Hayila .. I got 3 updates to read .. Loved it!

Again need to rush to office ... 11th night hain and no makeout .. Adi sab thik hain na ... din mein hi quota pura kar liya kya?

Now for the details ... I dont know what to say .. this Shaan is diff ... And Khanak knows very well how to get him to do what she wants, She knew she goes asking for his permission he is not going to leave her! And woh bhi uske pink tee mein ...

Anyways loved this jealous Khanak a lot ... brought out her possessive side for Shaan.

Ritu ka bhi kya timing hain ... I want to know her observation and reaction ... kuch na kuch sidey comment dono par maregi, which will have no asar on Shaan, but Khanak will be bothered a lot I guess. Shaan ko uska haath lagana not allowed till Ritu and her family is there ... curfew lag raha hain kya Shaan par?

Waiting for the next update.

BTW, 1 qq ... he sare scuncie nikal kar rakhta kahan hain ye Shaan, hidden secret corner of the room/house?

Khanak, bends and pushes on his knee, he grabs his laptop from the coffee table and logs on...

Holding on to her hand...

Ritu: This is SO cool!

Khanak: I don't think so! (giving Shaan a nasty look)

Ritu: You have no clue about the human body depicted through rare art... Sorry! (haughty)

Holding the whatever in her hand and admiring the multicolored lights reflecting off of it.

Shaan: I agree ... about the human body! (chuckles)

Ritu sets the artefact back on the table and walks towards the couch.

Khanak is wiggling her toes sandwiched between his feet.😆

Ritu: Are we GOING or not? (infuriated)

Khanak: Haan

Shaan: Nahi!

Ritu: Gujral, sorry invite tumhaare liye nahi tha!😃

She looks at Khanak curiously, as one of her legs is too far apart from the other.

She smiles but doesn't say anything

Khanak: Ritu...😭

Shaan: sorry Ritu Khanak cant go!

Ritu looks at Shaan's face, he is unfortunately not smiling.

Khanak: I cant go... 😭

Her friend seems to be agreeing, strangely...

Ritu is shocked at the lack of rebellion.

Khanak pulls her foot forcefully out of his grip and bends down to pick up the papers and such

This is not the Khanak she knows.

Shaan: Do you really have to shop?

Ritu: Nah! But I was bored watching the movie.

Shaan seems to think for a few minutes.

Shaan: Hmmm. You can play the latest Mario game I got.😃

For a brief second both their eyes sparkle and then they control it.

Ritu: Khanak, had to take care of things for Fa.

Khanak is off anyway, opening and shutting the chest of drawers, looking for something

Shaan: I am going off to work, I can only leave if you two promise to behave! (mocks)😉

Khanak turns around to look at him. He meets her eyes briefly and lets go😳

Ritu: Really?😳

Shaan: What do you mean?

Ritu: I mean ghar par DADI, AADA aur FA hain, you really think we can misbehave? (mocks)

He smiles

Ritu: Himmat hai to do chaar male s----rs ko lekar aao, then well show you some bad behavior, hai na Mystery?😆😆

Khanak: that's right! (giggles under her breath)

Shaan: Well... if I get the guys your friend can only look but not touch! (warns)😳

Ritu: Chalo theek hai😆

Khanak: Yep! Let them get here, then we'll see!😳

Dadi returns to hear the two girls giggling.

Dadi: khanak beta Aada tumhe pooch rahe hain.

Khanak: Oh!

Dadi walks inside, sees the mess on the rug.

Dadi: Shaan, you share this room with a lady now, learn to clean up beta!

Shaan: What if I told you she made the mess

Khanak turns around from the chest, is mortified

Dadi: I believe THAT Shaan!

Shakes her head

Ritu bends down and picks up some of the things. Khanak finds her handy accounting book, that was not too handy until a minute ago.

Dadi: Did you eat anything beta?

Khanak: Nahi, Dadi I am not hungry

Ritu: Dadi yeh bus apne khayaalon mein khoyi rehti hai, aise logon ko bhook nahi lagti.

Dadi: Achha yeh baat hai kya? (smiles fondly)

Ritu: Half an hour ago she told me she would find you and ask for permission to go to the Mall and I found her two minutes ago in THIS room!😳

Khanak thinks "Ritu! You are SO DEAD!"😳😳😭

Dadi: No mall beta! (firm)

Ritu: Who aapka pota keh chukka hai.

Shaan is on the phone, and packing his things in his bag

Dadi: Are you off to work?

He nods, Dadi looks at khanak

Khanak looks away

Dadi: Is she letting you go?

