so telling,so beautiful...Paro thanking God that though she never said it aloud,God knew what was in her heart and granted that...All the roothna manan they had was for this day, when God fulfilled all her desires and and granted all happiness with one single stroke...This is how pure Paro is...And all she wants with life is to have a home to call her own, where she can put the paints of her choice on walls with haq, without asking anyone...This is how simple her dreams are...And Sanay brought all that simplicity and purity and naviety into Paro so effortlessly...You wonder how she manages to do it...Until the actor has conviction and faith in his/her character.he/she can never inspire it in viewers...And that is what Sanaya has...a conviction for Paro which has made us a part of her journey, instead of being bystanders...And best part is she is drawing us deeper and deeper everyday...Her Rajasthani accent(the only grey area for me) has been improving with each passing day...And with each passing day she is evolving more and more as Paro.I am not saying she is Perfect and flawless...There is always scope for improvement for any actor, without improvement there can be no growth, and Snaya is no different...She would become even more better as time passes and she understands Parvati even more...But what she has achieved in one week is no mean feat, and is commendable in itself.

PS- Minor Reference to her previous characters is to just discuss Sanaya as an actor, and not for any other purpose.

Whenever I get a chance to describe Sanaya n her acting talent, my words always fall short! I m not Saying this coz I m a hardcore sanaya fan, but this is a fact!

I saw her first in LRL, n as Sameeera she was just her normal self...then came Gunjan, shy, timid, reserve small towner, who came to a big city to achieve more, yet rooted to her ground, moral n very focussed...She portrayed Gunjan beautifully n no one can say that her off screen persona would be of a loud, frank, out spoken girl! She portrayed Gunjan to perfection.

Then Khushi, where she again played a goofy small town girl n with her amazing comic sence, made Khushi historic! Though CC can be forgotten, yet I salute this girl's gut to take risk n do some thing different.

For me Sanaya is living Paro...though I was bit apprehensive in the beginning, mostly because of the rural set up, the language, the costume n even the Rajasthani accent, I had full faith on her talent n capabilty. She was bit uncomfortable in the beginning episodes, but gradually she is catching up...Parvati is an innocent girl, with a tragic past...she is strong yet vulnerable...she isnt hopeless n her attitude towards life is positive. In this intense n mature story, a single scene of Paro can bring a positive light...be it the conversation with Rukmini or that cute dancing in her mother's lehnga or her conversation with God in the temple, every scene brings smile, they depict, among all these hatred there is still a ray of hope! Sanaya has portayed these emotions perfectly...thats why we can feel Paro, her happiness, her pain, her emotions.

So I must she she is doing a great job as Parvati n I salute Sanaya for this perfect portrayal. Great post with beaufiful analysis Enchanted!👏

this is a wonderful post , completely agree with what you said, i too had a doubt in the beginning whether she could adjust with doing this role, soo shy and quiet village girl , very very rural and learned upto only 5th , and most importantly the rajasthan accent, sanaya cannot even speak hindi well, but she amazed me in the first week, i am not saying that her accent was soo perfect as a rajasthani but i can see a good improovement in her last 2 epis , especially yesterday's epi where she was in the temple and talking to lord shiva , that scene she bring out soo well, improovement is better than being perfect 👍🏼

Was amazed with Sanaya's acting. With Khushi she had to be OTT at most times!

Here the subtlety needed by this character and the amazing tone in which she is portraying the character is too good! Sanaya Irani is at the top..in her acting skills. She excelled in the rural setting I was quite apprehensive about that as well though she aced as Khushi...but she has done a great job so far and this is just the start!!!

The scene with her beau in the serial yday was shot so perfectly. The confusion, anxiety, nervousness, her fears about her new life and then her happiness later on after she realized everything that was happening with her was beyond her expectations was so perfectly portrayed by her! Kudos to the actor too he did a great job too! Loving this!

Brilliant Post 👏.

Completely Agree With You.

For Me Sanaya Is Not Acting As Parvati She Is Living As Parvati .

I Cannot See Any Glimpse Of Her Previous Character . That Speaks Volumes How Conveniently N Flawlessly She Is Portraying Paro.

Hats Off Sanaya Irani
