DOTW: Ravan cursed from nalkuber..

STORY: How ravan got cursed by son of Kuber...

When Ravan took over Lanka from Kuber, Kuber was annoyed with ravan for his cruelity Ravan in turn proceeded to heaven fighting and defeating the gods. There at one night his army was resting and he was asleep looking into moon and was planning for next day. At that instance, he saw a beautiful women an upsara and got attracted by her. Suddenly he grabbed her and asked who she is?
He actually was badly attracted by her and wanted to have her.
She requested him saying "what r u doing , instead of protecting me you are having bad intentions. You must protect me , I m your daughter in law. You should not behave like this"
She tried to convince him in many ways but Ravan was badly crushed by her and replied "ok first let me know the relation between us then I will decide"
That female replied" I am Rambha, an upsara and am in love with Nalakuber who is Kubers son and Kuber is your elder brother so I am your daughter in law. Nalakuber also love me so much and right now he is waiting for me , so please release me and let me go"
Ravans appetite was never fulfilled, and his taste for women never satisfied. He replied "Talk about you, here in heaven all is fair. One god has many wives and upsaras are not meant to marry anyone. So how can you be my daughter in law. saying all this he seduced her . she denied so many times but was finally raped by him.then she went to Nalkuber crying, feeling very ashamed, and told him what happened.
The blood boiled in Nalkubers body and he cursed(shrap) Ravan at that very instance. He yelled at the universe and the clouds opened up to hear his request. He demanded that this savage be
stopped, and that if Ravan who raped Rambha were to touch another unwilling woman he shall die that very instant. His head will cut into pieces.

This is the reason why Ravan never touched Sitaji in lanka, and always tried to make her
accept him willingly.

SITAJI IN ASHOK VATIKA:

Sitaji there in vatika, spent all her time weeping and praying lord Ram to come for her rescue else will end her life.She refused eating fruits and drinks offered to her. Seeing all this , Brahmaji was worried , if sitaji will die then Ramji too will end his life and then their plan of Ravans death will fail. So he requested Indraji Then Indra ji along with Nidra devi went there and coz of nidra devi all went to sleep and
Indraji offered sitaji pious divya kheer which will let her live without eating and drinking and in good state. She first of all asked him to prove whether he is Indra or demon then later after getting proof she before eating that pious kheer offered the same to ramji and laxmanji through prayers and was happy to know Gods are with them.Like this she never ate anything in lanka when she was in captivity of Ravan for about a year.

it is said that you cannot curse yoru elderor bring ill words at him,and again, it was the humiliation of his bethrothed,i think instead of a curse, nakuber should have challenged ravan. and a question : when was rambha bethorthed to nalkuber? i mean she had a oot of lovers or something like that, did n't she?

yeah well what i think ramji is the only one who dont curse anyone else in anger or in depression ppl do such things.
well sita11 , this is also Ramjis lila to protect Sitaji from Ravan. Sitaji protected herself by using that kush vidya, a kush with mantras can act as weapon,
here when they showed vashishth teaching this vidya to young Ram.

Ravana originally used to force himself upon any woman who rejected his advances. Two significant encounters occurred that would shape the course of the Ramayana.

The first was the molestation of the sage-woman Vedavati. Vedavati had been performing penance with the intention of winning Lord Vishnu as her husband. Ravana met her at her hermitage, her beauty enhanced by the austerities she had performed. She, however, rejected his advances. Ravana proceeded to forcibly take her, upon which she prophesied that she would return to the mortal world as the cause of his death. She then created a pyre and let herself be consumed in it.And she cursed ravan

The second was his encounter with the apsara Rambha, upon whom he forced himself. Rambha was betrothed to Kubera's son, but her plea that she was like a daughter to him did not deter Ravana. Angered at this, Kubera's son cursed Ravana, stating that his ten heads would fall off his head if he forced himself upon any woman from that point. This curse protected Sita's chastity while she was Ravana's captive for nearly a year

sita ji satitva was so strong she created a circle of ram name andit was said she used kush a tiny piece of grass to protect herself if ravan ever try to cross thst line he would be killed
