yes rahul found out on the press conference day

he left the place without informing anyone

and khanak accepted the contract for him

she told him he'll have to face problems in any way he goes

as rahul wud have sued him if he had refused (as the burthal signed without reading the contract - the lead singer shantanu could not leave the contract)

then shan went over to rahul's place and faced him saying "tujhe tera pehla gaana free may diya" and "royalties bhi nahi loonga tujhse" "tu paisa bana le"

stuff like that

then when he reached home sunil asked him to start paying bills and contributing to the house expenses 🤣
