8. Write a OS on Shanak date that was recently aired....

OS....After the boy steals the rose from Shaan's hand.....

The Servival-Kit

'Very funny Khanak..tsk..Uss ke parents kaha hai?....Unke bache ko control nahi kar sakte?' Shaan complained....

'Shantanu....Jab aap inki umar ke teh, kya apne masti nahi ki?' asked Khanak.....

'Nahi Khanak, kyon ke mein Mom Dad ke saat restaurant kabhi nai jatatah'

After saying this Shaan became quiet and thoughtful....Khanak wondered why he had suddenly stopped talking...He always did this whenever they touched on the subject of his childhood....After a few minutes he broke the silence. complaining that the food was taking too long arriving and signaled to the waiter...Shaan asked him to cancel their order, as they were leaving....

Khanak waited until they were in the car before she spoke up....

' Aap bhi na...Choti si baat par sub cancel kar diya....Aap ka mann nahi tah, par mujhe toh bhook lagi hai...Mana ke waha shoor tah....Par....'

' Buss Khanak!....Sahs toh lo....Hum kahi aur chalege....Jahaan koi bache nahi hoge' promised Shaan.....

'Bacho ki aadat daal legiye Shantanu. '

'Kyon!!...Kya tum sach mein?....' Shaan braked and the driver behind them horned....'Sorry!' Shaan waved and let the other driver pass, before he continued to drive....

Khanak nodded her head, ' Burthal!...' Shaan shot her a sideways glance which she ignored....

' Bache to har jaga hote hai.'

' Sab jagha nahi Khanak....Kuch restaurant mein bacho ko allowed nahi....Kyon ke wahaan madira serve karte hai'

' Shantanu gaari wapas legiye'

' Relax Khanak, hum madira nahi peyege....'

' Mein uss ke baat nahi karahi....Peache kuch howa hai....Woh gaari...Jo hamare aage nikli thi....Woh....'

Looking back Shaan saw the car he had given way to...It had come off the road and lay in a ditch....He turned his car back.....As they approached the other vehicle, he could see it had been hit from the back.....ShaNak walked towards the wreckage and Khanak whispered....'Shantanu woh hospi.....' But Shaan was already calling for help, as he looked into the drivers side....

The passenger side door was open and a women sat on the ground beside the car holding her stomach....She was heavyly pregnant.....Her eyes were closed and she appeared unconsious....Khanak kneeled on the ground and touched the woman's shoulder....

' Sunye, aap teek toh haina?....Tsk....Mein bhi kaise burthal hoon....Kya karoon?....Shantanu....'

Suddenly she and Shaan stopped and listened....They could both hear the unmistakable sound of a childs cry....Shaan opened the drivers door and the noise grew louder...Hearing this the women on the ground began to stir, opening her eyes and turning her heard towards the car....Khanak sensed what she was feeling and she tried to calm her....While at the same time she instructed Shaan to get the baby out of the car, since the baby-seat was closer to his side.....

Shaan was surprised at how easy it was to handle the infant....It clug to his outstretched hands and he felt he had a duty to protect this little life....His mother was relieved to see him and asked Shaan about her husband....Shaan said he had called the ambulance and her husband would be fine....The truth was he was unconsious, but breathing.....The drivers air-bag had failed to inflate....

She asked how long the ambulance would be....Shaan reassured her that it wouldn't take long....He carried the baby round to check on the driver, Shashank Malhortra....Seeing his fater, one year old Pawaan smiled and extended his hand.....

'Iss that you Papa buddy?' Shaan asked watching Pawaan closely and wondering if he should let him see his father in that state....But Pawaan was staring at Shashank's face, which showed minimium signs of the accident.....As he watched father and son....Shaan saw Shashank open his eyes....For a minute he just looked at Shaan and Pawaaan....Then he whispered....

' Meri patni....Prateeksha?....'

' Urrmm...She fine...I mean, woh....'

' Bachaaa?...'

' You mean this one?....Pawaan...Sorry...You mean you wife...Khanak, meri wife unke saat hain....Ambulance ko phone kar diya hai....'

Shaan stopped as he heard a womans moans from the other side of the car....

'Pateeksha???'...whispered Shashank....As Khanak walked round to their side....

