"...Antarmaan thi vandu tujhne, sheesh jukawi aaj,

kartavya ane tyag ni ek seema kari te paar

Shabdo thaki jityo te mane, vin danush ne baan,

Kritagya thai vachan thi tara, aarabh karu hu vanvaas

Nathi koi bhay ke chinta, vishwaas che taro saath..."

Sorry Guys just felt I could express this best in Gujarati, so wrote in Gujarati...here's the translation

...I, bow to you today with all my heart

You have broken all boundaries in terms of self-sacrifice and selflessness

You have won me today with your words, where is the need for bow and arrow

With gratitude and respect for your devotion and sacrifice, I begin my exile

There is no fear or worry as your faith is always with me...

"this is unbelievable... the number of questions are enormous, but id like to answer all of them...first of all thanks to ***keyword-removed*** for this opportunity to connect with the people who appreciate my work and i love... ok i might not be able to answer in the right order of the questions asked but ill try... ill start from the beginning, yes i had auditioned for this role ,star plus liked it and asked me to play the character... the question regarding preparation for the character, i was given the last ten episodes of ali to adapt his body language and mannerisms but i couldnt see them coz i was busy with reading the script and understanding it myself, coz the method that suits me is first try it my way,if not comfortable then watch the episodes... i think inspiration is a must in any creative field and so am i inspired by good hollywood movies(not gonna name coz its a long list)and a few of our hindi cinema...what clicks with me is subtle perfromances so thats what i aim for in my perfromances, and subtlety works when the character is given layers and for that ill have to give credit to my writers and directors... now coming to the complexity of the character...well at first when i started off i felt that this guy is really complex, but gradually i started to feel that hes just human and simple...he has a few questions in his mind which act as driving force for all his actions,so whenever i was given a scene i'd first ask myself those questions and then say the lines and of course my directors' vision would also enhance my performance... its simply a different feeling when you see that your expressions have been captured correctly and for that you need a DOP as the one on gulaal, Anil Katke..it was fantastic working with him,hes such a perfectionist, wouldnt let go off a single shot if he thought that its not cinematically right he'd do a retake...and as for my dream to become a director theres still lot of time for it..more the number of projects that i do im learning from them widening my horizon, coz to be a director you need a world view on every aspect of life then only can i give layers to a story... there were a lot of scenes which were not straight forward they had a combination of feelings involved, i think if i have been successful in potraying those feelings then a lot credit goes to the writers for it..coz they worte the screenplay so beautifully that it was so clear to all of us what the writer had in mind..but ya then there is a flip side to it, coz when things are so clear and when you dont deliver it becomes taxing...i had to make sure i was clear with the thought of the scene coz for me the thought is more important than anything else... im happy that a lot of you have liked my work till date and for those who arent convinced by it, it is my loss maybe i need to try harder and reach out to them, but im happy they atleast saw my work...for me everyone of you is important coz i read ur comments and get inspired to work harder:) the question regarding the TRP system, well i dont fully understand it.it used to mean a lot to me earlier but then came a point where i said i need to concentrate more on my craft than this system coz there others appointed to do that work:)so ya it doesnot affect me too much but i do keep a tab on what are the ratings... someone asked a question regarding negative criticism, well yes it does affect me im human and i think the whole point is to get affected, but what is important is how one deals with it...i'd like to use the negative criticism and make it my plus point,im not saying im successful in doin that everytime but i try my best...and someone even asked how does it feel to have so many fan clubs in my name, im THRILLED by the love and adulation from all of you...it gives me a reason to go on in this career...its that important to me... well if i were to do a role in dil chahta hai then i'd like to do aamir's role:) actually all three are worth dying for roles but i would love to do aamir's role... i chose this career of acting coz dance is always a part of it so i dont i have to concentrate on any one of them... yes i have felt a lot of times that a particular scene should have been in a different or a better way...an example would be all the scenes where i have to laugh openly,i think i could do it much better...coz as a person also i dont laugh openly i have a wide smile but not an open laughter... i think in this show i have a lot of personal favorite scenes..to name a few the drunk scene where i hold gulaal and say TU HI MERI PARESHANI HAI...then the final good bye scene which was telecasted just a few days ago and the final confession from gulaal...these are just a few that ive written... like i used to say abt the karolbagh crew likewise gulaals' crew was also a pleasure to work with, i have a family like bond with all the co actors... i think im lucky that i got such wonderful co stars like smiriti and manasi..they both are wonderful people and wonderful actors too...i cant choose between the two coz both are really dear friends to me... as for my next project im in talks with a few production houses...lets hope something good materializes...the moment it does ill inform u all...till then love u all:) "

