This is a story from Ranganatha Ramayana, the source from Andhra Pradesh in Southern India. In this version, Lakshman gave up his sleep for Urmila so that she wouldn't have to suffer separation. She slept throughout the 14 years and woke up just as he returned, so it seemed like not even a moment passed since he left.😊
