Lovely post. And such an important point you have raised.

I am also disappointed that RBO is again going towards being a story abt Shaan, when it should be about Khanak.

Am just dreading that 'Rock On' thing! Just hope this track turns out to be different.

Nothing wrong in being a feminist. I consider myself one too... but for feminism, god knows where w women wud be today:)

In fact, one of the core reasons why I thought Khanak's presence was kinda lack-lustre in the 'introspection' sequence yesterday...not only was her 'support' to Shaan not particularly indicative of her trademark intelligence (something that we got a glimpse of, in the precap, though!), but also because, it is not just a question of the realisation of his dreams, but her quest too...

RBO has and shall always remain ShaNak's journey for us...

Hence, as I have always maintained, and you have so beautifully highlighted in your post, Khanak needs to have an independent 'action potential' parallel to Shaan!!

Shaan and Khanak need to grow individually first...only then, can they grow as ShaNak!!!😊

Khanak can still continue to be Shaan's support system, his 'inner voice' really!!

She did it beautifully during the 'Rock On' track...she will fulfill that role superlatively, again!!

It is a part of who she is...an essence of Khanak's fabric, in a sense...

But the core issue vis-a-vis Khanak is a step ahead...

Its about time now that her intellect is rewarded!!!

Her "Thankus" and "Pleejs" today, are a far cry from that lovely girl who gave that heart felt English speech in Pune!!

If Khanak had the ability to outshine a Natasha, who by conventional standards, would have been more "Shaan-like" than her...

The least the girl deserves as a testament to her sheer merit is a basic education!!!

As Shaan embarks on a new journey, let Khanak take her own 'steps' ahead...

Here's hoping for a wonderful ShaNak journey... in the complete sense of the term!

Correct wat about her?wat abt her dreams?bt does she have one is the BIGGER QUESTION??or she still plans to stay in the kitchen and cook!!since it took 8 months for Shantanu Khandelwal to cme to the terms that he rly needs to do smething abt his life..i guess another year for Khanak!!lol

Exactly-I was ready to wait patiently through Rock On for a Shaan growing up and finding his place in life while Khanak supported him, but now I would like them to grow individually and as a couple. In today's day and age this is what young couples strive after-finding their individual strengths and working towards them as well as progressing as a couple.

As you said, there is no reason for Khanak to not step ahead just because she is being Shaan's 'inner voice'-it IS a part of who she is.

In fact, in her own quest to find her forte or go after her dreams she will be able to understand Shaan even better and vice versa!

What you said about Natasha and 'Shaan-like', you took what I have always thought and put it out there!

guys I agree with you all but dont you think khanak wanted her husband to grow in life to achieve his dream and become responsible and I too want khanak to develope independently not become his support pillar and now I am confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Khanak had dreams and ambitions?That tho was never shown nor even mentioned!Correct me if I am wrong lol.

She as any other wife in telly world would support her husband I guess.I hope at least she joins something to improve her English.But I am sure that won't happen cos Khanak will remain KFD as long as RBO airs.

they would definitely take up khanaks education and all (I am hoping they would because they have always conidered our sincerfe possible views/requests)

dont worry 😊we shall ask for that also but let us give a free a hand to cvs now without demanding too much ..

let us see what they are trying to make out of shaan and appreciate them

they are really doing a good job ..we shall ask for that also dont worry have patience

hmm. well shaan only realized he wanted to be a singer halfway through the show lol. there was no indication of it before that. so why can't khanak's dreams be introduced now.

when shanak leave home and shaan starts with his work, that would be the perfect time for the CVs to show khanak doing something. no one is saying kay kal hi khanak ko lunch box pakra kar college/school bhej do. we mean, once after this track is in full swing and shaan has embarked on his career, then the CVs should definitely plan something for khanak as well. it may take weeks or even months but it should be on the cards.

Let's hope the CV's of RBO are really hatke then that they would change the characteristics of a female lead which stayed on for a year and hope RBO stays on for that long so that they can introduce Khanak's dreams and ambitions too!

lol! smitha i am not sure whether you are being sarcastic or serious but either way, i absolutely agree! 😊 we can make it happen but i am not sure how many are interested or willing. the RBO CVs actually are 'hatke' and generous. if they listened with regard to shaan, they will with khanak too. the question is whether we would ask for the same or not. gauging from some responses here, my guess is probably not.
