well you said it right and i am glad many members like you have had the courage to post their opinions.

The producer of the show has definitely tried to make this OTT to grab more eyeballs and garner trp's in the initial episodes.

the true test will be it's durability and that will only happen if the content is strong.

hopefully the content ll b strong too😊...lets see what happens...

On Colors, newly launched Rangrasiya' was the most watched show on the channel with 25,300 viewers, followed by Madhubala' with 23,200 viewers and Sasural Simar Ka' with 19,500 viewers. - See more at: https://www.media247.co.uk/bizasia/overnights-tumhari-paakhi-goes-up-on-star-life-ok#sthash.lvVv9IVW.dpuf

@TM - while i would have agreed to u that sometimes action scenes r OTT. look at this above statistic i posted. This is why.
Its not reality dear.

I myself despite SK being my fav Khan off screen will never watch his movies.. the 3 actors u mentioned has that set of films i will never watch.

BUT the same stuff work for general masses. n i feel its good for the show to have these superficial stuff to gain layman viewers so that the show has good TRPs. this will allow the writers to tell the beautiful story they seem to have. If the package works for these set of viewers, the viewers like us who love the aesthetic bits u have appreciated, the real story will get to enjoy them too.
these mass viewers r not always fond of these stuff we like n if the TRP audience reject this we will end up with a butchered show. Thus its best to please both ends half half. ignore the too much action sequences n enjoy the underlying beautiful scenes! :)

1 week old show topped the UK charts of Colors. n i will rest my case

Quite disappointed with some of te responses in the thread. the TM raised a valid point. Lets welcome constructive criticism, otherwise the forum would be very boring.

Hi Krystal, I can see where you are coming from. personally, I loved the larger than life introduction of characters, especially the slow motion action sequences of Rudra. but I guess in a week's time the story will settle down and eventually the story telling will have to be a lot more subtle.

You're right it is OTT filmy stuff... and I'm loving it!!! It's like getting a mini movie within the 20 minute framework of daily soap.
If the PH/Channel are using this as a way to attract eyeballs and it works then why not? It's their job to attract viewers to their product.
Will they be able to sustain it long term? Probably not but then again that's probably not the intent either. I'm guessing at that point the story will have taken over.
For now I'm reeling in the beautiful cinematography, the superb acting and that soul touching title track. This show in it's first week has been more complete in it's presentation than many feature length films.

I am sorry that you had to hear " then donot watch the show " ...that's not done atall .

I think ..this whole filmy flavour ie slow motion action scenes etc is what this PH is good at ...I personally am liking it , not seen it on tv before so its fun 😆 Probably got something to do with my taste in movies also ..I like the masala bollywood types.

I also feel it suits rudra's personality so is gelling well with the show . Whatever little I have gathered of the audience ( even outside the forum) ...ppl are sitting up and noticing the show , so i guess its working ...

I'm guessing the person who made this post has never seen a typical Bollywood action film...coz most of them are unrealistic and OTT including blockbusters such as Chennai Express and Dhoom 3. I am not saying this to offend anyone and I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion whether it be positive or negative but this is just a simple daily soap...if big Bollywood producers can emulate the same over the top action sequences in their movies again and again to garner a bigger audience then Rang Rasiya kya cheez hai?? 🥱

Why would people waste their money on watching the same thing over and over again...to tell you the truth I find all of Sallu's and Akki's movies OTT so how come they don't flop at the box office??? Because most of the Indian audience loves to watch such action sequences whether they be classified as OTT or not...and the hero saving the heroine sequence is an overused pattern in Bollywood since god knows when...I wonder why people don't go bashing BW producers for placing such importance on such sequences.

Those are two-hour masala movies..This is a show that is being marketed as "subtle and realistic". The two don't gel.
