hey me back sorry for delay huh !!

Taking deep breaths, she couldn't bring herself to open her eyes to see "who" the chest belonged to that she had been so cosily snuggling up to.

Then she heard the words "hello sunshine" and her eyes flew open. There on the chaise lying infront of her with just his shorts on and a cocky smile was Shaan Singhania!

Khanak stared at Shaan with shock and horror written all over her face. This, whatever this was did not happen, could not have happened. She was starting to feel light headed and the bloody pounding in her head was only getting worse. And then her eyes widened as events from the previous night started coming back to her. Drinking, dancing, being in Shaan's arms, flirting with him, oh my god the pool...THE POOL, asking to be kissed, the make out session Khanak felt her face going red. She wanted the earth to open up and swallow her whole. She couldn't look directly at Shaan. She stole a look in his direction and saw him staring up at her with a big knowing grin on his face. Still lying on the chaise with his hands behind his head acting as if waking up in the middle of a beach was a normal morning occurrence for him.

Khanak couldn't talk to him right now. She grabbed her shirt and didn't say a word as she raced away from him back to the villa. If there was a god then this would all just be a bad bad dream and she's be waking up soon. But if the nauseating pounding in her head was any indication this was no bad dream...this unfortunately was her freakin life!

Shaan stared after Khanak as she raced away from him. Shaking his head he couldn't help but smile. Life sure was never dull when Khanak was around. He had come to some realizations last night, he was very attracted to Khanak and he knew she felt the same attraction drunk or not. He had developed feelings for her and he wanted to see where those feelings would take them. But seeing Ms. Stubborn Ahluwalia race away from him he had a feeling that she wasn't going to be making this easy for either one of them. Shaan threw on his shirt and headed back to the Villa.

Khanak raced inside and barely made it to the bathroom before she threw up. Why did she drink so much, why? She washed her face and took 2 advils and then stumbled into her bedroom. This is what death feels like she thought to herself. Her stupidity had not only been the cause of the worst hangover in the history of hangovers but also the reason for the most embarrassing event of her life. She needed to find a way to never see Shaan Singhania again, but since they would be working together for 6 months not seeing him wasn't a possibility. She had thrown herself at him, hell she had made out with him. He was never going to let her live this down. She knew that if Shaan hasn't stopped she wouldn't have stopped him, as she remembered the feel of his hands on her she felts goosebumps. Khanak rolled over and closed her eyes willing herself not to think and feel and just to go to sleep.

Shaan and the cousins sat at the patio table on the deck having a late brunch. It had been a late start to the day for everyone. No one had heard a sound out of Khanak's room and assumed she'd be sleeping till late. Shaan was pretty sure Khanak had one hell of a hangover. The days activities were being planned out when Khanak walked out on to the deck. She heard the loud chatter and cringed. The drums beating in her head had not calmed down. First person she made eye contact was none other then Shaan, she quickly looked away and walked to the chair furthest from him at the table.

"Di, I love your romper" Riya squealed. Khanak winced, "thanks "she said looking down at her magenta sleeveless cotton romper. Khanak poured herself some coffee and grabbed a piece of toast. Slowly taking a bite. The chatter around her continued grating on her nerves. "Di. where were you last night?" Priya asked. "I met a cute boy I wanted you to meet him." "Priya please don't yell into my ear" Khanak said through clenched teeth. Priya frowned, "sorry di, but I wasn't screaming though." Khanak heard a muffled laugh and then a cough. She didn't need to look to know who that was coming from. "No Priya, I'm sorry it's just that i have a blinding headache so if we could just tone it down a tiny bit that would be great." "Okay" Priya said whispering. "I'm not surprised di you have a headache" arhan said as he stuffed food into his mouth. "You drank like a fish last night." Khanak glared at him and heard yet another muffled laugh coming from the other end of the table. I hate my life Khanak thought to herself miserably.

