What's with the OTT filmy-ness?

The action scenes are comically over-the-top, beholding them feels like watching a weekend telecast of Akki/Sallu/Sunny Deol movies. Please, this is a daily soap, not a TV remake of Dabangg. And can they PLEASE get rid of the "hero-saving-heroine" stuff? It was simply horrible to watch...a marriage of cliched-scenes and Rajni-action-movies made in hell. Slow-motion punches? Cars blowing up? Hero beating up five villains? Bah.
Please, please for goodness' sake, eliminate this stuff. They are jarring to say the least, especially when contrasted with the otherwise authentic and earthy feel of the show in general.

Thank you.

People have different tastes. But majority of the audience love the OTT stuff. 😆 Otherwise, films like Dabanng or Rowdy Rathore wouldn't have been such big hits 😆
Dunno about the other stuff, but I have always been a sucker for action scenes-well executed ones. I mean,we seldom find actors who can actually do GOOD action. Ashish is one those few.
He has received good training from his GKD days and especially from his CGM days(damn,CGm had some amazing action ) ,so the outcome has been good. For me,OTT action is the USP.

I get your point though. But I think, its been done to boost up the hero's entry. Everybody loves a larger than life hero 😎

The phat phatiya aviators waala hero 😎

I wonder why so many people would go to watch these OTT movies and why these movies would be included in the 100-crore club. Why would people waste their money on watching the same thing over and over again...to tell you the truth I find all of Sallu's and Akki's movies OTT so how come they don't flop at the box office??? Because most of the Indian audience loves to watch such action sequences whether they be classified as OTT or not...and the hero saving the heroine sequence is an overused pattern in Bollywood since god knows when...I wonder why people don't go bashing BW producers for placing such importance on such sequences.

Well, depends on the setting right?? He is afterall a BSD officer, so action will be there. The Rann is not a party certainly. Fighting cross-border terrorism isnt a party. There is nothing soft or dreamy about Rajasthan or the desert . hence the allure and the intensity. There are no, repeat no half measures in the desert. And yes, for a tv show to achieve the cinematographic excellence, feel and mounting of a movie is a huge achievement.

I agree with the earlier post..if you dont like it-dont watch it!😊 I dont see any harm in doing those action scenes..if you can watch them on BS then why not on SS and the most important thing is that most of the viewers enjoy watching such scenes..

Its the weekend yaar, and people have enough time to waste to write negative words about a TV show on a dedicated thread to the show, instead of doing something positive that brings them and others happiness

There is a simple rule that can be followed to stay happy and let people around you be happy - whatever you dont like, ignore it and move on to find what you do like, and dont spend your time and energy making negative comments, which only makes you and others miserable 😛😛