Shaan, holding the phone by his shoulder, hanging the bag on the other, grabbing all the other things from the rug

Shaan: I didn't ask her (setting the phone on mute)

Dadi shakes her head

Khanak is ready to leave the room

Ritu: Gujral, will you sleep elsewhere tonite? PLEEEZ

Shaan hangs up the phone

Checks his texts

Shaan: Kyon? (looking at his phone)😳

Khanak's face gains color rapidly😳

Ritu: I am her best friend and I lay my claim to her bed tonite!

Shaan bursts out laughing at the innuendo

Ritu punches him

Khanak rolls her eyes

Dadi shakes her head and gently taps Ritu on the head and leaves

Shaan: We could go sleep in another room😉

Looks at Khanak.

Ritu: HA HA, Very Funny! I meant only YOU! My friend will stay here!

Shaan: She will!😳

Part 165

Khanak had spent the entire evening with Fa and Aada. Ritu was helping sort through papers also. This was a multi purpose visit for Fa, one of his great Uncles had left property for all cousins on his side of the family at Kandivili.

It was not worth much, and there were 9 shares being made of it. It was going to require multiple trips to Kandivili and to the lawyer's office to make his claim. Ritu's Dad had helped a little when he visited Mumbai, since he was a lawyer.

The reason Sonali was gone until 8 was Fa had taken her with him to go visit Siddhi Vinayak. When Khanak had been in her room with Shaan Fa and Aada had woken up, since she was in her husband's room they thought it was impolite to disturb her, they had informed HL and took off. Sonali''' reluctantly ofcourse as she had hoped they were going to the Mall

When they returned Ritu and khanak helped sort through the various college forms and paperwork, and the property dispute papers. Time flew. They all mostly spoke in Gujarati, Khanak transalated the difficult words for her friend.

They had spread everything on the bed of the pistachio room.

Dadi sent snacks or something to drink every half hour. Sunil returned and Madz returned shortly. She did not make an appearance in the room but Sunil did, in his work clothes, without even taking his shoes off.

Aada had swiftly gotten out of bed, and grabbed his shirt, he was actually wearing his vest and working, like he usually does at home

Khanak watched how her Aada scrambled and hurried in order to become presentable. It bothered her. She wondered if it was because Gujrals were wealthy or if it was because her Aada felt the Mistrys were uneducated.

Sunil being the kind and gracious man he is, had actually held on to aada's arm stopping him from being quite so formal. Aada is immensely gratified.

Sunil: Did you go anywhere beta?

Khanak: Main aapse baat nahi kar sakti kyon ki mujhe yeh bhasha samajh mein nahi aati

Sunil laughs

Aada watches how his daughter is being indulged. Ritu is back on the texting war with some one.

Sunil: Kahin gaye the aap?

Khanak: Nahi!

SonalI: Uncle hum log Mall jaana chahte the par Di gayi nahi

Sunil: Really beta?

Taps Sonu's head fondly

Sonu glares at Khanak as if saying "Ab batao Di"

Khanak: Jee Dad, Shaan ne mana kar diya.

Sunil: He wouldn't drive you? (upset)

Khanak quickly jumps to her hubby's defense "Nahi, unhoney mujhe kahin bahar jaane se mana kiya hai"

Sunil looks at his DIL, there is a warm glow

He is happy for some reason

Sunil: Abhi kaha hai pretend VP?

Khanak smiles :At work!

Sunil shakes his head

Fa: Aap baithiye na

Sunil: Nahi I will have to go change. We are expecting friends for dinner, aap bhi milenge to khush hongey

Aada smiles, he is still standing

Sunil: Jab tak aap nahi baithenge main to jaaoonga nahi!

Folds his arms across his chest, and taps one foot, as if counting seconds...

Aada laughs "Chaliye baith gaya"

HL walks in with yet another tray

Sunil checks what is being brought

Sunil: Yaar chai to bilkul garam nahi hai (scolds)

HL feels it too

Sunil: Chai doosri lao, par snacks rakh do

HL walks away as Sunil yells "Khanak ke liye chai nahi beta, bus doodh ya juice"

Fa and Aada are reading some lawyer letters and notices

Sunil: Main kuch madad kar sakta hoon

Khanak holds her breath prays Fa should not blurt.

He doesn't

She lets her breath out

Her phone rings.

Shaan: Hey!

Khanak: Aap?

They are all looking at her

And they all pretend to look away the moment she notices the look on all faces

Ritu is on the phone now, getting off the bed

Sonali is curious, but cant follow Khanak as she gets off the bed too

Sunil, Fa and Ada start chatting

Shaan: Haan main!

Khanak: Kahiye.

He is blown away by those super polite Hindi words all the time

Shaan: Aaj raat ko kahan soyengi aap?😳