Khanak had come up with a plan. She had decided to avoid Shaan while they were in Goa which would be easy if she never left her group of cousins. Then her and Shaan wouldn't see eachother for 4 days because Shaan was going straight to Mumbai and Khanak was stopping in Chandigarh first for a few days. In those few days apart both Shaan and Khanak could forget that last night even happened. Yes, that would be for the best. Once in Mumbai she would keep the relationship strictly professional. The more she thought about it the more convinced she was that she wouldn't have to face with had happened last night.

Shaan watched Khanak as she took a bite of her toast, by her actions so far he could tell that she was avoiding him and most likely would pretend that last night didn't happen. Shaan looked at Khanak and smiled smugly to himself. I don't think so Khanak he thought to himself. I will not let you forget about last night and if I have my way there will be a repeat of last night very very soon.

As Khanak got up to leave she heard Shaan call her name. She should have know he wouldn't let her off so easily. "Yes?' she said turning around to face him. "Are you ready to go?" he asked. Khanak stared at him with a blank expression. "Go where?" she asked. "We have an appointment with Issac Silva in 30 mins. Remember we scheduled it last night. I'm surprised that you don't remember since it was scheduled before, what was it arhan had said. Oh yes you started drinking like a fish." "I guess the other events of last night took precedence over everything else" he said softly so only she could hear. Khanak felt her face burning up. She glared at Shaan, "I remember the meeting" she heard herself say, even though she had not remembered. "I'll be ready in 10 minutes. I'll meet you by your car." Then she stormed off.

Khanak saw the Shaan was already in his car so she quickly got into the passenger side and took out her ipod and headphones and put them on pretending to turn them on. Shaan looked at Khanak and chuckled. "I thought when a person has a blinding headache the last thing they want is blaring music in their ears" he said out loud. "But hey, what do I know." Khanak felt like screaming...Shaan had an answer for everything. She pretended she didn't hear him and closed her eyes. Shaan smiled happily, teasing Khanak had become one of his favourite pastimes. She just made it so easy.

They had just gotten to Issac's place when Shaan's phone rang he excused himself to go take the call. He came back a few minutes later and the 3 of them went over the contract details and looked at some more of a Issac's work. At the end of the meeting Shaan told Issac that he would have his assistant send him a finalized contract for him to sign. As the three stepped outside Issac asked them if they had a good time at the party and if they left early because he hadn't seen the two of them again last night. Shaan and Khanak both looked at each other and Khanak thought she saw a flicker of something in Shaan's eyes. She mumbled something about a great party and quickly left.

They got into the car and drove in silence for a few minutes before Shaan finally broke the silence. "How long are you going to pretend last night didn't happen?" Khanak closed her eyes and then opened them slowly and said "I was drunk, very drunk I didn't know what I was doing or saying." Actually Khanak I disagree, last night I think you finally knew what you were doing and saying." "So fine last night you were drunk. What about all the other times" he asked as he pulled the car up to a vacant beach. "Why are we stopping Shaan?" Khanak asked in a panic. "I want to go home." "Khanak you didn't answer me" Shaan said looking as her. "What about the other times?" "Are you seriously telling me that you don't think there's anything between us, because if you believe that then you kidding yourself." "I don't want to hear anymore" Khanak said as she got out of the car and slammed the car door shut. Shaan got out and walked around to stand infront of her. "There's something happening here, I know it and if you let yourself you would know it too. I don't know what it is and if anything will come of it but I do know we have this amazing chemistry and I want to give this a chance." Khanak looked up at Shaan. "I think you're reading too much into this" she pleaded. "We are so different from eachother and we fight like cats and dogs. How can we even contemplate getting into a relationship?" Shaan stared at her for a moment and then roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. "What are you scared of Khanak? Seriously ask yourself that...are you scared that I'm actually right and there is something between us? Something that you've been denying yourself." "Do you ever wonder why you melt into my arms the second I kiss you. I don't think you're the type of girl that goes around just kissing any random guy then why would you keep letting me do it?" "Shaan, let go" Khanak said feeling tears forming in her eyes. Shaan seeing the tears released Khanak's arm and pushed his hand through his hair. "I'm sorry Khanak" he said gruffly and then took his thumb and wiped her tears and then taking both hands he cupped her face and leaned his forehead against hers. " I'm going back to Mumbai on the next flight out today." Khanak pushed away from him surprised. "There's a problem with an important project and I'm needed back to take care of it. I had wanted to wait to talk to you about all this, let you figure things out but now that I'm leaving so I can't wait." "There's something happening between us and I want us to see where it will go. I'm not saying let's get married. I'm just saying that I don't want to have any regrets or what ifs and I think we owe it to ourselves to see if this leads anywhere. " "But the ball is in your court now. You know how I feel now it's up to you to decide if you want this too. When you come to Mumbai in 5 days I want an answer." "If you haven't decided by then then I will take your answer to be a no and I will never discuss it again." "Shaan please you don't mean this, you're mistaking lust for something else.' Khanak looked into Shaan's eyes and took a step back, they were burning up with rage and something else, was that pain she saw in his eyes. " Khanak I'm not an idiot and neither am I some teenager that doesn't know the difference between lust and something more!" Shaan took a deep breath and looked back at Khanak. "I've decided what I want so now you have 5 days to decide what you want." With that he opened the passenger side of his car door. Khanak stared at him shocked by everything he had said. She opened her mouth to say something but then shut it and got into the car. They drove in silence.