The holding of hands is such a pure gesture in our religion that I am astounded anyone could find a problem with it.😕 I honestly think they like to complain about any Lakshman-Urmila scene. Even if Urmila were to touch Lakshman's feet they'd call it impure.🤔
I watch this Ramayan only for Lakshman and Urmila, because I find their scenes really pure and meaningful. I'm wondering how I can continue watching the show without them. I wish the PH shows Lakshman remembering Urmila in flashbacks. That's what Imagine's Ramayan did and it was really nice seeing Urmila even during the long vanvaas.😳

True...even the bride leads him in some steps around the sacred fire!😳
Actually the point here is not the touch, vision or anything sensory! It is the thought playing in the mind at that point of time!
What is done physically can be seen on the screen!But...the thought behind it must be understood!!!
If one concludes by just watching the thing in front of their eyes then thats a big blunder!

Neilu, Thank you so much for posting Neil's reply. It was nice to be reminded of his experience as Kesar.
Aditi, those lines are so beautiful.I was able to understand the verse in Gujarati without much difficulty. The translation in English was just icing on cake. You captured the emotion of that moment perfectly.

I was just thinking of something. Didn't Ram also touch Sita's head while he made his eka patnivrat vow earlier on? Then too he was in front of everyone. Did people not think that indecent if Lakshman holding Urmila's hand was?😲

Lavanasura Vadham - Amritha Shastri(1800 to --) BACK

The story opens in Ayodhya where Rama is ruling after duly completing his 14 years in exile. During the coversation between a washerman and his washerwoman it appeared as if there is a black mark on the purity of Sita who had spent a few months alone in Lanka. This comes out when the washerman tells the washerwoman that I will not take you back in my house if you spend a single night outside even though Rama took back Sita. Even though this comparison is quite unjust, Rama, respecting popular opinion decided to send Sita into the forest. At that time Sita was pregnant and also contemplating to visit some Sages in the forest and take their blessings. Rama requested Lakshmana to leave Sita in the forest and come back. The unsuspecting Sita was left in the forest but fortunately near the Ashram of Valmiki. Valmiki took Sita into the ashram and consoled her. Soon Sita delivered twins. Valmiki named them Kusha and Lava. He taught them all the sciences and arts of the time.

During this time in the nearby forest lived a demon called Lavanasura. He was terrorising the Sages who lived in the forest. They complained to Rama who sent Shatrughna to deal with the demon. Shatrughna kills the demon. Then starts an Aswamedha yaga in which a decorated horse was sent out followed by a mighty army led by Shatrughna. The horse came near to Valmiki's ashram. Lava and Kusha tied up the horse, and fouight with Shatrughna and defeated him. Rama also came for battle but went back without fighting.

Rama then asked Hanuman to bring the Horse. However Lava and Kusha tied up Hanuman (rather Hanuman allows himself to be tied up) and brought him to Sita. Sita was astonished and immensely happy to see Hanuman. She ordered him to be released from the knots. Hanuman enquired about the wellbeing of Sita and also told her that Rama had made a statue of Sita for completing the yaga rites. This made Sita happy. Hanuman went back happily with the Horse.

2008 Ramayan did not show Hanuman being brought to Sita by Luv Kush, but the main fact is that they showed Lavanasura vadh 11-12 years after the birth of Luv Kush.

thanks alot for sharing
