Q- Is it true that the show is inspired from Shakespears' Othello?
A- Rangrasiya potrays destructive form of love. When my co star Ashish was told about Rudra s' character , he was asked to read Othello once. It would help in bringing intensity to the character.

Q- How much do you relate with your character?
A- I play Paaro. A common village girl. It was tough because I am nowhere close to it in real life. If you scare her, she would be so. But would'nt come down on her knees infront of anyone. Rudra is straightforward. Life , as and how plays itself with Paaro, she adjusts accordingly.

Q-That means she isnt strong...how would she attract the audience?
A- She isnt strong because she is real. Commonly, village girls are like that. She isnt a strong one like Rudra but in future episodes you'd find her taking a stand. Fear in life is important. It alerts us. And then its a fictional show. We cant implement 100% reality in it. People need to understand that.

Q- Rudra s' hands are bloodied with Paaro s' loved ones. How will she accept him?
A- Both have a past. Due to which Arnav hates love and Paaro believes in values. Rudra is in the Army. Army men are tough. They dont warm up easily.

Q- Paaro is a totally different character. Reason for choosing such.?
A- Before it, I have done two shows where the character was of a cheerful and a talkative person, I wanted to come out of my bubbly image. I tried wholeheartedly to potray Paaro as a timid person.

Q- Drashti Dhami is your friend. Any plans to do Jhalak Dikhlaja?
A- No. I cant sail in two boats at the same time.

Q-Have you moved on from unsuccessful Chhan Chhan?
A- We learn something from all things. Even if it was unsuccessful, ChhanChhan too was a memorable part of my life.

Q- Anything you'd like to say about Mohit Sehgals' show?
A- I have seen it and I liked it. I am happy that he got a good character to play.

A spamdomain Review- Is Rang Rasiya the Next Big Thing on TV ?

http://spamdomain.blogspot.in/2014/01/a-spamdomain-review-is-rang-rasiya-next.html

Ever since the promos went on air it has been touted as the next big thing on TV and finally on 30th November 2013 Colors most awaited and anticipated show Rang Rasiya hit the Screens and our first reaction was "WOW". What rolled out before our eyes left us spellbound. The beauty of Rang Rasiya does not lay in just one or any factor; it's the balanced blend of each and every aspect associated with the show that makes Rang Rasiya one of a kind. Rang Rasiya is the love story of Rudra and Parvati (Paro) with patriotism as it's' backdrop. Five episodes down the back-story has been established, the characters are introduced and a small peek into their characteristics are also shown.

The best thing about RR has two distinct stories which will go on to become one story in the future. The RR team has made it evident that both the characters, the emotions and feelings they are going through, their stories and the imprints left by the tragedies (Paro losing her parents and Rudra's mother abandoning him) in their lives will be explored with equal importance. Every other character, every element of the story contributes to the stories of Paro and Rudra. Only having characters that are complete opposite of each other does not account for making a hit Love-Hate Saga. One story over-shadowing the other does not help either, what pulls the crowd and holds their interest throughout; especially when it comes to a love-story is when both the protagonists have their own stories and when that story crosses path with each other without overshadowing the other and then goes on to become one.

Here Rudra has a story, Paro has a story and the two have crossed paths but without overshadowing the other. Even the elements that make these stories be it the props, the BG Scores, the FB's etc are also distinct and unique to Rudra and Paro; and define them. Take the entry sequence of both the leads for instance when Paro is shown the whole ambiance, the lighting's, the settings and shots have a more colorful and vibrant feel whereas when Rudra is shown we see the use of more subtle shades, dim lighting's and nothing but the vast dessert and Rudra riding his bike all alone. Another example would be the BG Score used for either of them for Paro (Most of the time) it is the soft, melodious Kamaycha (Sarangi) version of RangRasiya is used while when Rudra is shown the "Rang Rang Rang Rasiya" version is used. Even the dessert which plays an important role in Rang Rasiya has been captured differently when it comes to Paro and Rudra reflecting their personalities. The makers have not only managed to show the difference between Rudra and Paro; but in a span of 5 episodes they have also managed to interweave their lives together. Look at the irony Paro hates the BSD because they were responsible for her parent's death and Rudra despises beautiful women because his father has embedded some very strong feelings in him when his mother abandoned him.