No one was home when they got back and Shaan ran up to his room to pack up his stuff. Khanak made her way back to the deck and stared out aimlessly at the beach infront of her. What was she going to do. She felt him behind her before she saw him. "I'm going" he said softly. Khanak felt her eyes fill up with tears. Why was she crying she asked herself angrily. She quickly wiped her tears and looked back at him giving him an overly bright smile. "Have a safe trip home" she said in a cheerful voice.

Shaan looked at her, his beautiful brown eyes staring at her intently, questioning eyes, eyes that seemed to look right into her soul. Khanak looked away.

Shaan walked over to her and turned her to face him lifting her face up he gave her a soft kiss on the lips. "Bye Khanak" he said softly. And then he was gone.

After Shaan left, Khanak tried not to think about what he had said. She knew her answer already it was going to be a NO. Fine they had chemistry, fine there were sparks, fine she melted at his touch, fine she got a lump in her throat everytime she thought about him walking away from her. But these were not reasons to start a relationship. They were too different from eachother. Plus they were going to be working closely together it would just be too awkward especially if it didn't work out. She knew her father was pretty open minded but the second he found out her and Shaan were even thinking about pursuing a relationship and living in the same house he would be pushing them to a mandip with Mohan uncle right behind them. Even if the living arrangements had been their idea to begin with. And Khanak knew she was not ready for marriage yet. "But you might be ready for love" said the little voice in her head. Khanak pushed that voice aside. She threw herself into having a good times with her cousins, laughing, teasing but sometimes she would feel the laughter turning into tears. She just wanted this numbness that had taken over her heart since Shaan left to be gone. She wanted things back to normal, where they fought but atleast they saw eachother, atleast that way she didn't have "this" whatever "this" was hanging over her. Shaan hadn't even called when he got to Mumbai she had to have arhan send him a text making sure he was okay. Not that she cared she told herself over and over again. By this time Khanak had left Goa and was back in Chandigarh. Her cousins had started noticing the change in her. "Is everything okay di?" they would ask. "You don't seem like yourself." "Everything is fine" she would answer with an overly bright smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

By the 3rd day in Chandigarh her melancholy had turned to anger. How dare thoughts of him occupy so much of her time. How dare he give her me an ultimatum. What does he think he is. Just because he thinks there's something between us doesn't mean I need to think there is. Everything was fine until he started reading too much into things. But the anger soon passed when she watching Shefali's wedding video had seen him in it. She found herself rewinding to shots of him over and over again until she finally couldn't torture herself anymore.

