'Interesting! Tumne usse kiss karne ke baad interesting kaha!' Tashu rolled on the bed laughing.

'Tashu!' she threw a pillow at her, 'tujhe kya lagta maine apne aapko mentally kick nahi kiya after saying interesting to him ! interesting! UH!! Main mar kyun nahi gayi! Why didn't the earth crack open and take me in!' she put her face in her hands in embarrassment.

'I can't believe it, tunne kissiko second baar milne par kiss kiya, aur phir interesting kaha!'

'Tashu! You are being of no help what so ever!'

'I'm sorry it's just "interesting"...' she burst out laughing.

'UGH!' Khanak threw herself on the bed, and put the pillow over her head, 'main itni badi stupid hoon!'

Natasha patted Khanak's shoulder, 'kuch nahi hota, everybody is a little stupid, you are just a big one.'

Khanak threw the pillow at Natasha, which hit her squarely on the chest, to the satisfaction of Khanak.

'Ouch Khanak! Anyway, Toh ...'

'Phir kya? We kissed...'

'WHAT?! No no no no no, Shantanu, please tell me you are joking!'

Shantanu looked at Rohan, 'nope, no joke.'

'Shantanu! maine...' he took a deep breath to control his anger, 'maine kaha tha na...'

'ki Khanak aur Tashu best friends hai, haan yaad hai...'

'behene jaisi...'

Shantanu ignored Rohan's correction and continued, 'and you don't need to worry, I like her, but she is different, I'll stay away from now on...'

'different? How?'

Shantanu smiled, as he remembered the moments he spent with Khanak, 'I actually like her.' Shantanu picked up the glass of water lying in front of him and took a sip.

Rohan looked at his friend in disbelief, 'you like her, as in ...? The way I like Tashu?'

Shantanu spit the water he had sipped, 'NO! Not that way! Pagal ho gaya hai kya... um...' he took a moment to think it through, 'she... is ...different from other girls, she is confident, brave, fun', Rohan raised his eyebrows, 'and she ... she is just herself, you know?'

'No I don't know, I love her friend not her, you need to expound on that... and also if you don't "like" Khanak then how do you like her? You did kiss her.'

'tujhe samajh nahi aayega Rohan.'

'toh... samjha na Khanak!'

'kya samjhaon?'

'yeh hi, ke why did you kiss him? I mean... you just met him for the second time! Kissing a guy on the second date is so not you!'

'I don't know! I am attracted to him, i mean! It's insane!I have never felt this way!'

'Wow, I have never seen you like this!'

Khanak sighed in response.

Natasha smiled and patted Khanak's shoulder gently, ' hota hai, hota hai, achche acho ko hota hai...'

'kya?'

'pyaar.'

Khanak looked at her friend with astonishment, 'pyaar! Pagal ho gayi hai kya! Attraction pyaar nahi hota, i don't even know the guy! And plus, Rohan said he is my complete opposite.'

'toh? Opposites attract.'

'only in silly rom-coms! Plus opposites attract but after marriage opposites attack!'

'But in dreams and in love there are no impossibilities.'

'Touch, but the main difference between us is that i am looking for a serious relationship, and he is running away from them, as per your boyfriend who is also Shantanu's best friend since college, so I trust his judgement.'

'Rohan is just over- protective of you, because for him you are like the little sister he never had.'

Khanak smiled at Tashu's comment, she was right, Rohan was like the big brother Khanak never had, 'so? Nothing wrong with that!'

'achcha chad, yeh bata when are you asking him out?'

'who?'

'Shantanu!'

'Kya Rohan?!'

Rohan followed Shantanu to his room, 'how do you like Khanak?'

Shantanu looked at his friend and smiled, ' I like her as a person, she is a good person, and yes I am attracted towards her, but, but i will try and not hit on her.'

'oh I am glad that you won't seduce her but why?'

'Because she is a good person! Breaking the heart of a person who wants you for your money, or is not that nice to begin with is easy, but breaking the heart of a person who is good is just... wrong. Plus if she falls for me she will love me, you know the '' unconditional, i will love you forever'' wala pyaar.'

