Jai Sri Ram

Luv and Kush reach Ayodhya. They sing about Sita. The people make crowd around them. Ayodhyavasis are saying that these rishi-kumars look so handsome.
Darshaniya do divya kumare
Rajhans do pyare pyare
Karte hain Sita pe hue anyay pe ishare

Dekh inhe achraj mein prajajan
Dekh inhe achraj mein prajajan
pher mein pad gaye gyani
Balajogi bolat yun Shivani

LK sing:-
Hum van ke vasi vandevi ke jaaye
Hum van ke vasi vandevi ke jaaye
Tyagmayi mata ke tumko
Tyagmayi mata ke tumko
Katha sunane aaye
Hum van ke vasi vandevi ke jaaye
Mithila ki us rajkumari ka shibh naam hai Sita
Use Ramji ne Shivji ka dhanus todkar jita
Kye gurujan aur parijan ke bhi hriday hue patthar ke
Siya ki dasha pe na koi roya aankh mein aansu bharke
Dayahin apni karni par tanik nahi pachhtaye
Tanik nahi pachhtaye, tanik nahi pachhtaye
Ram sone ki pratima gadhakar
Janki ko palkon mein dhundhen
Ram ki ye vivashta hai kaisi
Jo kushal tak nahi mit ki poonchhen

Whereever LK go, the entire Ayodhyavasis move with them.
Sumant - Maharaj, two rishi-kumars have made Ayodhya-vasis cry. They are singing Maharani Sita's story. There is magic in their voice. They ask such questions that Ayodhyavasis are not able to answer. Some people are saying that Sita should be searched and brought back.
Ram - Is this the opinion of only some people or whole of Ayodhya?
Sumant - Maharaj, as of now, it is only of some.
Ram also hears the voice of Luv and Kush.
Ram - Is this the same song?
Sumant - Yes, Maharaj
Ram - Sumant ji, bring rishi-kumars here with full honour.

In Valmiki ashram, Sita is doing Shiv puja.
Sita - Lord, my sons met their father but did not recognize him. By your blessings, they have again gone to meet their father. Let father and sons meet this time.

By now all ashram vasis have known that Vandevi is Sita. They come to meet Sita. They are crying.
Sita - What happened? Why are you crying? Is everything all right?
Nani ma - Forgive us, daughter. We lived with you for so many years but we could not recognize you. You are Ayodhya's Maharani. Still you lived here and faced so many difficulties. You could have at least given a hint that you are our Lord Sri Ram's wife. Even though unknowingly, we gave us so much of trouble.
Sita - Ma, can a mother give troubles to her daughter? Like you, I am also an ordinary woman. Only a mother can give so much of love, which you gave me. I should apologize to you that I may have done something wrong.
Nani ma - Do not make me a sinner by saying that.
Another woman - We have become free from sins by your association.
Nani ma - I have only one request that do not forget this mother when you go to the palace.
Sita - I can never forget you, these ashram vasis, these trees and plants and the animals and the birds of this ashram. How can I forget? I will live in the hearts of all of you.

Luv and Kush are talking.
Luv - Bhaiya, after hearing the story, the Ayodhyavasis were not able to stop their tears.
Kush - This means that they have not forgot their queen. Even now they love our mother.
Luv - Bhaiya, even now there must be some people who doubt our mother because of which father had to exile mother.
Kush - Yes, we have to remove doubts from all people.

Sumant comes to Luv and Kush.
Sumant - Our people are searching for you for so long. Ayodhya-naresh Maharaj Ramchandra wants to meet you. He has ordered that you be brought to the palace with full honour.
Luv and Kush are very happy because they were waiting for this moment.

In the palace
Urmila - Ma, two rishi-kumars are singing Sri Ram's story in the streets of Ayodhya.
Shrutkirit - All shed tears on hearing the story.
Kaushalya - Who are they?
Urmila - Do not know but they are wearing the clothes of rishis.
Shrutkirit - When we heard this, then we also felt like hearing Sri Ram's story from them.
Kaushalya - Let us call them here. We all will hear.
Urmila - Ma ji, Maharaj Ram has sent Arya Sumant to bring them here.
Kaushalya - You both go and see if Arya Sumant has come back with them. I would like to hear them singing.
Kaushalya (to God) - From morning, I various thought are coming to my mind. First rishi-kumars stop the horse. Then rishi-kumars sing Ram's story. Why do I think that something is going to happen? What is the role of these rishi kumars in our life? God, what do you want? What indication are you giving?

