MS. CHANDANI- Good Morning!
Everyone stands up.
CLASS- Good Morning Ma'am!
MS. CHANDANI- Thank you.
Everyone sits down.
MS. CHANDANI- Today we have two new students with us. Welcome Nupur and Rano! [she smiled]
Rano and Nupur stood up.
NUPUR/RANO- Thank you Ma'am.
MS. CHANDANI- Since you ladies are new to our collage, why don't we have a volunteer help you find your classes. Any Volunteers? [she looked around]
RANBIR- I Will Ma'am.
Rano and Nupur looked back.
That's the guy I bumped into a few minutes ago Rano thought
MS. CHANDANI- Ranbir? [she looked quite taken back and after a moment smiled] That's very nice of you. Thank you.
The class looked at Ranbir as if they had just witnessed a mirical.
RANBIR- Pleasure's mine. [he grinned]
Rano swore she saw a few girls sigh.
MS. CHANDANI- Girl's this is Ranbir.
Rano and Nupur smiled at Ranbir who smiled back.
Rano and Nupur sat down and the class began.
MAYANK- Ranbir? [he whispered]
RANBIR- Yeah?
MAYANK- Was I just dreaming or did you offer to help the new students to thier class? [he looked confused]
RANBIR- No yaar. You weren't dreaming. I did really volunteer.
MAYANK- ..........
RANBIR- What? is it so hard to believe?
MAYANK- Because.. since when do you show interest in helping new students around..?
RANBIR- I just want to be helpful... [he shrugged]
MAYANK- Right... [he started writing his notes again]
Why am I volunteering? Ranbir wondered
Class ended.
Rano and Nupur gathered thier books and stood up.
RANBIR- Hi. [he smiled]
NUPUR- Hi! [she grinned]
Ranbir looked at Rano
RANO- Hi.. [she said really quietly]
RANBIR- So what do you guys have next? I could show you to your next class.
RANO-.. um..
NUPUR- I have Science Next.
MAYANK- So do I [he came from behind Ranbir and smiled] Hi I'm Mayank.
NUPUR- Hi [she smiled]
RANBIR- This is my friend Mayank... let me warn you.. he's the boring bookworm type [he winked]
Nupur laughed and Rano smiled. Mayank looked at Ranbir annoyingly.
MAYANK- Don't listen to him. I'm not as boring as I look. [he smiled] Oh! Class is going to start soon.
RANBIR- Which reminds me.. um.. Rano?
Rano looked at Ranbir.
RANO- umm...yes?
RANBIR- What class do you have next? [he smiled]
RANO- Civics.
RANBIR- Same here! [his face brightened]
Rano smiled.
RANBIR- So let's show Nupur to her class and then I'll walk you to our next class.
MAYANK- Why? I'll take Nupur to Science. I'm going there anyways. [he smiled and Nupur]
RANBIR- Good Idea.
RANO- But...
NUPUR- Don't worry Di. I'll see you at lunch!
Nupur gave her sister a hug and walked to her next class with Mayank.
RANBIR- Coming Rano? [he grinned]
RANO- Yeah..