'toh, let me get this straight... tu usse date nahi karna chahata because you don't want to hurt her, you care for her... OMG!'

'mom ki nakal utarna band kar, and get out of my room, I have to change.'

'no, no , you really like Khanak, this is epic, you my friend are falling for her!'

'what?! When did I say that!'

'you didn't but caring for someone is the first step to every relationship, and you are attracted to her so...'

'Rohan, has someone told you that you are a woman in disguise of a man. Now seriously mere aur Khanak ke relationship ke sapne dekhna band kar, and go, as it is tujhe Tashu ko horse riding lessons nahi dene the?'

'crap Tashu! Thanks but. This is not over.'

'Whatever!'

'oh we will see!'

Shantanu looked at his friend and smiled, ' tu pagal ho gaya hai!'

'Tashu have gone MAD! Why will I ask him on a date?!'

'because you like him Khanak!' Tashu put her hands on her waist in frustration.

'I want...'

'a serious relationship?'

'yes'

'oh god Khanak! Why do you have to be so practical, take a chance! Take a chance on Shantanu, with Shantanu! Even if it doesn't work out you at least won't have a 'what if?' in your life!'

Khanak sighed, as she thought about it, sitting on the chair, ' you are right... but I am not sure... I mean ...'

'Just take a deep breath and jump! That's what you tell me all the time!'

Khanak smiled, 'take a deep breath and jump...'

'Shantanu, take a deep breath and jump! Tashu always says, we should take chances, you should too... Khanak is ...'

'Khanak is great, but no. So please aap mere kamre se jaye, and let me have some peace of mind!'

'Shantanu why are you always so scared to be in a relationship! Tere commitment phobia ka reason bhi nahi hai!'

Shantanu sighed, 'Rohan please, i just want to be friends with her, i want to be her friend not her boyfriend! Now please jaa mere baap!' he clasped his hands together, infront of rohan's face.

'fine, but you might regret not going for it!'

'I won't ab jaa!'

'fine jaa raha hoon!'

Shantanu closed the door behind Rohan and breathed a sigh of relief, 'iss kuch batana equals mom ko kuch batana! Saare matchmakers mujhe hi milne the!'

He went to the closet and picked out the first sweater he laid his hands on and put it on before going into the balcony. He shivered a little as a particularly cold wind blew into him. He looked around the landscape, it was colder than yesterday, the warm sun was absent and cold winds blew in every ten minute interval.

He looked around and saw Rohan and a girl, Tashu, he guessed moving towards the stables, 'Khanak abhi akeli hogi... I should go and meet her...' a playful smile spread across his face as he bolted inside his room and out the door to find Khanak.

Khanak wrapped her arms around her as she sat on the patio, overlooking the garden, and the stables.

'Here you go mademoiselle.'

Khanak looked at the hot tempting coffee in front of her and the to the person who brought it, 'Shan! I mean Shantanu! Hi...' she said with a genuine smile.

'Hmm... I prefer being called Shan by you, makes me feel... special.'

Khanak smiled, as a slight blush spread across her cheeks, 'Shan it is then, after all we don't want to take away the thing that makes you feel special.'

He bowed slightly and said, 'Thank you!' they both smiled as he sat down in the chair next to her.

After a minute of awkward silence, Khanak spoke, 'so are we going to sit here and admire the nature, or are we going to talk, I mean we have to talk at some point.'

'You are right, so what do you think about the weather?'

Khanak laughed, 'weather, really?'

'ab kahi se toh shuru karna tha na?'

'Okay, hmm... weather, its... cold.'

'Good observation, it is cold.'

'See! Weather is a really bad conversation starter; you always meet a dead end!'

'I know! Plus it is so irritating when someone comes to you and asks about the weather, I mean, it cold, you can feel it to why ask?!'

'Exactly! Baat karni hai to iss coffee ki karo!' Khanak held the coffee with both her hands and took in its aroma, 'I love the smell of fresh and hot coffee, especially in weather like this!'

