Hey Sonali 🤗 i agree with Bona, go for the day shift, night shifts aren't great, and your sleeping pattern wil get messed up.

Girls here is what I know about the day shift, since I have been an nursing assistant this very floor for like two years now.

Day shift- less experienced nurses, some of them have bullied me in the past. There are a few nice people I used to feel bad for nurses who chose my floor as their first job, especially on day shift. We are under new management yet again. ( Third manager in less than three years I have been there) Education and my manager will be available until 4 or 5pm( shift will be from 7am to 7:30pm, sometimes may have to stay a bit later.

Night Shift- some of the decent day nurses moved to nights, heard they work as a team I heard. There seems to be less headache on nights unless there is family issues or the patient is severely critical.

( 7pm to 7:30 am or later if needed) Less orders and less doctors around

Now either I ruin my sleeping cycle or embrace a challenge to become a decent player on the day shift seems like they need one lol. But am the one for them? Day shift would ideal for any other unit. This unit I am not so sure.

Sonali i see your dilemma, if you don't think you will get along with the day staff, go for the night shift, as you don't really need added stress and aggravation. Sorry for not being much help.😃