Her last day in Chandigarh she decided to call the person who knew her best, the one that always told her the truth even if she didn't want to always hear it. Her best friend Aria. They'd been friends since grade 1 through thick and thin. She picked up the phone and dialed knowing it was 3 am and Aria was probably sleeping. "Hello?" a groggy voice answered on the other end and strong as nails, never say die Khanak Ahluwalia burst into tears. "Hello, hello?" came a more awake Aria's voice. More tears and then Khanak whispered Aria's name. "Khanak?" Aria said into the phone. khanak "what's wrong?' she asked in a panic. "Are you hurt, please tell me what's wrong." When she didn't get an answer Aria said "I'm coming right now on the next flight out." Khanak paused and tried to stop crying. "Ari you can't come here, it would take too long and by the time you get here my 5 days will already be up and I would have had to have given him an answer already." Sniff, Sniff Aria heard. What?! Ari asked in a confused voice. "Sweetie I don't understand what you're saying. Give who an answer about what in 5 days?" And Khanak promptly burst into tears again. Aria was now very confused and worried. This was not like her Khanak. She waited patiently and finally Khanak started talking, telling her everything.

Once Khanak stopped talking there was silence."Aria..?" she said hesitantly. "You are so stupid" Aria practically yelled into the phone. "I can't believe you were about to ruin your chance with a great guy all because of your stubbornness" she yelled into the phone. "Great guy you haven't even met him" Khanak yelled back. "Oh I know he's a great guy. Khanak if he wanted he could have taken full advantage of you that night in the pool but he didn't." "Besides any guy that puts up with your attitude and tells you like it is has to be a good guy. He's not like your usual spineless interests. "Spineless...excuse me Aria but"...Aria cut her off. "Khanak Ahluwalia if you screw this up I'm going to kill you. You obviously like him. I can tell just by the way you're acting. Everything you've told me shows you two are definitely attracted to eachother so now go and find out if this attraction is going to lead somewhere." Khanak listened to Aria in silence. "Tell me without thinking about it or analizing it, do you miss him?" "Don't think just tell me what you feel. " Yes Khanak said finally...a lot she said more softly. "Do you think about him"..."yes again, day and night." "Do you imagine yourself in his arms again?" "Silence...Khanak???! Do you?" Yes damnit, why are you asking such difficult questions?" Khanak yelled. "Khanak these aren't hard questions the hard questions are the ones you need to ask yourself like if you don't pursue this, will you wonder always what could have been, will you regret your decision?". Khanak listened in silence.

"Okay enough adivce from Dr. Aria Gupta I must get back to my beauty sleep. That is if I actually can because as of now I'm going to be dreaming about a double wedding." "Double wedding?" Khanak asked. "Yeah me and you." Aria answered. "Oh Shut Up! There is going to be no wedding" Khanak answered quickly. "Fine, Fine call me when you get to Mumbai so I can talk to this boyfriend of yours." "Khanak Gupta he is not my boyfriend!" But Aria had already hung up by then.

That night Khanak didn't sleep, as she thought more and more about seeing Shaan her stomach knotted tighter and tighter. She knew what her answer was going to be. As soon as she stopped thinking with her head and started feeling with her heart she knew what her answer to Shaan would be. But now she needed to get through the night because the sooner the night ended the sooner she could be with Shaan again.

part 12 ( guys if u see SHEFALI here it's nt shefali it's LAVANYA . :)

Khanak nervously looked around as she walked into the arrivals area of the Mumbai airport. She couldn't believe she'd be seeing Shaan soon. Stay calm, cool and collected Khanak, she kept repeating to herself as she casually glanced around looking for his face in the crowd. "Khanak," she heard someone yell. Khanak turned around and saw Shaan's sister Rashi waving at her and coming towards her. She looked past Rashi but didn't see anyone else with her. Khanak felt disappointment wash over her. He didn't even come to receive me from the airport she thought to herself. Here I am getting nervous and worked up about seeing him and he doesn't even come to get me. She didn't care she told herself stubbornly as she straightened her shoulders and pasted a smile on her face. "Hi Rashi" she said as she made her way over to her, giving her a hug. "I hope you haven't been waiting long" Rashi said. "Mumbai traffic is horrible. Took me forever to get here." "No I just got here myself" Khanak said with a smile. Rashi kept up a steady conversation as they walked to the car. Khanak tried to pay attention but her mind kept wandering to why Shaan didn't come. Had he changed his mind about things she thought to herself. "Khanak did you hear me?" Rashi asked waving her hand infront of Khanak's face. "Huh? Khanak answered, Sorry what did you say?" "I was asking if you're hungry. Do you want to grab a bite to eat?" "No thanks I'm fine" Khanak answered. "We can stop somewhere if you're hungry though" Khanak said. "No I'm fine. I dropped by bhai's office this morning and we ended up ordering something in." "Actually that's when he asked me to pick you up. He had planned to come but he's been extremely busy with some project and last night he didn't even come home from the office. He ended up working all night." Poor Shaan, Khanak thought to herself as she silently chastised herself for jumping to conclusions But now that she knew why he hadn't come she instantly felt better. She'd see him soon, very soon she thought to herself.

