The question above didn't say much, so let me explain!

Anybody who's read the original Valmiki knows that there is the simple case of Rama exiling Sita to Valmiki's ashram, Sita having her kids and Shatrughan being present at their naming, Shatrughan killing Lavanasura, Rama holding his Ashwamedha yagna, K-L musically reciting the Ramayan in court, Sita taking her oath and so on.

Then there are those other stories that vary in detail, but essentially have K-L capturing the Ashwamedha horse and battling Rama's army. The accounts that have this generally don't have them singing the Ramayan.

However, this Ananda Sagar Ramayan has stories none of us ever read anywhere, like Karkati's alliance with Lavanasura, Sita volunteering exile, all 4 brothers having twins, Sita treating her babies rugged in the beginning, the kids handling snakes, poking arrows into rakshasha noses, having rakshashas scratch themselves with poison ivy, and so on.

In the meantime, none of the stories we are familiar with so far have surfaced, which then has one wondering where this story is headed, and how far. Given all that, my question above:

Are you finding all this boring?

I hear you, Chandraketu! My answer would be yes and no.
Yes, because it is not Valmiki version.
No - just because I'm collecting so called "fan-fiction" about Indian epic.(and I have brilliants and emeralds in my collection) In this terms Sagar's version is just on spot.

From my part, any version of the epics or legends that is provided is interesting on its own, although I don't take seriously any version of the Ramayan that has everybody knowing throughtout that Rama is Vishnu, or that has the sort of distortions we are seeing. I'm still watching this the same way I'd stop to see a car wreck. But I am curious re: whether people are finding it boring, since this story seems to be meandering with no goal in sight.

Yes, for me the serial is getting boring...but still I'm watching it hoping that it'll get better and some proper stuff will be shown, rather than 'fictionalizing' Ramayana.

Thats why I still hoped 😃 that, atleast stories from Valmiki Ramayan will be shown in bits n pieces.

I dunno. If they are following Ananda Ramayan, I'd rather that they show that, instead of mixing it up with bits & pieces of the others. (Okay, okay, I'm glad they didn't show Rama asking Lakshman for Sita's hand🤢) That way, at least there is a referrable text that one can consult.

Also, if they follow Ananda Ramayan and show Rama getting back Sita after she goes underground, I may not mind that too much, given all the other distortions they've smuggled in. Maybe the Sagars have a happy ending in mind, and therefore chose to show it this way.🤔

Looks like they'll be showing this sorta stuff for 12 years (the period of Sita's exile) before they get to the Ashwamedha yagna.

Well, today's episode, for instance! Seeing Rama, Lakshman, Urmila, their kids, Kaushalya, Sumitra, et al is out of the question. Instead, we get treated to poor Luv pricking his foot, and the 2 of them rescuing a goat.🤔

Outstanding sense of priorities!

lolz...i agree with the Sagar's outstanding sense of priorities....i think after vanvaas scenes ended..everything was just going slowly downhill for me...even while i was catching up with a few epi's here and there in India....I was feeling bad b/c this show used to be my top priority to watch as soon as i came home from work...now its like, i barely get a chance to read the updates...& wutever i know i get info from my sis!!!!
Why Sagars Why!!!!! I do however wish they wud start showing more Gurmeet...I wud def start watching again....and they can even maybe show more of Gurmina together in Flashback scenes or wut not!!!!!

I am watching it still, but it's not my priority as Desichica described. They should def show more of Gurmeet in flashback scenes or Ayodhya scenes. Today was especially boring with Luv-Kush on their way to Kuberlok!
