hereit is said laskhman observed celibacy throughout his life...its not given in the main article but if u read a book on it u will find a conversation between lord rama and lakshmana something that is shown in the show where urmila heard them talking...it happened something like that lord rama asked lakshmana to get married as soon he returned to ayodhya but lakshmana refused saying he is not meant for love and marriage for him lord rama is everything...

in central india folk tale which could be found in the library the book name is "RAMAYANA IN THE TRIBES OF INDIA..the book is in hindi..." there are certain passages containing beautiful conversation between lakshmana and urmila where he refused to marry and urmila didnt said a siingle word but went to goddess sita and asked her to grant her wishes...sita knew the misfortune of urmila and asked her to forget lakshmana and urmila said she will be ready to bear everything in the name of thy love...clearly urmila was in love as its shown here and in NDTV ramayan and then lord rama understood urmila dilemma he went to laskhmana and explained him the meaning of love and marriage and how it is the way to attain the god (something we saw wen lord rama was explaining love to his brother and then the grand wedding took place)

there is paper work by guhyre which tells that laskhmana was somewht a tragic hero he was heroic among htem he knew his deeds may lead to bad consequences still he acted according to the wish of lord rama here also the writer has depicted the reluctance of lakshmana to marry urmila which was seen him throughout the epi...he was also guilty of leaving sitamaa and cutting supernakha nose ...

the post relationship between urmila and laskhmana is hinted in ramayana in the tribes of india

it is depicted urmila and lakshmana were perfect husband and wife and they lead a very happy life some of the tales are vocal usually popular in parts of ayodhya lucknow and chitrakoot...

there is passage in uttar ramayana where sitamaa teases laskhmana to recognize his young bride among the poster lakshmana was so shy tht he quickly change off the topic he did recognized his bride if u read uttar ramayana u will get to know its in google book too wait i will give the link

so one can deduce tht they had a strong relationship afterwards

the satavik character of urmila is the one I read in Ramakatha Rasa Vahini of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Kindly clarify your source if you read(such variations are possible, . she never left her room or changed clothes. For, in the RKR Vahini, Baba says she never slept for the 14 years in sympathy with her husband on self imposed exile. Indeed Prince Lakshman did not sleep (hence called 'Urangavili' in Tamil or the unslept one) for 14 years and qualified to kill the valiant Indrajith who could be killed only by one who had not slept for 12 years or so and celibate.

the celibacy that lakshmana observed is given in krittivassi ramayana

there is one popular folktale where naradji some where it is written nidra devi asked her for boon and she asked to nidra devi to make laskhmana forget her it given in the google article too plz google it

so in short we can deduce lakshmana was hesitant to marry but once he married he was a devoted husband and urmila and lakshmana went through hardship and remain loyal pious to each other and in the end they were united...

As for Sati and Parvathi, their stories are written in Shiva Purana, Devi Bhagwatham, Skanda Purana, etc so we know those stories in detail and why they broke the strictures of society. By not giving us a basis for Lakshman's rudeness and Urmila's forwardness in this show, we are left to think it's fiction (which it very well may be since SP is famous for that) and I'd rather see no love story between them than something that is total fiction.
