I dnt think the secret is anything to do with drugs, alcohol or anything...and it cannot be anyting to do with Shaan earning hard earned bucks with his singing because Shaan is known to be lazy in that....

It has to do with someone....because yesterday he stops at some word tht hints that he was referring to sme1...that he suddenly remembered sme1...Initially I thought it might be Natz and he remembers how she was beside him always but looks like its not Natz...

Hence, In my mind, it has to be a friend (gal or guy, doesnt matter) who died because of shaan...either shaan's carelessness, or while saving shaan or something....and shaan somehow feels he is responsible.....and if ur suspicions are right and for a second I need to think from ur perspective then the guitar might symbolize that friend and that might make him sing.....