When they pulled up to the Singhania mansion Khanak was blown away. It was huge and beautifully built. She walked in and was equally impressed by the elegant interior design. "Let me show you your room" Rashi said and took her up to a huge bedroom that was decorated in a warm neutral colors and contemporary style furniture. Khanak instantly felt at home. "Make yourself comfortable, if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Consider this your home too." Rashi said with a smile. "Thanks" Khanak replied smiling back at Rashi.

"I think I'll unpack and make a few phone calls" Khanak said to Rashi as she started opening up her suitcase. "Sure no problem" Rashi replied. "Let me know if you want to go check out the office." You can get yourself acquainted with some of the people you'll be working with and meet Shaan bhai too" Khanak felt her heart skip a beat, that would be great she answered.

Khanak called home to Chandigarh letting everyone know that she had made it to Mumbai fine and that she was settling in well. After getting off the phone Khanak texted some friends that lived in Mumbai to let them know she was in Mumbai and would be staying for a while. Some texted back right away wanting to get together. She also hurriedly unpacked her stuff and then went down to find Rashi. Rashi insisted that they eat lunch before they headed to the office. Khanak pushed around her food on her plate, too nervous to even think about food.

Khanak felt butterflies in the pit of her stomach throughout the drive. As they approached the building Khanak was blown away by the sheer size of it. Ahluwalia Developers was a large company but this was massive. "This is Sinhgania Industries?' Khanak asked. "Yup, our whole operation works out of this building from production to upper level management. That's why its so large. Shaan bhai wants to access any area of the business when ever he wants so that's why he has this set up." "Impressive" Khanak said as they took the elevator to Shaan's floor. Rashi walked in and introduced Khanak to a few people. As they approached Shaan's office his assistant stopped them and told them Shaan was in a closed door meeting and she didn't know how long he would be. As Rashi thanked her she missed the disappointed look on Khanak's face.

Rashi showed Khanak her office and introduced her to a few more poeple. I know you've been to Mumbai before but you probably don't know about the local popular hangouts so since Shaan bhai is busy why don't we leave and I can show you some of the hot spots in our city. "Sure" Khanak agreed half-heartedly.

The two spent the rest of the afternoon out with Rashi getting Khanak oriented with the City. Exhausted they decided to stop off at a popular coffee bar. Rashi went to go get their coffees from the bar when Khanak's phone rang. Looking at the display she saw that it was Shaan. Instantly she felt butterflies in her stomach. Taking a deep breath she answered the phone "Hello" Pause...Then she heard a deep sexy voice say "Hi Khanak." Khanak smiled to herself. "How are you doing" he asked. "Good, Rashi's showing me around." I heard you were in the office and I missed you." "Yeah we dropped by, Rashi introduced me to some people and showed me my office. Khanak answered. "Did you like it?" Shaan asked. "Yes, very nice" she answered back. "I'm sorry I wasn't at the airport to pick you up" "That's okay" Khanak said softly. "That's okay? Now that's not the Khanak I know." he said with a chuckle. "The Khanak I know would have told me off for putting anything before her, especially work." "Well then you don't know me at all" Khanak answered back. "Rashi told me how busy you're been with this project. I understand how it gets with work but you shouldn't be sleeping in your office. You should get some rest." "Khanak if I didn't know better I would think you were worried about me" he said huskily. "You're a big boy, why would I worry about you" she snapped annoyed by his teasing. Shaan laughed. Silence from Khanak. "Okay, Okay I just called to tell you I'll be home tonight. Things have been finalized with this project and I'm going to be leaving the office in an hour. Will you be home?" he asked. Khanak looked up as Rashi walked over with the coffee. "Maybe!' she answered and hung up the phone.