Sumant comes to Ram with Luv and Kush.
Apne mahal mein aa gaye mahal ke rajkumar
Pita putra dono khade ek duje ko nihare

Ram - You two?
Luv and Kush touch Ram's feet. Ram blesses them. There are tears in LK's eyes on getting blessings from Ram.

Sri charno par jhuke hain balak
Ashish de Ram jag palak
Hridayon mein hai halchal apar
Nainon se bahti jaldhar

Ram - Tears in your eyes?
LK - It is because of happiness, Maharaj. You put your hands on our heads. This is what happens to whoever gets Maharaj Ram's blessings. The way a son gets emotional on getting his father's blessings, the same way it is natural for us subjects to get emotional.
Ram - Do not know why but even I am getting emotional. That day I saw your courage and today this magic of your voice. You are experts in both warfare and music. This is a unique combination.
LK - This is because of our gurudev.
Ram - He gave you the knowledge of music?
LK - Yes, Maharaj. Gurudev has written a great poetry called Ramayan. In that he has described your life-story.
Ram - He has written very beautifully. Will you recite to me also?
LK - If you wish, we will. But if you want to hear the whole story, then it will take lots of time.
Ram - Do not worry. Every day, after the yagna you may sing. We all will hear.
LK - As you wish, Maharaj.

Happy Birthday, Rupali!

Thanks Avinash for a wonderful update. The kids were so cute and Gurmeet was so sweet with them.

Thanks for the update Avinash. Lots of the lines were taken directly from previous serial but the epi was good. Thanks.

Yep, what's the origin of that story? Which version was it from?

One difference - here, Sumantra informs Rama about the mood of the kingdom, whereas in the previous serial, his domestic spy (Sumagadh) tells him. Methinks they should have brought back the spy who first was forced to break to Rama the bad news.

Also, if they are in the city, then when they are taking a break from singing, why are they in the woods? Why not stay in the city and pick up later where they left off?

Yup, it's good to follow something good, but copy word for word? It doesn't take long to use different words that convey the same meaning you know. Methinks whoever the script writer is (probably Anand Sagar), they were too busy with the numerous other serials they're trying to juggle and just decided to use the previous serial word for word for most of the episode. The first thing I noticed was that Sumantji said the exact same thing Bhadra (the spy) did in the old serial.
However, you're right that the magic of Ramayan seemed more prominent in this episode than in the previous ones, Luv Kush's song (tune copied directly once again from previous Hum Van Ke Vaasi song in Old Ramayan) still made me emotional and Ram and Luv Kush's meeting was just too good. It really seemed as if those kids are Gurmeet's kids and they're meeting him for the first time as their father.😳 (Is it just me, or does the kid who plays Luv look a little like Gurmeet)?

Methinks they should have brought back the spy who first was forced to break to Rama the bad news. Was his name Sumagadh? I thought it was Bhadra.šŸ˜• And I think they didn't bring in the spy because they don't how to get hold of the actor.šŸ˜† Using Sumantra was probably much easier than hunting down someone else.

Also, if they are in the city, then when they are taking a break from singing, why are they in the woods? Why not stay in the city and pick up later where they left off? I don't know.šŸ˜• In the previous serial, Ram's messenger interrupted Luv Kush from their singing and told them to come to the palace (which was a bit rude of him. He should of at least let them finish the sentence they were on), and in this serial, Luv Kush were in this woody area. They seemed a bit tired (probably from all that walking and singing). Maybe they were waiting for some response from the people after their song.

I think the highlight of today's episode was Ram's meeting with Luv Kush. It was just tooooo good!šŸ˜ I can't get enough of that scene. Poor Ram has been without the love of his children while he watches his brothers have special moments with their sons. Finally he is reunited with his children (though he doesn't know they're his children yet).

This entire episode is not there in any version that I know of, forget Valmiki altogether. It's not even there in the variants that have K-L singing. In all the versions where they sing, K-L do sing at the yagna, but never on the streets of Ayodhya, and never for the purpose of convincing people of Sita's chastity. In the versions that have the battles, more often then not, there is no singing involved. Which is why I was curious - did Ramanand Sagar write this story?

In this serial, it was Bhadra. In the last one, it was Sumagadh. You are right - it is easier to use Sumantra. Although, wouldn't he be more busy at the yagna, rather than go around looking for those 2 singing kids? šŸ¤”

He could have, but I remember that he appeared on screen in the end of Ramayan and gave a statement that he did not make up any scenes in his serial. Every scene was taken from some version of Ramayan.
