Actually I had expected him to be much more evil, hoped in fact.. And what he says is correct from his POV.. He is doing a lot from the villagers and expects their loyalty in return.. His opinions and actions may prove misguided later but for him they are right..

The subtle threat in his eyes was interesting.. The man whom he spoke to is forgiven outwardly but will he be able to sleep in peace? Doubt it..
