I am so not understanding the border thing though!
Is Beerpur is Pakistan or what?😕

thank you! well Shivu I am not Indian, but while we were discussing during the past few months regarding this a few told us that India borders Pakistan in Rajasthan & Gujarat too! That was a shocking news to me to as I always thought it was only in Kashmir that the 2 countries bordered each other..
So this is a place like Kashmir where it legally belongs to India, and a little further belongs to Paki.

@Sunara:
Thank u for explaining so well! Silly me, I live in India and I know that Pakistan borders India in Rajasthan and Gujarat but I never knew that like in Kashmir, in these areas also there are areas like POK. So that means where Paro is living is a little beyond Indian Border?

i think its just inside Indian border, from what I have figured out and what I was explained, earlier the part that is Birpur and the villages next to it was one place, ruled under a single Rajah(whose descendent is the Takur). And from the partition they ended up belonging to 2 different countries with Birpur belonging to India and the other part belonging to Pakistan. BUT now the issue is half the relations belong to one country n the rest to the other due to some hypothetical line drawn by the government (according to them). and they r rebelling against it.. As they see no sense in doing that.
And from their POV its very much correct isn't it?

u r welcome! n aww well what I know is all thanks to some of the other San fans AND googleji! I pretty much searched every detail about Rajastani dialect to traditions to wedding customs to the Rann of Kutch all thanks to Sanaya! 😆

@Sunara:
Yeah! It does make sense and this is the scenario in almost all areas which lie on the border, like of two neighbours, one went to India and other to Pakistan and therefore such rebellious behaviour is justified on their part.

As far as your diary is concerned, well I hope the next instalment comes soon! Because I will be waiting for it!!