' Shantanu, woh....Unko bohat dard horaha hai....Unka bacha....Heh bagawaan mein kya karoon?...Heme abhi hospital jana hoga!'

'Ambulance abhi aati hi hogi....Tum ja kar unke saat raho Khanak....'

'Par mein kya karoon Sha....' Khanak asked....

' Sunye, woh dard kab shoro huwa?' Shashank's voice cut through Khanak's nervous chatter....

'Matlab?....Abhi....' Khanak turned to speak to him....

' Kya abhi soro huwa??...'

' Haan...Par..'

' Toh phir bacha aane mein der hai'

' Aane mein?....Matlab....Huh!....'...Khanak eyes widened in horror and she rushed back to Prateeksha.....

' Khanak kya?....' Shaan looked at Shashank.....

Shashank took a croaking breath and answered....' Prateeksha almost full-term hai....Accident ki waja se....Bachaa abhi se hi....Shayad abhi der hai....Pawaaan ke waqt, duss gante lage teh...'

Shaan was dumstruck....Shashank's wife was in labour, he was severly hurt and was so calm about it....How did he do it?.....He was broken form his daydream, by Pawaan biting his thumb....

'Ooww!..'

'Usse bhook lagi hai....Seat par servival-kit hai....Us mein uske dood ki bottal hai...Dedo.'

As Pawaaan sucked on his bottle, Shaan lowered himself on the grown and sat cross-legged and made him comfortable....

'Servival kit?' Shaan asked ....

' Iss ke bena mein pagaal hojata....Iss mein woh sari cheeze hai, jiss ke bagar bache ke saat bahar jaane ka matlab hai suicide....I know bad joke....Considering mein iss halat mein hoon'

'You brave buddy....' Shaan said...

' Kyon?'

' Dor dor bache....Mein ek ka naam sunkar hi gabarata hoon'

' Mein bhi aisahi tah...'

'Really?...Toh phir tumne kya kiya?.'

' Comprimise....Hum dono ne decide kiya...Ek ya dor saal hamare liye, uss ke baad bache'

'Kya tumhare parents ne kuch kaha?'

'Haan, par they understood later....Woh sirf hameri khushi chate teh....'

Shaan thought perhaps he could spaek to Khanak about a comprimise too....

Just then they heard the sirens of the ambulance....In less than five minutes, ShaNak followed the two ambulances, with Pawaan in their car....As PraSha was taken care of, ShaNak took care of Pawaan, till their family arrived....Luckly they had the servival- kit for all his needs....Khanak was amazed at all the things needed for a baby...There was some much she had to learn....About childcare, not to mention pregnancy and labour....

'Tum itni chup kyon hoo?' They had arrived back home after leaving Pawaan with his grandparents....

'Mein yeh soch rahi tih ke, mujhe bohat kuch seekna hai...Kaise bache ki dekh bal karte hai, uss ka khana, peena....'

' Susu....Potti....Ahdhi hum pe....Ahdhi baatroom mein.' Shaan chuckled....

'Phir mazak...Jaaye mujhe aap see baat nahi karni...'

'Are....Khanak...Khanak...Suno na...I'm sorry...Mein janta hoon ke, aaj ye sub dekh kar tum pareshaan howi ho aur....'

' Shantanu mein abhi tayaar nahi hoon....Khush?....Nahi aap toh bhery, bhery, bhery happy hoge ye baat sunn kar...Heina?....'

' Khan-naak!....I know maine tohra....Nahi bohat zaida natak kiya tah....Par aaj Pawaan ko sambhal kar achaa laga.' He looked ernestly into Khanak eyes....'Khanak, jab se hamri shaadi howi hai, sub itna complicated raha hai...I just want some time....Tora waqt....Ek dor saal...Just tum aur mein...Phir.... ' Shaan leaned closer, so he could wrap his arms around Khanak and whipsered into Khanak's ear....' I promise....Tum, mein, aur hamare che bache...'

'Dhutt !....' they both smiled and Khanak blushed....' Teekhai aur tub tak hum Akshay Bhaa aur Khushboo Bhabhi ki madat karege....Aur isse hame parractis bhi mill jaaye gi....Haina?....'

Shaan smiled back at Khanak as he opend the front door of the Khandelwal home......
