Suraasur? The name is quite strange.
I can recall only Surapadma (also called Suraa) but he is from the Skanda Purana.
No idea where Suraa or Suraasur come in Ramayan.

The other Sura that comes to my mind is from The Jungle Book, one of the wolfy brothers of Mowgli........... he he he

I love Jungle Book! 😆 Sagars want to give us all our second childhood. 😆 I am actually enjoying the stories. It is so silly and funny. It is tickling my funny bone and I do enjoy fluff stuff cos it is a great stress buster. Aaha! Sagars special form of yoga. Stress busting Luv-Kush! 😆

Surapadma? He was the asura due to whom Kartikeya was born to kill, and who after being defeated was transformed into Kartikeya's vehicular peacock, right?

I read 1-45-36. Suras seems to be another term for the Aditi-putra devas, rather than her name, no? Also, she's the presiding deity of hard liquer, such as sura, soma and presumably taquilla, vodka, etc: pina colada and bloody mary would be beneath her league😆😆😆

You got it right, Chandra!!! He split into two - the peacock and the cock (the flag symbol of Kartikeya)🤣

😆 How about taking her and Vali with us to our party with Mallika which she promised some time back. Oohoo! Mallika, what happened? 😆😆😆

I guess this is why the Devtas are known as "Sura" bcoz they possessed this lady Sura, and the clan not possessing her as "Asura"?

He!he! our devtas were party dudes then. Now u know why they didn't want the asuras along. They didn't want to share the drinks. 🤣
Now that is perfectly understandable. 😆
Poor guys, without the Sura they were left running around in blue, green, and red colors with horns sticking out of their foreheads. One guy also tried having beads in his hair to fool the Sura lady into thinking that he is an island mon. But he has been left out in the cold. 🤣😆
😆
Hey Chandra and all...do u think the Sagars got the idea for the blue rakshas from the blue men...u know the ones who were featured in Intel ads...they also perform in Vegas. 😆
This strikes me as rather out of character - the devas wanting the drinks, and the asuras being teetotlers (aside from having meat)? Gives us a new set of guidelines on what is dharm and what's adharm - drinking is definitely dharm😆
Also, the devas didn't grab any of the things that first came out, while the asuras took everything. Yet, when it came to the Varuni and the suras, they did not want it? A lot of us would have done the opposite 🤣🤣🤣: the asuras seem like sadhus in contrast to us🤣
As a former AMD'er, I think the Sagars are welcome to Intel mascots - I sure wouldn't my company's mascots to feature in this charade masquerading as the Ramayan⭐️
