@bold: you hit the nail on the head there Doc D! I mentioned this in another post of mine, and it's the thing that grates on me the most.I don't really want to bring Rahul's character into this, as the guy gets enough disapproval from viewers (including myself) as it is - and i really feel bad for Manish - but i truly believe that to justify Rahul's existence in RBO, Shaan's character takes a beating time and time again! Some examples:1. Introduction of Shaan's friends: on the one hand he's pestering Khanak to say ILU because he needs to hear her say it, and on the other the guy completely loses his lid when she so much as mentions his past! He was quite mean to her with no good reason in my opinion. The build-up to Rahul's entry was too dramatic, and that too for such a lame reason! The CV's first mistake.2. MMS fiasco: how the creatives thought showing Shaan forgive Rahul for this was a good idea i do not know! But something tells me they knew they had made a mistake with Rahul's characterisation and were aware of his growing unpopularity. Perhap's they thought if they showed Shaan forgiving and accepting him, we would too. The CV's biggest mistake. The passive Shaan we got to see during the infidelity issue i feel was done for the same reasons. Personally, i was looking forward to an insecure Shaan, a guilty Shaan and a jealous Shaan, but alas it wasn't to be!Unlike Rahul's character, i don't think it's too late to resurrect Shaan's and the dining room scene in yesterday's episode is proof of that. Though their interaction was minimal, the way Shaan responded to the insult's thrown Khanak's way was enough to melt my heart, bless him!Oh and did i mention that i love KT for carrying off Shaan's character the way he has? Even when Shaan doesn't have a substantial scene or dialogues, the way this guy delivers is praiseworthy! šFor now i'm going to ride it out. As mentioned in my previous post, i'm putting my faith back into the CV's to deliver a strong storyline for our lead pair. I don't ever want them to come here and feel as though we don't appreciate all the hard work they put into the show, but at the same time think criticism like this is invaluable to them.CV's just so you know, our love for KT/YM, Shanak and RBO will not waver, but please work on the storyline... š³