Director Siddharth Sengupta is class apart when it comes to shooting outdoors, he has done it earlier with Balika Vadhu and Gulal and once again he goes on to create magic with Rang Rasiya. Every frame of Rang Rasiya speaks volumes of the director's vision and his vision is captured to the "T" by D.O.P's Sanjay Memane and Anil Katke. Those marvelous shots of the somber desert which hides beneath it 1000's of untold stories are captivating and feels like it has a life of its own. The shots of the ethnic architectural buildings, the temples, exotic lakes etc are nothing in short of a Visual Enigma; in fact it's hard to name a series on Indian TV with such amazing outdoor shots and camera work in general in the recent past. When RangRasiya's 2.30 mins long trailer was released it looked nothing short of a Bollywood Trailer. Saurabh Tewari thinks Big like Cinema Big but with RR he has managed to deliver. One can say beyond a shadow of doubt that the team that has come together has managed to achieve the cinematic "look" of the show.

Ashish's introductory scene which happens to be a fragment from Paro's dream was very impressive. Though his face wasn't revealed his impeccable body language did most of the Job. Whether it was jumping off from the camel, or shifting his shawl and then walking with the rifle it all screamed MAJESTIC! To make that kind of an impact without revealing the face is more than commendable. Ashish Sharma plays BSD Officer Rudra Pratap Ranawat. Playing an angry young man in the show Ashish is required to keep this intense, brooding look in most of the scenes but that does not stop Ashish from limiting the scope of his performance. For instance the scene where Rudra is informed that he is being transferred to Birpur a small village next to his; the way his expression changes, the way emotions flit across his face can be comprehended with utmost ease inspite of that being a dimly lit shot. Looks like there can be more to the interpretation of the angry young man than just having the constant brooding expression. There is only one phrase to describe Sanaya's Introduction-"Poetry in Motion". She looks extremely breathtaking as Paro and as of now is the only major character in the show that brings innocence to the table. She is sensitive, timid, soft spoken etc and Sanaya does an effortless job in slipping into the character of the extremely delicate and demure like Paro. Not once does she remind the viewers of the characters she has essayed earlier. There couldn't have been a better actor from the current lot to essay the character of Paro.

The costumes by Ritu Deora and team is absolutely stunning and well differentiated, Sanaya's Lehenga Choli, Thakurain's Saree's, Rudra's Casural Wears etc define the characters. The art direction by Sumit Mishra is splendid. The Music by Lalit Sen and Shaleen Sharma is soulful, the title song by Saurabh Kalsi is one of the best we have had in recent times and the BG Score by Ashish Rego is a character in itself. The action director Amar Shetty is doing great. The sequence where Rudra hunts down the 5 terrorists who killed their Jawan's and the one where Rudra saves Paro from the goon, specifically the one where he pulls the driver from his seat and thrashes him onto the ground... Stupendous!!! Doing action effortlessly and with great lan is not everybody's cup of tea; well Ashish outshines himself in the actions sequences.

Dialogues by Raghuvir Shekawat are good but the rural dialect is yet to be mastered by the actors. Be it Sanaya Irani (Paro), Tarun Khanna (Takur Tejawat), Sadiya Siddiqui (Thakurain) etc everybody is straining a bit to deliver the dialogues in the authentic way and hence this is one an area that needs to be worked upon. The prolonged slow motions seqs are another thing can be done without except when completely inevitable to the script.

So far the Nautanki Films have done an Impressive Job; they have truly pushed boundaries of Daily Fiction with their newest offering. The production value of this NF Venture has raised the benchmark for TV shows. The show is a must watch for Director- Siddharth Sengupta's direction, the cinematography by Sanjay Memane-Anil Katke and the actors Ashish Sharma's and Sanaya Irani's performances. Rang Rasiya is sure to become a Blockbuster as long as they stick to the story, and not take away from it by adding unnecessary twists which would hamper the show than enhance its quality. The bar the RR Team has set is really high and if they can even come close to the visual and narrative storytelling perfection as in they managed to do in the week that passed by then half the battle is won.

spamdomain wishes the cast and crew of Rang Rasiya all the best!!!

Beintehaa, Rangrasiya offer fresh bouquet of love stories on television
TV has now taken a diversion from mythological tales and have taken to love stories.
Do you like love stories? An interesting bouquet of romantic sagas such as Doli Armaano Ki and Beintehaa - has hit the small screen.

