Yes Lalitha, you are right! I too happened to see the first episode today and it was really nice. I liked the make up of the Vanars, looked very natural. The actress doing Anjana's role has done a really good job.

One thing I did not understand was Mohini's role in the birth of Hanuman. Even Shiva had the required sternness and roughness, except that I thought his wig did not sit properly on his head.

But otherwise it is a very promising show.

There really should be a forum for this show. If not I think we should at least be allowed to continue using this forum to discuss it.

The production values look good. Except for Shiva's wig that is, that is one horrible wig. 😆 And why a rubber snake? Various shows and movies have used real snakes. They should have used a real one.

The prosthetics for the vanars are quite good. They remind me of the apes from the Planet of the Apes movies. 😉Finally Sagars have caught up with late 60s Hollywood prosthetics. Took them long enough. 😆

The actors for Shiva and Vishnu are not up to my taste though.

I like the songs. 😊

Ok one of the flash forwards at the end of the episode showed what looked like the future adult Hanuman inscribing the Ramayana on stone. Looks like they are going to show that story I posted in my Rakshsasa's advocate thread. 😊 It was annoying to see him writing in Devanagari script though. When will they do some proper research? 😳

@chen2: they beat around the bush as far as Mohini's role is concerned. That's why it looked odd/incomplete. 😆