Shaan shook his head and smiled to himself as he hung up the phone. Some things never change like Miss Khanak Ahluwalia's gussa! He quickly packed up his stuff he couldn't wait to see her. The last five days had been extremely hectic but he had found himself thinking of Khanak often. Her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile her feistiness. He had missed everything about her especially her gussa because he knew exactly how to turn the anger in her eyes to passion. Tonight he'd hopefully get the answer he wanted from her.

Khanak drank her hot coffee as fast as she could. She wanted to get home before Shaan did and freshen up. But for some reason Rashi was taking her sweet time. Finally Khanak couldn't take it anymore. "Shall we get going, I'm suddenly feeling exhausted she said.. Rashi agreed. They got back home and Rashi invited her to a party that evening. Khanak declined. She was not leaving the house today. She wasn't going to miss the opportunity to see Shaan again. She raced into her room and grabbed a royal blue wraparound silk dress. It was knee length and sleeveless and a small crystal broach sat at the hip giving the appearance that it held the dress together. She took a quick shower and put on her favorite scented lotion and then the dress. She left her hair down and wore her diamond studs leaving her neck completely bare.

Rashi has left her a note while she was in the shower and said she'd be home late and would see her in the morning and that if she needed anything to ask Shaan The note also said Shaan was home now. Oh my god she thought as the flutters started. Khanak started pacing back and forth in her room she couldn't bring herself to go outside. I'm over dressed she thought to herself. He's going to think I'm trying to impress him. Which I'm not! Stop being silly you're an Khanak Ahluwalia you don't care what anyone thinks. You dressed up for yourself. The butterflies in her stomach were going crazy. No, I'm going to change she said to herself. She had just opened her armoire when she heard a knock on her door. She stared at the door with horror. Willing herself to move to it. Another knock and then she heard Shaan call her name. Taking a deep breath Khanak opened the door and came face to face with Shaan. Shaan was leaning against the doorjamb wearing a black button up shirt untucked with dark blue jeans giving her a beautiful dimpled smile. He straightened and looked her slowly up and down. "WOW" he said appreciatively. Khanak said nothing, just stared back at him feeling nervous and awkward. "So?" he said walking past her into her room. "Do you like your room? Do you have everything you need" "Yes I'm fine" Khanak answered finally finding her voice. "Thanks for asking." Shaan gave her an odd look..."Thanks for asking" Shaan repeated slowly. Why was Khanak being so formal he thought to himself. Khanak stared at him and started to panic, she couldn't do this. "Shaan I'm so tired, I think I'll go to bed." When he just looked at her she added "goodnight" in a cheerful voice. "See you in the morning" and then she stood by the bedroom room willing him to leave. Shaan looked at her, closed his eyes shook his head. He walked over to the door and slammed it shut! Khanak stared at him with shock for a moment and then quickly turned to walk away. "Not so fast" Shaan said as he pulled her backwards until she hit his chest. They stood with her back pressed against his chest. Shaan slowly moved his hand down to rest on her hip. "You smell so good" he said huskily into her neck. She closed her eyes and tried to calm her rapidly beating heart.

Then suddenly he pulled away and stood apart from her. "What's your decision?" Khanak he asked gruffily. Khanak gulped and didn't say anything. "Khanak it's been 5 days what's your decision?" Khanak closed her eyes and took a deep breath before turning towards him. "Shaan maybe we should talk about..." Shaan cut her off "Khanak WHAT IS YOUR DECISION" Shaan repeated emphaisizing every word. "But Shaan if you would just listen to me for a second." "Forget it "Shaan said roughly reaching for the doorknob. "I should have known" he said angirly.

