Shaan: Yep! Looks like its all good now.

Walks over to the end of the table not before noticing what he wore……… tan trousers and a sky blue plain shirt, folded 1/3^rd of the way…… "Damn! I should have trailed him when Sooraj was alive, I could have bought some great clothes for Sooraj" "Tan suede shoes….."

Khanak: Can I have my PC back?

Shaan (amused) Ofcourse! (Lets go of the mouse and steps back, pulls the chair back for her)

She signals, she does not want to sit.

Shaan: Has Niv seen the updates?

Khanak: Yes! We've reviewed some……. The rest all afternoon today (professional, no nonsense)

Shaan: Great! I loved Certosa BTW……. Thanks for that. I will still have to get approvals for those spiral columns on both sides of the patio, but it looks good on paper.

Khanak(all the while just speaking into her PC monitor, her bangles ringing) :Thx

She makes an affected gesture of rubbing her nose…….. and tucking her hair back, her hand smells like him now………. Rubbed off the mouse………. "Did he JUST shower?"

Shaan: (leaning by the window and playing with the blind cord) What was the name of the high end one?

Something told her he was making conversation just cuz………… she was afraid he would start talking about "them"

Khanak: You should have been here the past couple days. (smiles sweetly at him)

Shaan just grins.

Nivedita and Nachiket walk in with the Guy1 and 2 from last week

Nach: Hey Khanak, Niv was telling me the graphics look great on all plans. Can you please show us San Marco and San Pietro ? The grand one.. whats the name?

Damn! She was right and so was HE!

A couple of other folks from design approval join in……. she talks, Niv talks……. She tries to shut down her unnecessary applications……. Including chat………. He is not on her list. They've never had to "chat"

Her bangles were making too much noise…… she starts to take them off under the table……. Blissfully unaware again of him seated next to her and getting curious about what she was doing……… one gold metal circle slides off her chiffon………… he reaches quickly and grabs it before it hits the marble floor.

Proffers it……… she takes it from his hand and returns him one of those ultra glorious smiles as a "thank you".

The VERY FIRST time, in a room full of people, when they are not even talking, when they are not fighting

When they are not at each other's throats………… supposed to be talking about work………. Time stands still.

Nachiket: shaan, have you asked Raza to get the designs out from the archive room for that Colaba mansion we built 4 years ago?

Khanak is genuinely feeling bad for him for the first time…… she doesn't want him to be lost for an answer………. That would mean he was paying HER attention