Last year, the telly was inundated with mythological and historical shows, but recently TV channels have started beaming interesting love stories.

Here's a list of love stories that the viewers can relish:

Beintehaa: Revolving around Muslim families, Beintehaa, which went on air on December 30, 2013 on Colors, is a passionate love story of two people - Aaliya and Zain. It is about finding your soul mate in a place that you would have never imagined. The two protagonists have a love and hate relationship, but they end up marrying each other.

Rangrasiya: Rangrasiya is an intense love story between a village girl and a paramilitary force officer. The two meet under tragic circumstances and initially, they have only hatred for each other, but as the story will progress, they will fall in love with each other. It went on air on December 30, 2013, on Colors.

Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya: Jaipur based drama is the new offering from Zee TV and it talks about a young girl and her views on love and romance. Ready to hit the screen Monday, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya will talk about the process and the experience of falling in love.

Review And Analysis Of Colors' Rangrasiya And Beintehaa; Which One Is Better?

Posted by: Ankita
Updated: Monday, January 6, 2014, 14:55 [IST]
prev next

Recently, Colors has launched two new shows that have replaced the Bigg Boss 7 time slot, Rangrasiya and Beintehaa. But the question remains that which among these two shows is a better one as both were launched on the same day, both have promising actors and the story line too is a unique one. Here is the review and analysis of these two shows which will make it clear for the viewers for which one to watch.

Lets start with Beintehaa, it is a show where the typical muslim family is depicted and their culture and traditions is focused more on. The story would be in a way where love takes over hatred and results to the maha milan of both the male and female protagonists. People believe that the show is working over the simplicity and are trying their best to put forward the realistic feel among the audiences.

On the other hand is the show Rangrasiya which has casts like Sanaya Irani and Ashish Sharma who are already experienced in the field of acting. The story revolves around these central characters who are soon to be in love. But, the twist would lies in the nationalism and patriotism that the story unleashes.

In the serial there are two stories that are running hand in hand but what impresses the audience is that despite two stories there is no story that is over powering the other and is neither making it upsetting for the audiences.

With what is being seen by the audiences Rangrasiya is slowly taking over Beintehaa as the concept is a different one. Beintehaa here lacks as the Muslim community connection has already been shown in the serial Qubool Hai.

Rangrasiya would surely come out as one of the best works only if there is no unnecessary added tadka and masala. Sticking to the same story line will surely benefit them in the long run. What Beintehaa needs to do right now is put in more effort and bring in twists that shock the audiences and increases their viewership.

new one :))

Rangrasiya: Mauled, molested! Helpless and forlorn Paro saved by Rudra

Kesari smuggles money to Thakur Shekhawat via the two innocent girls Paro and Bindi, but as the girls are carrying the packages back they are kidnapped by Kesri's men. The hooligans throw Bindi off the auto and start to misbehave with Paro.

Rudra saves Paro

Rudra reaches the auto to save Paro from the clutches of Kesri's devils. In the struggle, Rudra manages to blow up the auto rickshaw and runs towards Paro with a huge gun in his hands. Seeing the aggressive sight in front of her Paro starts to recollect incidents from the past where she heard bullets ring out and fire flames destroy everything.

She slips into a faint just as Rudra reaches her to hold her in his arms. Seeing the gorgeous Paro lie dead to the world in his arms, Rudra carries her to safety. As he throws water on her face to revive her, Paro opens her eyes to see Rudra stand in front of her. He orders that the girls need to be sent back to their homes but the Police Inspector leading the force starts to question them. Upset at his subordinate's questioning stance, Rudra looks stunned when Bindi announces Paro's upcoming marriage, across the border.

Rudra walks off rattling the orders to drop the girls back to their house. Paro questions Bindi of her safety and her eyes chance to meet Rudra's in the rear view mirror. Unable to pull his eyes away Rudra stares at her as a butterfly once again comes closer to Paro. As Bindi looks astounded at the butterfly, Paro announces that it's her childhood mate, Rukhmani, who never leaves her alone.

Paro reaches Shekhawat's house

Paro reaches back home to the Thakurain and Bindi points out the blood seeping from her clothes. It's not Paro who has been hurt, but Rudra, who has been jostled by the hooligans. This reminds Paro of the number of times she was protected by the BSD man. She touches the blood on her shoulder and on the other hand Rudra sips on some alcohol and pours it on his wound.

