Saw the Mithai scene yesterday night and since then I have been longing to write this..Both have really come a long way together from where they met as strangers.Both are different individuals and their journey has been different though the destination was same...When I see them now ,just think the pain they had gone thru their journey makes me feel overwhelmed and love them more ...
Before they met:
Khanak was a bubbly girl of 20 for whom marriage to Suraj her childhood sweetheart meant everything ....Shaan was a brash guy of 24 but good at heart guy for whom his marriage to Natasha who was his love was everything..
When they met -They connected:
That day the met for first time ...For Khanak it was her happiest day in life ...her wedding and biggest moment she had always dreamed of ..For Shaan it was a frustrating day for him..he was away from his wedding preparations .. Shaan found himself helping this stranger whose free and bubbly self touched him somewhere.
When life happened - They felt their first emotions towards each other
Shaan - was shattered when due to his mistake though done unkowningly Suraj was killed..He was sad ,guilt ridden though not open about it .He was feeling bad for Khanak ..Khanak - Had lost all after getting it ...If yesterday she couldnot imagine a life without Suraj today she was facing it..And now she directed all her pain towards Shaan for that ...
When they made the choice - They married
Khanak made the choice to marry him coz she knew he may be careless but didnot deserve to die ...Shaan may have married to save his life but could not bring it on himself to divorce her ..he had even forgotten to sign the papers (It was Akshay's idea and he had tricked..Not that it matters now) ...That moment they thought they can go separate ways ....But were unaware of that were meant to be together ..
When destiny interfered - They became friends
Khanak's first attraction towards her husband during the unintended date(bhala ho driver ka jisne galat insaan ko khaat diya ) ...She shared her feelings with him and talked freely like never before ...Shaan despite of trying otherwise was subconsiously getting pulled towards his wife ..When Khanak left home to set him free ,he went back after her.Reason may be fake but emotions were real.
Shaan had started caring ,he could not think of eating when she was hungry ,he would go out in rain even though he hated it coz she was alone and scared somewhere ..He wanted to hurt that guy who sacared her ,dint like people bashing her .He took the initiative to get her into his room ..
Khanak - Blurts out that she loves the burthal husband of hers and wants to be together with him when talli ..Consious mind put a lot of hurdles like her past,his rishta with Tashu and surajs family for her to understand..But she doesnot like hetal saying hurting things to Shaan ,wants to learn english to make a place for her...eager to see him responsible ,loves to learn his favorite dishes and feels hurt when someone reminded her that she was temporary ...
They thought these feeling can be called friendship so thay named it so ...they knew where they were headed but were not ready to accept..
When they ackowledged - They became complete
What do you call it when you chori se look at the girl u call friend ?Search reasons to be around her and miss her? You start taking midnight lessons in enlish ,start loving gujrati vegterian food ? Love picking her up and use excuses for that ?when her crying makes u feel like u are biggest jerk? Seeing her upset makes u feel helpless ? defending her comes natural to you ? ...And you say I love Khanak when confessing to someone else ...Shaan ackowledged that he had changed and Khanak had sneaked in to make a place for herself in his heart ...she gave him love but she also completed him....
Khanak got worried when Shaan was late for english lessons ,nervous when he has his first presentation,wants him to need her as in share with her his work ,prays to God for his happiness coz in his happiness lies hers .. She cant stand seeing him engaged to another girl ?Cant imagine a life without him around ? Khanak ackowledged that she had somewhere come to love her Shaantanu and can never feel complete without him ...
Somwhere love had grow on both of them and caught them unaware ..With a turbulent past and so many people interefering to keep them apart,it took them time to ackowledge it openly but they did ...
Their backgrounds are two banks of river but their love is what brings it together..For Khanak the reaction of people around and their different outlooks in life may sometimes make her have doubts .Engrossed in troubles Shaan may forget whom to reach out to ...Both may get angry with each other ...But love is a permanent fixture it doesnot go away or decrease because of day to day incidents ...
Happiness,Pain,Anger,Coaxing ,Hatred,Love ,Anxiety,Shyness,Embarassment,Attraction,Passion and Love they have shared all of it together .They are still young and learning on the marriage front ...Different they maybe but were two pieces of same puzzle which made a complete picture ..So when I remember their journey there each moment together becomes special and a delight to watch ...It does the same for you right ?