Shantanu smiled, looking at her smell the coffee, she is different, he said to himself, as he kept on staring at her innocent face as she broke into a huge smile before declaring her love for coffee, and taking a huge gulp of it.

'kya hua?'

'ah... kuch nahi, yeh sooch raha tha ki tum moustache main kitni pyaari lagti ho.'

Khanak laughed, and she wiped her face, 'I'm not sure if that was a complement.'

'I can only complement you, umm... thoda rehta hai,' he pointed towards her face.

'kahan? Yahan?'

She wiped the opposite side.

'um.. nahi, doosri taraf.'

She missed the spot, which was on the edge of her lips, 'ab?', she asked.

Shantanu moved to the edge of his chair as he leaned in and wiped the coffee off her face, with his thumb.

Khanak held her breath as his thumb touched the edge of her lips, as her heart started beating faster by each passing second that his thumb lingered on.

Shantanu, looked at her lips, her hot breath touching his hand as she exhaled, he felt that familiar pull towards her, the longing to kiss her spread through him, and he would have leaned in and kissed her, breaking his promise to Rohan.

'uh... Shantanu... ahem... thanks.'

Shantanu felt himself blush; 'welcome...' he sat back and looked at her smiling.

She smiled back, 'toh... i believe you have had the talk with Rohan about this,' she pointed towards her and them him.

Shantanu, 'and you have had a talk with Natasha...'

Khanak smiled, 'so what are we going to do? We are attracted to eachother, but we wont very different things in life.'

'so it does seem, i mean tum uss type ki ladki ho, who wants a serious relationship.'

Khanak sat forwards and put her elbow on the table and rested her face on her palm, 'aur tum uss kisam ke ho jo ladkiyon ko categorise karta hai.'

'huh... I did... didn't mean it like that...'

'it's fine, i know, and i do it to, but with men, and you are the type who runs away from serious relationships.'

'spot on! So?'

'what do we do?'

'geesh! I hate the talks...'

'i know! But we have to do this...'

'hmm...' he nodded, 'well I will go first, if I may?'

'Oh you can...' she said with a cute smile.

He took a deep breath, 'I think you are a good person who deserves a guy, who will love you, and well we are attracted to one another, but sadly, I am not that guy. But, I would love to have you in my life. You are fun, and confident and a good person, from what I can tell... so' he clapped his hands together, 'your turn.'

'hmm...' she sat up, ' well you seem like a nice guy too, the way you saved me that day, and i like talking to you, we are able to have good conversations.' She paused for a second, 'you are one of the few people i feel, i can trust, and i do want to be in my life. But not as a boyfriend, i thought about it... but we want different things, we are in different places in our lives.'

'Exactly! So we have only one option left.'

'hmm... friendship.'

'You Khanak can read my mind!'

Khanak smiled, 'well that was a complement!'

'it absolutely was!'

'so we are friends then?'

'nope, not yet...'

'Why?!'

Shan stood up, and looked around and after he confirmed there was no one nearby, he went down on his knee, and took Khanak's hand in his, and looked into Khanak's eyes, and then in a deep voice asked, ' Khanak Kapoor, will you be my friend?'

Khanak laughed, 'Shantanu Khandelwal, I would love to!'

'well now that we are friends why don't we go for a horse ride, to seal the deal?'

'hmm.. good idea, but i have a better one.'

'better than horse riding?!'

'ya, finishing our coffee while it's still warm!'

He got up, 'not a bad idea!'

He sat back in his chair, 'waise yeh idea issliye na kyun ki tumhe horse riding nahi aati?'

'I don't even know how to climb a horse!'

They laughed and talked, for a long time.

As usual superb!!! and excellent!!! luved the photos of khanak 's dress.and they have hit off as friends too!!! very good!!!

khanak's outfit is nice😊.....and the way u hav shown these four and their dialogs .are really nice... its just so sweet and i wish it would hav shown in serial too...

and shanak scene is so lovely........😍
