'The Second SR'Loved it!
Loved the comparison with the first SR-this was all about love and emotions vs the more physical aspect of the original SR.
Loved how there was no dialogue interplay but rather we hear the voice of Shaan's heart-what he feels and thinks.Liked the fact that it was Shaan's thoughts we heard because it kind of addressed all the issues that were raised up recently-his doubting Khanak, Khanak's insecurities etc.
Loved how he dresses her up in the Lal joda-the third time this woman wears a bridal dress. The first time she wore it ended in tragedy starting a new aspect of her life and the beginning of their hate, the second time she wore it ended in their forced marriage thus forging a bond that was unwanted on both sides but led them to finding something that only few people are lucky to find. This is the third time she wears it-the start of another journey for them? Love that will stay true and firm and absolute? Love that has suffered so much, seen so much, crossed so many hurdles...
The fact that he has gifted it to her is so symbolic-he has gifted her the life of a new suhagan once again. The colour of his love is now completely enveloping her. The putting on of the jewellery signified how it is not only these trinkets decorating her but his love, his possessiveness, his longing-these are the things that enhance her beauty.I loved the symbolism of it all!
Loved the voice of the man's love vs the boy's love.
KT and YM were wonderful in their respective roles!
KT showed perfectly the intensity of Shaan's love, the maturity of his love, the absolute focus of his being Khanak now. YM as Khanak with her blushings and innocence-it just reinforced the whole 'Suhaag raat' feel for me.Also all the times she closes her eyes and just lets herself feel. His love, this moment, their one-ness. Every insecurity is washed away.
And in the midst of it all, her running and hiding showed that while their love has grown, has become mature, the impulsiveness, childishness and playfulness remains.
What a journey ShaNak have had-a love that has transcended creed, caste and culture!
The whole sequence had no dialogues but KT-YM brought the feelings out completely. Anyone looking at them would think that here is a couple in love! They have the rare ability to convey it all without mouthing any lines.
Oh and YM looked gorgeous. Red is another of her definite colours!