Bindi tells the whole story to Shekhawat about the people stealing the bag. Thakurain looks on astounded as they realize that Paro's wedding dress has been ruined in the bargain. Hearing Bindi praise Rudra's efforts to the skies Shekhawat gets furious and asks her to shut up and never praise a BSD man again or else he will end her life. He tells them that BSD is a fire that is used to light a dead person's pyre. Saying this, he orders his man to drop the two girls home.

In Paro's house, God's manipulation has resulted in Paro getting to wear her mother's wedding dress at her wedding. Paro's aunt asks her about her childhood toy. She remembers that she had flung that doll at a small boy crying when she was a young child.

In the BSD office Rudra checks out the dead body of one hooligan and they are surprised to discover that the man is from across the border. Once again his subordinate insists that they need to check out Paro and Bindi. Calmly in a composed manner, Rudra asks him to take rest from his duty as he has let the main culprit escape.

Rudra and Paro inflamed by past thoughts

Rudra on the other hand sips away his drink as his colleague welcomes Rudra with the village food stuffs. Rudra remembers taking a plate of food for his dad and getting yelled at for the burnt chapatti. He vividly recollects telling him that he has been transferred to Birpur. His father spews venom as he says that he remembers Ranavat from the village. He tells his son that Rudra's eyes are like Ranavat and the only way he can forget his wife's infidelity is if Rudra pulls his own eyes out of their sockets.

The words rattled by his handicapped father, saying that beautiful women belong to no one, and are capable of dumping their families anytime, rings out loudly in Rudra's ears.

On the other hand Paro is plagues by scary thoughts of flaming fires and bullets ringing out as she sleeps. She sees a furious and aggressive Rudra rush to crush the hooligans as the nightmare jerks her awake. She remembers Rudra's frowning face clearly as her dream ends!

Is Rajasthan a romantic backdrop for telly serials?
A still from the show Rangrasiya
Are you a sucker for love stories? Do you like a dose of telly romance in the evenings before retiring for the day? If so, then the coming weeks might find you glued to to your television sets, as an interesting bouquet of romantic sagas such as has hit the small screen. Not only that, it looks like Rajasthan is a super backdrop for such stories, for two of the big soaps - Rang Rasiyaand Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya are set in Rajasthan.

Last year, television was inundated with mythological and historical shows, but recently TV channels have started showing a revived interest in airing love stories.

Rang Rasiya, set in Rajasthan, and shot in some of the breathtakingdesert locations, it is the love story of a village girl and a paramilitary officer. The two meet under tragic circumstances and initially, they hate each other, but as the story will progress, they will fall in love. As Ashish Sharma, the lead actor, also from Jaipur, had told us, "Rajasthan is an integral part of the narrative. The whole conflict happens across the border. It's a love story of Rudra and Parvati. The way serial has been conceptualized, written and shot, and most importantly the locations, it will definitely set up a new era for television shows." Yet another Rajasthan based romantic serial is Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, which is set right here in Jaipur. It is about a girl and her views on love and romance, and this serial will see the experience of falling in love being explored. Shot in parts of Mandore Garden, Mehrangarh Fort and other parts of Jodhpur and Jaipur, Rajan Shahi, producer, had told us then that, "We shot some portions in Jaipur for two days, then we did a few sequences in Jodhpur, and market scenes with the Mehrangarh Fort in the backdrop. This show is set in Jaipur, but we needed to keep the feel universal, and Rajasthan has helped us achieve that."

There's also Beintehaa, the love story of Aaliya and Zain. It is about finding your soulmate in a place that you would have never imagined. The two have a love-hate relationship, but they end up marrying each other. Then there's Doli Armaano Ki. The story of a girl's arranged marriage, and her dreams and expectations from her husband who is an antithesis of her ideal man. With all this, looks like Rajasthan is a hot location when it comes to shooting romantic serials.

I actually expected RR team to cast some unknown actor 4 paro's husband!! What was d need to cast VISHAL GANDHI!! He is quite a well known actor!! Will feel v bad when he will get killed!! No offense to d others!! But I also liked the chemistry between paro and varun!! Varun seems to be a nice guy unlike hi mama!! I dont think he knows anything about d Guns!! If some unknown actor wud hv been in d place of Vishal, I wud not have felt so bad for him or Paro!! I wud be happy 4 PaRud!! 😔 😔 😔 😔
