I just loved the title of ur post.
u have made very nice observations.Glad to have people like u in the forum.
thanx for the meaning of baiko.I was breaking my head.Wish I knew marathi.(I think it is a mara
thi word)
Btw in the scene where jaggudada, and his wife visit the couple when they are doing some work.,(the scene before the saamp) the lady says some thing NAVVI or something like that.
Please tell me what does that mean. Also the meaning of other marathi words used in the episode.(if u would recall.)I guess u know marathi.
Anyways a nice post.
thank you shriya for liking this post =]
um ok so the wife said yeh navri bohot chaan hain...it means this girl is very nice
ok the next is, when shaan is talking to jaggu, jaggu says majha dhoka pherla toh ek dum khalnayak....he means to say that when he gets angry he becomes like khalnayak like dangerous....dhoka pherla means agar mera dimaag kharab hua...
one of the words was kashalah...jaggu says this when shaan says he wants to take khanak to mumbai, he says kya kaam hai kashalah....so kashalah means kya kaam hai...why
then when jaggu is calling his baiko he says ikde....that means come here
he also says porgi...to khanak which means girl and porga is boy
jaggu in anger tells his baiko nakko baiko nakko...which means no baikko no...he said this when the wife tells jaggu that we should let him work
last one....when jaggu is talking abt paying him Rs. 100 his wife says, aho kayi tareeka sangta tumhi....im gonna make a guess at this one lol....i think it means that what way is this...
i hope this helped, and i hope u understood it lol
i dont speak marathi but i've learnt it a little so i can understand it little...and with the situations picked up wat they meant. so i hope this helped =]