"YES my answer is YES!" Shaan turned around slowly looking at her with questioning eyes. "Yes what?" he asked. "Yes, I'm attracted to you. Yes, I feel the chemistry too. Yes, I want to see where this goes. Yes, I'm willing to give us a chance!" "YES YES YES damnit!" Khanak yelled and then she turned around and leaned down onto a chair. She felt like she'd just run a marathon. Shaan smiled slowly and took the few steps it took to get to Khanak. He turned her around and lifted her face so that he could see her eyes. "Now was that so hard?" he asked in a teasing voice. "Yes!" Khanak whispered and then the two of them looked at eachother and burst out laughing. Khanak laughed and laughed. She felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She was free, she felt like dancing. She was still laughing when she looked at Shaan. Shaan was no longer laughing he was just looking at her. His eyes scorching her with the intensiy of their heat. Khanak stopped laughing as he pulled her to him and bent down and captured her lips with his own. The kiss started off sweet and gentle and then as Khanak opened her mouth and Shaan deepened the kiss it became anything but gentle. The intensity of it rocked both Khanak and Shaan. They were burning up as Shaan put his hands on Khanak's hips bringing her even closer to him. The kiss became reckless with each one feeding off the other. Shaan pulled away and kissed her neck, working his way to her ear. "I missed you" he said hoarsely as he trailed kisses along her throat. Khanak groaned. " I missed you too," she said pressing closer to him.

When they broke apart Khanak laid her head against Shaan's chest and wrapped her arms around his waist. Shaan pulled her close to him and kissed her forehead wrapping his arms around her back. They stood that way for a few minutes and then Khanak pulled away. Shaan reached for her again but she shook her head with a smile walking backwards from him. Shaan smirked at her and started to follow her when Khanak stopped him. Shaan we need to talk about a few things. "What things?" he asked reaching for her again and pulling her to him. "Shaan stop it seriously we need to discuss how we're going to hide our relationship from everyone." "Hide?" he asked absentmindly as he moved her hair to the other shoulder and nuzzled her neck. "Shaan, Khanak gasped please listen." "We can't broadcast that we're dating. Our dad's are going to think they've won and that we're getting married." "It'll just put too much pressure on us." Shaan released Khanak and looked at her. "I don't think so Khanak. I'm not hiding our relationship from anyone. We're grown adults, we're not going to sneak around like teenagers." "We're dating, our families will just need to live with it. As for the marriage thing, I think our fathers know by now that we can't be pressured to do anything we don't want to." "Especially your dad Ms. Stubborn Ahluwalia." "Shut-up" Khanak said hitting Shaan. "You should talk you're just as stubborn as me!" Shaan stared at her and rolled his eyes. "Khanak no one is as stubborn and bull headed as you. You could win a prize for the person least likely to ever back down." "You could..." "I GET IT" Khanak interupted pushing away from him. "Can we get back to the issue at hand now." "Yes" Shaan said as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and went back to kissing her neck, distracting her. "As I was saying Shaan continued slowly kissing up her neck to her ear. We're not hiding anything. We're grown ups and our families are going to be fine with this arrangement and if they aren't then too bad for them." "Hmm" Khanak said slowly trying to concentrate on what Shaan was saying. Shaan slowly took her earlobe in his mouth and tugged on it. "Do you agree" he asked as he slowly turned her around. Khanak looked up at him with a dazed look, and nodded. "Good" he said with a smile and then leaned down and kissed her.

Khanak was the first to pull away. "Mr. Singhania I think it's time for us to leave my room before you convince me of anything else. And by your actions I can see exactly what's on your mind." Shaan glanced at Khanak's bed and then gave her a smirk reaching for her again. But Khanak was better prepared this time. "I don't think so" she said as she opened the bedroom door and ran out. Shaan could hear her laughter as she ran down the stairs, looking down from the top of the stairs he saw Khanak look up at him and give him one of her breathtaking smiles. And then he remembered that voice in head, the Kuch to Hai voice that he had dismissed a few weeks ago. But now he admitted to himself yes Kuch to Hai and he was looking forward to finding out exactly what it was.
