Do you think Ramayana and Mahabharata is real

Do you think our hindu epic Ramayan and mahabharat is real story or a mythology created by some profound story teller. few Leaders say -

Dear s rocha, ask this question, after you include the option "Yes Sure". Because it is our culture, after some centuries, may be our successors might ask whether it is real story that Britishers ruled India and is it true to believe that all our freedom fighters have struggled for independence?

and if heard ,,,,,,,that sometym back all the news channels said that ,,,people have found the place in sri lanka ,,,where they got the footprints of hanuman ji!!!! and ashok vatika and even the place where ravan kept his airplane( i dont know the name ,,,,,sorry ) !!!!!! aren't they related to ramayan katha ,,,,
reporters are not fools that they r paying stress on story which is not true !!!!!!!!!
