I personally feel she is one of the important characters of ramayan...infact she is the one who lead to start of ravan attacking ram by abducting sita.she was the one who informed Ravan about Rama having a beautiful wife.why would she do that? and also there is lot of mystery surrounding her..she was a widow...her own brother Ravan killed her husband...as per some tales it is mentioned that she did everything as part of revenge from RAVAN...

all this makes her very interesting character...😳

Plus I've always kind of found her...I don't know...a bit weird. When she saw Ramji for the first time, she had just lost her son and was in mourning. I was shocked that she could be lustful towards another man during such a tragic time. I really like the theory that she did everything as revenge against Ravan. It makes us pity her and kind of justifies her actions. Otherwise, if that theory is not true, I find her to be a selfish character who staked the lives of her brothers and nephews for her own ambitions and silly revenge. Although she saw Khar and Dushan being defeated by Ram single-handedly, she still went to Ravan despite knowing of Ram's prowess. So the theory that she did everything to get revenge on Ravan justifies her actions. Otherwise she was simply a selfish character.

exactly, as per revenge theory..whe she saw ram defeating khar and dushan and their entire army..she was pretty convinced that only RAM could kill Ravan and thats why she goes to RAVAN to get his sympathy and to provoke him to fight against RAM...
