emmm *darte darte walks in* i dont have reference nor do i have any link i have read only ramcharitmanas and here is the link http://hindi.webdunia.com/religion/religion/hindu/ramcharitmanas/AyodyaKand/ and if i purely go by this ramcharitmanas it is depicted lakshmana wedded urmila and wen he requested lord rama to take him along with him he only seek the permission of mother sumitra...and thats it he went away without meeting urmila??? he didnt thought it was important to bid her farewell???? and in 14 years he didnt even mentioned her name as if she didnt existed for him ???? he didnt even wrote to her ???? was writing a letter to dear ones against the rule of forest exile ?????

@ piu the tales are scattered from north to south ...so many tales are there...i actually asked some of the ppl who were doing research on mythos...they showed me some books and paperback i mentioned some in the post and then google baba always work😆...baaki rishikesh k sages k sharan mein jaana baalike tumhara kalyan hoga...😳

I think you guys are taking me wrong. I'm not against creative liberty because I too feel it's what makes a mythological show different from a book, but at the same time there should be some support behind it and just to "explore" the characters the creatives should not make up something. I do not know whether the Lakshman-Urmila story shown here has any support in folklore or not, but if it's not then I'm wondering where did it come from? Why are the creatives making Lakshman brush Urmila off just because he doesn't want to marry? As far as I know, Lakshman did not want to marry because he feared not giving any happiness to his wife since he'd be in service to his brother throughout his lifetime, but in Urmila he recognized a dedicated and sacrificial woman whom he knew would never speak out against him, so Lakshman was not against marriage but the restricting duties of a husband which would prevent him from being the ideal brother.

i cannot actually fathom the thought that a person who was not so eager for marriage...can suddenly become a lover...and will have some love conversation..that just does not fit in...
we do have tales where it says lakshman refused to marry..he even says this to urmila (not yet shown in this show)...so that kind of throws some light into his mental dilemma...how can such a person express or confess his love out of no where...for lakshman it was a slow process...he must have had to churn his mind like anything ..no one can say when the love bloomed..high chances it happened after marriage
